Hare Symbolism for the New Earth – Birthing the Cosmic Egg

In a recent, previous post I touched a bit on my painting, Spirit, the last of five in the series In Lak’ech. Spirit takes us beyond polarities and is full integration with transmutation inwardly and outwardly. As mentioned, this painting has many embedded codes and symbolism for energetic healing integration, which is why this and the other paintings I create can be used as meditational tools. One of the symbols, the Dagaz or Dea Rune is found anchoring the white hare’s feet in this image. Spirit holds some powerful energy and as promised, I wanted to reveal a little about one more aspect to this painting in regard to why the hare/rabbit being (with human and extraterrestrial essence) was chosen intuitively for the representation of this “beyond polarity” energy representation for the fifth element, Spirit.

Joy with Raja Seraphina

Of course those that know me know how deeply connected I am with rabbits. As a vegan and lover of all animals and beings, I have felt connected with animals since birthing into this Earthly experience, but rabbits are just, for whatever and many reasons, extremely dear and close to my heart and I resonate profoundly with them. Not only do I connect and understand them in a very personal way as a reflection, but I absolutely adore their magickal and precious essence in a way I can’t describe.

As I speak, my dear little Joy (lop eared bunny) is exploring my office and came to rest right next to the table that holds my large Quartz Crystal Skull, Raja Seraphina – a profound sign of her supporting what I am writing and connecting with the energy, as Raja Seraphina possesses the integration of both empowered female and male energies. (I’m actually really proud of her because she is on the wood floor, which was a fear she has been learning to overcome all by herself. She has learned to be safe on the floor in my/our sacred space, so I’m sure she will soon be exploring the entire house freely. A great example of how we can overcome fears).

I’ve been honored to have 3 bunny loves in my life, one of which is Nestor, whom I speak of often and has departed this Earthly plane. Part of the reasoning for the white hare in my painting, has to do with very personal healing stories connected with her, as well as simultaneous, collective healing that spoke through her for the essence of the painting.

The other 4 paintings depicted either a male or female being as one of the main focal points of the message, and as mentioned are fully integrated/empowered males and females that have embraced the empowered counterpart within them. However, for Spirit, we move beyond depictions of polarities, even in integrated form, and go straight to the heart of integration – and that is where the white hare comes into play.

Hares, throughout time have been associated with a whole myriad of powerfully profound, transmutational energies, as we will see in these excerpts from druidicdawn.org’s post, Hares and the Spring Equinox:

“Ancient peoples found hares one of the most mysterious and perplexing animals around. Hares were thought to be hermaphrodites, male one month and female the next month.” …”The ancient Greeks asserted this was so too, and associated hares thus with powers of self-impregnation and something we now call superfoetation. Superfoetation is “the fertilization of an already pregnant female which causes the simultaneous development of eggs of two different ovarian cycles within the genital tract.” …

“The ancient Mediterranean peoples also all believed that the male hare could also become pregnant.”

…”Going back to the idea of balance between the masculine and feminine at the Equinox, we mustn’t forget that many religions and myths, especially those derived from mystics and shamans, believe that the true nature of ourselves and the divine is found in the union of opposites. And from this union of the Masculine and Feminine, all Creation breaks forth into life and consciousness. It then makes sense that anything in nature that brings together the masculine and feminine, be it sexual intercourse, self-replicating plants, or in this case, hares who interchanged between male and female, were all held as some of the highest most sacred subjects in our world .. because they embody the actual creative powers of the universe.

For many of the reasons stated above, the hare has long been thought of as a mediator of the sacred…

Not only does the hare have lunar connections, but also many Buddhist and Hindu texts describe the hare as a creature of fire, but not just any fire–the same consuming sacrificial fire of the phoenix, then to rise again out of the ashes. The hare in this sense is not just a symbol of cyclical life like the moon and in many tales blatantly depicted as a bringer of reincarnation to mankind, but also in the same way, it becomes a symbol of simultaneous destruction and recreation that is at the very heart of all Life. Life is not just about being creative, but also requires the balance of first being destructive…

For all these reasons, the Hare then is not only associated with the Moon and the Sacred Fire and Spring, but also with the dawn and more importantly, with enlightenment…

Traditionally, the Easter Bunny, actually a Hare, was said to lay eggs at Easter. This concept is of course very strange to our factual minds, but taken symbolically, the Egg is not only Potential, but it also represents the Cosmos, the very ground of Being from which we spring–no pun intended! One only need think about the Cosmic Egg and the Druid’s Egg to begin to get the full scope of this meaning. No wonder then that the Hare was at one time considered both male and female. To produce the cosmos, both must be present.

This union of masculine and feminine makes the Hare an excellent symbol for marriage…

Other associations with the hare that I won’t go into now are witchcraft, or in ancient societies, with the seer or shaman–the hare is also the trickster figure in many stories, who outsmarts Winter and Death…

Overall then, the Hare is a symbol of many things, all involving balance, Life, creative potency, regeneration, fertility, and eternity. This symbolism manifests in associations with Springtime, the Dawn, the Moon and Sacred Fire, the Egg, the Circle and Infinity symbol, Marriage, Androgyny and Hermaphroditism, as well as Madness, Genius and Inspiration (which seem to go hand in hand).”

We still have another month or so to go before the Spring Equinox, but as “time” is speeding up and I’m always several “bunny leaps” ahead, I continue to post things before we get there, to support the space in the now for that energy integration to begin.

After reflecting upon the information, I think you start to get some of the picture for why the hare was the channeled message I received to depict in my painting, Spirit. The rest, we will have to save for another story. For now, I leave you with “Spirit” to receive its message.

Inspirations to Reflect Upon – Words of Wholeness

Life Renewed by Tania Marie

Today I thought I would share a compilation of several quotes chosen to match the energy I feel would be supportive for others at this time. Now and then I will do this, drawing upon a themed message to be supportive for you and us all. Since all information is recycled and we are either remembering it, reiterating it, or reminding ourselves of it, (nothing is truly new and from the collective pool, it’s only shared through different channels in energetically unique ways from each so that it gets out to many who need to hear it in that particular way in that particular moment) then it is good to hear from many sources, the repeated messages we are trying to support ourselves with over and over until it clicks and we “get it.”

Today’s inspirations to reflect upon are themed around authenticity, self-awareness, perfection and wholeness in the here and now, self worth, seeing the bigger picture synergy, shifting perspectives to see what you are missing, change….

May you find value in who you are, what you are capable of creating and this very moment of divinity.

“Awareness is our true self; it’s what we are. So we don’t have to try to develop awareness; we simply need to notice how we block awareness with our thoughts, our fantasies, our opinions, and our judgments. We’re either in awareness, which is our natural state, or we’re doing something else.” Joko Beck

“As you recognize that you already own the wholeness you seek, and no one outside you can give you more than you already are, dysfunctional situations will evaporate like bad dreams exposed to the morning sun.” Alan Cohen

“Enlightenment does not ask you to be perfect; it simply asks you to find perfection right where you stand.” Alan Cohen

“The only thing more important than being good is being real. Authenticity is kinder than resignation without conviction. Truth leads to good faster than good leads to truth. Ultimately truth is good, but you have to live it from the inside out.” Alan Cohen

“When your sense of worth exceeds your conditions, conditions will shift to match your vision.” Alan Cohen

“The greatest gift that you can give yourself is a little bit of your own attention.” Anthony J. D’ Angelo

“Life is like a finger, pointing to the Moon. If you look at the finger… you will miss all the heavenly glory.” from Enter the Dragon, Bruce Lee to his pupil

“Become a possibilitarian. No matter how dark things seem to be or actually are, raise your sights and see the possibilities. Always see them, for they’re always there.” Norman Vincent Peale

“You do not suffer because things are impermanent. You suffer because things are impermanent and you think they are permanent.” Thich Nhat Hanh

“Healing and positive life change comes from having the courage and spiritual conviction to look squarely at life’s impermanence.” Meredith Young Sowers

“Awareness is given to the newborn, but must be sought by the adult.” Mentor, Agartha

“He who knows others is learned; he who knows himself is wise.” Lao Tzu

“People who do not need to please are irresistible because they radiate wholeness, a rare delicacy in a world of hungry hearts.” Alan Cohen

“The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly.” Buddha

“Learning is finding out what you already know. Doing is demonstrating that you know it. Teaching is reminding others that they know it just as well as you do. We are all learners, doers and teachers.” Richard Bach, Illusions

“What a doctor or healer tells you is a reflection of the beliefs and expectations you hold. Change your beliefs and you change the prognosis. Who is the doctor? The mind of the patient.” Alan Cohen

Mists of Avalon – Portal to the Otherworld

Mists of Avalon by Tania Marie

I wanted to share my newest creation that is now available and will be exhibited at Circa 92 for the opening on 2/25 – Mists of Avalon. As always, cameras can’t quite capture the colors and detail as vibrantly, but this definitely gives you the essence feel. As I’ve shared, music is the process of my inspirations when I create and for this painting I was lead to a particular song that I played continuously, which always takes me to this world between worlds. It brings me to a dimensional visualization experience that takes me to the mystical and magickal Faery realm. It’s a very special place I only go to, to connect with my dear ones there (a special place for Nestor and I) and to get in touch with my essence and joyous self in a dance of etheric and otherworldly splendor so that I may bring that back with me into the now world.

Once I got into that flow and dance, the image came easily, but I did go through an interesting process as I was accessing the way to bring the essence of what I feel from the music into the manifestation of this painting. I also had trouble with the title, until synchronously Laura Bruno posted just as I was asking for help with the title, her blog: Becoming Invisible and The Mists of Avalon! I knew instantly that I had received the answer to my quest – Mists of Avalon  – this was exactly what I had captured in my mind and heart’s eye. The doorway to Avalon was what I had been creating, which is imbued with the energy of what I experience there.

As you read a little inspiration from Miranda Sophia Solace of Avalon Beyond below, I will leave you to experience the piece, as it is a portal that leads to this magickal Isle of Avalon in the “other world” as the mists of the vortex energy reveals the emerging Faery realm. – a place dear in my heart.

“This Island is a realm between the worlds, an entrance in to the underworld and has been for centuries and indeed millennia a site of initiation and worship. Featuring strongly in Arthurian Legend, the Isle has captured the imagination of many who have visited there experiencing the peace and rebirth of this ancient mysterious gateway to the Goddess.

In England there is a very spiritual and sacred place called Glastonbury which is believed to be the site of the idyllic and magickal Isle of Avalon. Two holy wells or springs are found in Glastonbury, The Chalice Well or Red spring so called because the water is so filled with iron deposits that everything it touches is covered with rust. The other spring is the White Spring whose water is full of chalk leaving a white residue where it runs. These two closely coexisting yet separate sources are held to be symbolic of the blood and the milk of the mother and the Chalice well in later years was thought to be the last place where the holy grail was seen turning the water red with the blood of the crucified Christ. Of course we know, as seekers, that the chalice is the symbol of the cauldron, the womb of the mother and people of all faiths travel to the Chalice Well Gardens to drink the holy water.

The name Avalon means “The Isle of Apples” with the apple being the symbol of all Beauty in the Celtic tree alphabet or Oghamic system. Glastonbury is dominated by the imposing Tor, a great hill carved thousands of years ago with a labyrinth earthwork processional path. The triple circle symbol on the Avalon sign is called the Vesica Piscis – The vessel of fishes – and is wrought in iron on the well head cover of the Chalice Well. The two inner circles symbolize the physical and non physical planes of existence, the point where they overlap being the vesica, the yonic symbol from which all creation comes forth. By bringing this symbolism and philosophy to the store I have tried to promote an environment of rebirth and refreshment for all our visitors, a peaceful and otherworldly sanctuary akin to the unbelievable feeling which I encountered upon visiting the Beautiful and knowing Isle of Avalon many years ago.”

I actually have a ring that has a miniature symbol of the ancient cover of the Chalice Well of Glastonbury on it. (pictured left) Devotees of Arthurian Legend recognize this powerful symbol – believed to be a bridge to eternal life. The two intersecting circles, as shared, form the vesica piscis: symbol of feminine divinity, and the union of spirit and matter.

Enjoy your journey as you travel to this mystical land and don’t forget to keep the magick in your heart and to integrate into your experience daily!

Love Day 40% Off Special – A Timeless Creation From the Heart

Reflections by Tania Marie

Happy Love Day to everyone! It’s a conscious reminder day that if every day isn’t a love-filled day, to make it so! Love is the most powerful energy in the Universe.

“Love is a force that connects us to every strand of the universe, an unconditional state that characterizes human nature, a form of knowledge that is always there for us if only we can open ourselves to it.”

Emily H. Sell

“The heart is the only constant and sure beam to follow ones cosmic door of understanding.”

Mentor, Agartha

In honor of this love-filled day, I am sharing a love and passion of mine, as well as a love gift special. Some of my most favorite paintings I’ve created have been the animal companion portraits I have supported clients with. I have featured some of them in this blog to share, for those who haven’t seen them on my website.

Animals are beloved friends that I am deeply connected with and it is my joy to bring their essence to life in a very unique way for others, so that the depth of their soul is brought into the light. I make a deep connection with each animal companion that I am honored to capture on canvas in order to embody their uniqueness and divinity. I have been honored to work with some really lovely souls, both animal and human in bringing these creations about.

Animals demonstrate unconditional love in the purest of ways. They also help support us to learn to love ourselves in our authenticity and to connect to our beautiful Earth Mother and nature. Their essence is a mirror of love and they hold healing messages for us to embrace and integrate.

Discoveries by Tania Marie

The first painting pictured here is called “Reflections” and was a wedding gift for a new bride and groom of their beloved animal companion, Rufus, that also reflected their love of the ocean and beach and captured the energy of the life they are embarking upon.

“Discoveries” not only was created for a family’s love of their dear little Lucy, but to capture the essence of Lucy’s spirit and love for discovery of life.

“Everyday Miracles” was a birthday gift to capture the qualities of finding joy and transformative opportunities in life that dear little Madison displays for her human companion.

“Sanctuary” captures Fidel and Potato, two very different personalities in their feline sanctum, as a Christmas gift from brother to sister.  A complimentary match of feline friends comfortable in the presence of “being,” each as they are.

“Nestor” was created of my beloved when she was a baby to capture her magickal innocence and the tenderness of her child at heart radiance she embodies and instills within me.

Sanctuary by Tania Marie

Each piece has not only reflected the soul of the companion, but carries a message through that animal companion to its human companion to help embrace the energy they have to share and the support they impart as inspiration daily. There are always many layers to the paintings I create and these animal portraits are no exception.

If you are interested in a truly timeless piece of art that will touch your heart always, please contact me with your requests. I am offering through this blog, a 40% discount on my animal companion portraits in honor of the love I share for all of creation. This special is good through May 31st, 2012.

Here are a couple of testimonials from happy human companions:

“We love, love, love the painting. The colors used for the sunset are breathtaking and the way they mesh together shows true talent on your part. Rufus looks adorable too! He looks just like the picture Dave sent you when Rufus was a puppy, but with a slightly more mature look to him. Rufus sitting in the water symbolizes to us, our deep sense of spirituality, which we share with each other and with Rufus. Rufus, the beach and the ocean are very meaningful to us and to our relationship. All three are great sources of inspiration, spirituality and positivity for Jim and I. The beach, coupled with Rufus, is like hitting the jackpot for us, and then add the bond that Jim and I share, and the feeling is beyond compare; beyond our wildest dreams. Thank you for artistically tying the beach and Rufus together to create a beautiful painting that Jim and I will cherish forever.”

Sincerely,
Amanda, Jim & Rufus Flanagan

Everyday Miracles by Tania Marie

“Tania, I wanted to write a testimonial on your site about how much I loved the painting you did of Madison. I wake up to it every morning and I can’t tell you how happy it makes me. I received this painting as a surprise birthday gift from my dear friend. I was speechless when I first laid eyes on it. The colors, so bright and majestic, immediately catch the eye and slowly begin to unveil a story; Madison’s story. Tania is articulate and captured Madison’s true beauty and essence in this painting. I am extremely impressed by her work and can officially say I received the gift of a lifetime. I will cherish it forever. Tania is extremely talented and I am so fortunate to have received a piece of her work.
Thank you again for creating the gift of a lifetime,”

Some Cool Tattoo Facts & Statistics – Transforming Lives One Tattoo at a Time

Sacred Tattoo Design by Tania Marie

As our inner and outer worlds continue to rapidly change, more and more people are being drawn into the world of body art, especially with the shift in perspective on how tattoos can actually help support a new reality of experience in your life. Sacred tattoos that are consciously and intuitively chosen in a way that most supports the intentions, needs and empowered healing you desire are increasingly becoming the new paradigm of tattoos that mirrors the now. Spiritual tattoos are one of the fastest growing areas of tattoo subject matter – a recent survey of tattoo artists found that one third of those getting tattoos choose designs that reflected their spiritual or religious beliefs, which is particular strong among first timers.

The feedback I hear from clients and others who embark on a sacred tattoo journey are truly inspiring and beautiful. For those who have chosen this as their path and empowering tool of choice, they have been awed by the powerful ways their lives and those around them are affected simply by being more conscious with their choices and decisions in what they decide to create with their body art, realizing the skin can be a portal opening with many benefits. What is placed on the skin, then penetrates through to the DNA and energetic levels.

This is the basis of my book, Spiritual Skin – Sacred Tattoos: More than Skin Deep, and what drives my passion for helping to support others with custom sacred tattoo designs that they can then have inked by a tattoo artist of their choice, or now, can have created as temporary tattoos as well.

My hands with sacred tattoo designs

I thought it would be fun to share some of the facts and statistics of the tattoo world, which demonstrate how this area of interest continues to grow. The more recent jumps in numbers are something I have myself been keeping an eye on, experiencing within my day-to-day interactions with clients and personal observations since this is my area of passion and interest. I am also seeing how a new genre of temporary tattoos are now even hitting the high fashion, Paris luxury and runway scene at the height of couture, which we know then has the trickle down effect. Having studied fashion marketing and trend forecasting, I know that once something hits the fashion world, it infiltrates not only a market once not reached, but will continue to affect the markets that take off of the precedents set in high fashion.

This is a very interesting thing to see, as this will ultimately take tattoos into a greater realm of overall acceptance, as it penetrates people’s conditioned beliefs about them, but it is my goal to help support a conscious revolution of sacred tattoos that can help benefit more than the aesthetic eye on a collective level. I just think it’s super cool to see things shifting as that is the first step to opening the  gateway to unlimited treasures that will then be revealed upon stepping in.

I thought it might be fun to share some statistics, which come from http://www.vanishingtattoo.com to show the effects tattoos are having on the world in the last decade or so.

TATTOO FACTS & STATISTICS

Tattoo Facts & Statistics has been compiled and updated since 1999 and contains the best available data on the prevalence and occurrence of tattooing and basic information about tattoo culture. This information is shared at http://www.vanishingtattoo.com as a public service and as a resource for those interested in tattoo culture and its study and research.

Emerging from their often unsavory reputation of the recent past, tattoos have gained increasing prominence in the past decade. Life magazine estimated in 1936 that 10 million Americans, or approximately 6% of the population had at least one tattoo. A Harris Poll, done in 2003, nearly triples those numbers and estimates that 16% of Americans now have one or more tattoos. For a complete breakdown of the Harris Poll numbers, see below.

Thirty-six percent of those ages 18 to 25, and 40 percent of those ages 26 to 40, have at least one tattoo, according to a fall 2006 survey by the Pew Research Center.

The National Geographic News stated in April 2000 that 15% of Americans were tattooed (or approximately 40 million people!)

Esquire Magazine estimated in March 2002 that 1 in 8 Americans was tattooed.

According to the American Society of Dermatological Surgery, they stated in 2005, that of all the people they treat with laser and light therapy, only only 6% are getting a tattoo removed.

The Harris Poll done in 2003, estimated that fully 36% of those aged 25-29 had one or more tattoos.A 2006 a study done by the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology found that 24% of Americans between 18 and 50 are tattooed; that’s almost one in four. And the survey showed that about 36% of Americans age 18 to 29 have at least one tattoo!

There are an estimated 20,000+ parlors operating in the United States, according to a U.S. News & World Report article, which said, on the average, an establishment is being added in the country every day. The article ranked tattooing as the sixth fastest growing retail venture of the 1990s, right behind Internet, paging services, bagels, computer and cellular phone service.

Tattoo industry spawns popular outgrowth:*Search Engine Lycos, ranks the Top 50 search terms every week. “Tattoos” was the third most popular search term in 2002, the fourth most popular search term in 2001, seventh most popular search term for the year 2000, and the eleventh most popular search term in 1999. “Tattoo and tattoos” is one of only seven search terms to never fall out of the Top 50 Search terms in the 199 weeks since Lycos has been keeping track. The other six are Dragon Ball, Pamela Anderson, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Las Vegas and the WWE/WWF.

*In July of 2002 “tattoos” reached its highest ranking ever, coming in as the number two most requested search term on the internet. “Tattoos” was requested more often than Britney Spears, marijuana or Kazaa, illustrating that skin ink is more popular than “sex, drugs and rock n’ roll!”

Lycos dropped the term “tattoos” from it’s Poll because the term was so popular. According to Lycos, tattoos rarely drops out of the top ten search terms requested on the Internet and Lycos dropped the term because they wanted to make room for other searches.

Search engine Ask.com found these stats about tattoo searches:

  • LA fashion week reminds us once again that trends come and go. But, while the Devil may wear Prada, Search Engine Ask.com reveals that tattoos have been stealing the scene as the #1 searched beauty term since 2003. No longer taboo, the popularity of tattoos prove that skin is always in.
  • Virtually every language is searched for in tattoo designs: from Aztec sayings to Russian phrases, but Japanese and Chinese characters/symbols are among the most frequently searched.
  • Location, location, location: Backs rank the highest in searches (lower, upper and all over). But, not far behind: necks, arms, wrists and ankles. Unmentionables also rank high.
  • Angelina’s number, choice and types of tattoos rank the highest in the celebrity category. Ask.com searchers are also intrigued by other celebs. Most notably, Nicole Richie, Alyssa Milano and heavy metal rockers Metallica.
  • As for who searches for tattoos more: given the top five ranked designs, which are tribal, cross, stars, butterflies and fairies, we’d say women.

A Third of Americans With Tattoos Say They
Make Them Feel More Sexy
National survey of adults shows that Democrats are more likely to have tattoos and regret for getting them is highest among Republicans.

ROCHESTER, NY, Oct 8, 2003 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — A recent Harris Poll finds that 16% of all adults have at least one tattoo. The highest incidence of tattoos was found among the gay, lesbian and bisexual population (31%) and among Americans ages 25 to 29 years (36%) and 30 to 39 years (28%). Regionally, people living in the West (20%) are more likely to have tattoos.

Democrats are more likely to have tattoos (18%) than Republicans (14%) and Independents (12%) while nearly equal percentages of males (16%) and females (15%) have tattoos.

How do tattoos make people feel?

Among Americans with tattoos, 34% said having a tattoo has made them feel sexier. Interestingly, more tattooed females (42%) feel this way than males (25%). Over one-third (36%) of those with a tattoo, however, say having it makes them feel more rebellious, up from 29 percent who felt this way in 2003, and three in ten (31%) say the tattoo makes then feel sexy, while others said a tattoo makes them feel more attractive (26%). One in five (19%) each say having the tattoo makes them feel attractive and strong.

Not many regrets:

Do people regret getting tattoos?
A majority of Americans with tattoos (84%) do not regret getting them, while 17% do feel regret. The survey found that regret for getting a tattoo was highest among tattooed Republicans (24%) and among those living in the South (21%). And, the reason cited most often for feeling regret about getting tattoos was “because of the person’s name in the tattoo” (16%). As to why they have this regret, one in five (20%) say it‟s because they were too young when they got the tattoo while 19 percent say it‟s because it is permanent and they are marked for life. Others say they regret the tattoo because they don‟t like it (18%).

Some Silliness and Nature Keeps the Doctor Away

Barbara's Lake - the largest of only 3 natural lakes in the OC at the James Dilley Preserve

Today, Dave and I made time for our hiking, which we enjoy doing (sometimes biking or beach strolls), even amidst a very busy schedule we each have. The photos throughout are from the lovely surroundings we were able to enjoy on our afternoon jaunt.

Not only is sunshine important to get the needed vitamins and joyous energy (of which I became recently aware I needed to up my dosages of – vitamin D – due to my not getting out on my travel vacations I used to do more often especially in winter and the amount of sun I used to be exposed to since I’ve  been very focused on creating). But I always see and feel the difference when I DO make the conscious effort to balance out my days, as I am more invigorated and the work I channel goes faster and is infused with a refreshing perspective I gain from my inspired and nurtured time in nature balance.

Some Benefits of Vitamin D-3 which you can get from a good healthy dose of at least 20 minutes a day of direct exposure to sun or through supplementation:

  • Affects Muscle Strength and Coordination
  • Maintains Tissue Function
  • Affects Energy Production
  • Affects Immune Function
  • Affects Gene Expression Vitamin D-3 affects Cell Development, Cell Growth and Cell Function
  • Plays a role in Cell to Cell Communication
  • Has been shown to be effective in Depression Therapies
  • Has been shown to be effective in Autoimmune Disorder (MS) Therapies
  • Has been shown to be effective in Therapeutic Cancer Programs
  • Has been shown to be effective in Cancer Prevention Programs
  • Has been shown to be effective in Lung Health Therapies
  • Influences Nervous System Functions, central and peripheral, through its modulation of Neuronal Calcium
  • Is involved in the creation of neurotransmitters. Vitamin D-3 possesses
anti-inflammatory properties and has been shown to be effective in Rheumatoid Arthritis therapies.

The same goes for always having silliness in my life, which is a need for me. It truly makes life lighter when you can find the humor in everything and laugh at yourself. I can entertain myself all the time and grew up in a family that enjoys laughing and playing like kids, which is a blessing.

It’s extremely important to find balance in our moment to moment lives in order to experience the vitality of life. It is a time when we need to be ever more consciously present in each moment with how we are reacting to things and how we can shift perspective to a place of empowered responding.

I am one who is guilty of being an extremist in life, which in some ways went with the territory of being a healing artist – choosing to experience the full spectrum of life in order to bring the full vulnerable depth to the work I channel in every realm and to  be able to truly understand with love and compassion what the highs and lows feel like so that I am able to relate energetically and bring that into my creations. In this way, also learning every day to master my personal processes so that I am able to know how to maneuver in any circumstance because of allowing myself the experience. Not sheltering myself from the storm, but walking in the middle of it and knowing that I can emerge renewed.

It isn’t always the easiest thing, but with practice, the process quickens. I know many do not understand parts of my life, but when I step outside of the ego place of my raw reactions, I am able to see the perfection of what I have chosen to create and all of the ingredients have been creating a master piece that will make sense one day, even if at the moment I can sometimes appear as the Fool.

And the Fool I do enjoy being. In my silliness and giggling, fun and play…I remain always the innocent faery child who sees the world through a rainbow kaleidoscope and enjoys seeing life from a light perspective and in communion with the animals, elements and the magickal world. It is this part that always keeps me sane, as when things get rough, it can be easy to get caught up in the crazy downward spiral, but I always know my inner child is my strength and she never stops believing despite anything anyone ever tries to strip away from her or cut her down with or tries to flush out of her.

It is no longer a luxury to forego the need to integrate balance and to find the calm amidst the chaos, as life speeds up and more things come into our experiences. Finding time to be with nature, to let yourself have fun, giggle, laugh, play, dance, run, roll in the grass, feel the sand in your toes, the wind in your hair, sit in silence amidst the awe-inspiring grandeur of our beautiful Earth, and even to stand out or on your own in the middle of a crowd, is all so vital. Letting go and letting yourself be without care of what others may think. Letting your uniqueness shine through in the creative way it wants to express itself and above all, having the integrity to be authentic in every situation and no matter what anyone else thinks of the choices you make. When you learn to unconditionally love yourself that will empower you to spread the same to everyone, everything, every being and every experience you encounter. It all starts within. Fire and Spirit – Harnessing Your Firey Energy to Integrate Wholeness

Fire by Tania Marie

Today’s post is in energetic support of, and addition to, my dear Laura Bruno’s blog post for the day. It’s always so cool to see how aligned we are with each other collectively, as the energy of what she shares herself and through her repost of Lee Harris’ forecast, coincides with energies I have been focused on with my work and what I have felt drawn to bring to the forefront for others.

Here is Laura Bruno’s blog post: February 2012 Energy Forecast and a Rune for You

This fire, solar plexus energy, anger explosions and energy of “breaking through” to the other side to get beyond polarity, as Laura puts it, have been on my intuitive mind as well.

I’ve been working a lot with the solar plexus and utilizing citrine in my own personal work, as well as have done some of the techniques Lee speaks about, as in creating a vision board with many words and phrase intents I am choosing to create, and supporting myself with Reiki, with my hands over my heart and solar plexus and/or placing my citring there as well.

Another tool I have also been using to support the energies both Laura and Lee speak of has been my In Lak’ech paintings. These paintings, while timely when created for collective support from behind the scenes, are now coming to the forefront in a bigger and revealing way. I have come to see why they were so important to complete before 2012, as they are coming back around now with their messages that were ahead of their time. It’s as if they were needing to be anchored so that they could do the work with the collective at the timely unfolding – now – when they would be needed.

Spirit by Tania Marie

I’ve recently been focusing on specific pieces in the five series, based on my particular intuitive needs and have seen how whenever I put one up as my profile photo on Facebook, or focus on it at home, that I directly and instantly start moving through the energies it’s associated with.

Interestingly, the two paintings from the series I chose to have as part of the pieces in my 6 week art exhibit are Fire and Spirit, both pictured in this blog. I hung them up on 2/5 in Circa ’92 and they will be there for the 2/25 opening reception. Their energy is directly aligned with what Lee speaks of this month being about.

There are way too many layers to the symbolism of these paintings for me to share and for the most part I have stayed away from sharing them so that people can just “experience” the healing effects without direction from me. Aside from each containing potent Mayan Sacred Glyphs, ancient civilization symbolism through which the ancients speak through, and each being an activation portal, that’s usually been the extend of my sharing. However, I will share that one of the purposes each painting has is associated with transcending polarity and integrating the male and female energies. I intuitively chose different astrological signs (based on their placement on the cycle spectrum of evolution) from each of the elements that to me most represented the heightened potential for demonstrating the blending of the “new male” and “new female” energies that we are now integrating, at their highest potentials.

I see us at a place where the “old male” is now becoming an empowered male, by integrating the “new female” into their experience on all levels and vice versa, the “old female” is now becoming an empowered female by integrating the “new male” into their experience on all levels. A way of moving into the embodiment of integrated wholeness at its highest potential.

This was done through very carefully channeled images that portrayed what that would look/feel like when that missing piece was embraced. It is much more intricate than this, but to write it all out would be a book in itself, and perhaps it might be one day.

Suffice to say, Fire, is one such painting that would be very helpful right now in embracing this firey energy we are moving through and how to channel and integrate it.

Dagaz or Dea Rune from Spirit painting by Tania Marie

Then there is the last of the five in the series, Spirit. This one takes us beyond polarities and is full integration with transmutation inwardly and outwardly (and then some) 🙂 Interestingly, you’ll find the Dagaz or Dea Rune Laura speaks of anchoring the white hare/rabbit’s feet (possessing also other-wordly humanesque essence). I included a close up (a bit fuzzy) to unveil it for you. Each of these paintings in the series have tons of symbolism embedded both visually and energetically. Spirit holds some powerful energy and I’ll likely share more of the symbolism of why the hare/rabbit was chosen intuitively for the representation of this “beyond polarity” energy in an upcoming blog.

For now, I’d like to offer these paintings as another tool you can meditate with or have in your personal space to shift energy, alongside the tools both Laura and Lee shared, as they can be very empowering with the encoded healing symbolism they hold.

These paintings are available on my website here: http://taniamarie.com/gallery1.htm However, for the 6 weeks of the art opening, until 3/18, this series and the other paintings in the exhibit are all being offered at huge discounts to make these healing tools affordable to everyone.

If you’d like a listing of the new prices, contact me, as the website does not reflect the specials. The special prices are between 40-75% off the web prices for all sizes, both originals and prints.

Exciting Announcement – New Crystal Creations and a New Partnership

Tania and Allison

Today I just wanted to share my excitement and elation over the new crystal healing pendants that are in birthing process as I speak. New Joyful Earth Crystals are on their way and I’m so grateful for the synchronous perfection of the partnership that has evolved through my patience. I have been holding on to my crystal friends and design ideas for a good 3 years + and these crystals have patiently awaited the right timing and collaboration. We have gone through quite the journey and process together. But alas! The timing has come and I’ve already seen the amazing results of my determined patience and wow! I know people will be amazed at not only the energy of these new crystal pendants, but the spectacular, etheric grace and organic beauty that is a cosmic home run!

As I shared before, Allison Jacobson, craftsman and designer extraordinaire, as well as Reiki Master Teacher (whom I was so honored to teach and attune) has joined me in bringing these new lovely crystalline beings into creation. Couldn’t have dreamed of a better match made in heaven. We can’t wait to debut the first of the new collection at the upcoming Circa 92 Runway and Tania Marie Art Show: http://www.facebook.com/events/349083525115934/

This will be a sneak peek at some of the new pieces with tons more on the way. There will be two lines, which include Joyful Earth Crystals and a new fun line Allison will be developing. More on that soon. We have teamed our gifts for some supercharged pieces. And I’m also super excited about a brand new collection that I have been intending for a few years as well, to include some very spectacular and unique head pieces (the first piece will be one that I’ve been waiting to create for myself and I will model it off when it is complete).

But like with anything, all good things come with patience, as we aren’t wanting to skimp on quality or energetic timing and making sure that each piece receives its love, refinement, programmed energy activation, and intuitive and thoughtful devotion.

It’s quite the process and I have had to learn to never become attached to the crystals that have specifically come to me for the intention to go to others. Allison and I were just discussing this the other day, as it can be challenging when you put your love and care into something like we are, to not want to keep them, as these crystals emerge dazzling. But it’s something I have come to understand in my service work with them that they call to me for different reasons and I had to become good at discerning which that was – to move through me so that I can get them to their proper keeper, or to stay with me.

Allison and Tania as Alice and the White Rabbit - Magick from the Rabbit Hole!

So I keep it in mind always and experience it is a joy to create and pass these on to their new friends, as the crystals recognize those that are the channels to move through. They also know who are the ones that can help to reactivate them. It’s like we are the gate keepers or crystal baby sitters, if you will, for them to go to their guardians – the conduits for them to move through and to become empowered once again once we find them. We give them love and programming and then they are activated into their full empowered loveliness once again.

It’s like the crystals go to the crystal spa crystal when they are with us, where we revitalize them to go back into the world to do their work!

I LOVE this process and fully enjoy and embrace the journey with our crystal friends and am grateful to now walk the path with Allison.

Stay tuned! New crystal pendants on the way very shortly. Will post some likely this week!

As always, custom requests are welcome. You can contact us through the site: http://taniamarie.com/crystaljewelry.htm

We will be announcing a lot of new changes to my company Emerald Bridge shortly, including new services and fun stuff!

Custom Temporary Sacred Tattoo Designs Available ~ Now Anyone Can Experience The Transformational Energy of Sacred Body Art

Sacred Tattoo Design Created by Tania Marie

After several synchronous nudges and an energetic 2 by 4 from the Universe, I am now making sacred tattoo designs available to anyone who desires their own “Spiritual Skin,” but may not want the permanency of going under the needle, may not like needles, or simply want the ability and versatility to remove their tattoo based on life style or career needs. In this way you can still invoke the energy you desire into your life for the intents you desire on all levels, yet don’t have to make that life long commitment or decision if feeling unsure. It’s a way to also see if getting a permanent tattoo is the path for you, by being able to do a trial run over however long of an extended time you need, while also trying it in versatile places to see where you feel the energy would most be appropriate for you.

While I do help in intuiting these sorts of things, like placement, etc., I do know that unless a person is completely ready for and clear about something, there are those that like the ability to dip their foot in and see how the water feels. I want to make this opportunity available to anyone whether a tattoo aficionado or not, as my intent is to support conscious awareness and integrative healing and empowerment for everyone. A temporary tattoo can be a discreet way, as well as perhaps a less intimidating way for anyone to have their own personal, custom-created, sacred design that can help support transformation in your life, while simultaneously adding a bit of whimsical magick and unique style that embodies a spiritual process of integrated experience for you.

If you’ve admired designs such as the one pictured above and want to experience the power of an intentfully created and energetically infused symbolic and sacred design channeled just for you, then this may be just what you are looking for.

If you haven’t read my article yet, “Sacred Tattoos – Personal Portals to Genetic Rewiring” published on Tattoo Journal here it is again: http://journal.tattoo.com/article/sacred-tattoos-%E2%80%93-personal-portals-genetic-rewiring

This article helps to unveil the potency behind how symbolism can alter your DNA and consequently your life experiences. As the article shares: “People are learning how the vehicle of symbolic, intentful tattoos can alter a person’s total life experience – a concept that Dr. Masaru Emoto’s findings in “The Hidden Messages in Water” unveiled, but is now being expounded upon with unique perspective of the body as a portal.”

Each temporary tattoo will be unique, as they are custom made for you. The design process remains the same. Read about it here: http://spiritualskin.com/whatisatattoodesignconsultation.html but upon completion of the design, a custom temporary tattoo in bulk quantity and size to your desire will be sent to you rather than you visiting your tattoo artist to get the image inked. And if you’d like more, they can be re-ordered any time, as well as new designs can be created to have options and energetic choices to fit your needs.

The purpose of this is to make this healing body art form available to everyone.

If you are interested in a custom temporary tattoo design, please contact me with inquiries and requests at tania@spiritualskin.com or you may contact me here on my blog. More information will be provided on my website once I get the information up and posted. For now, just shoot me an email with your questions.

Emerald Bridge Logo - Activating the Heart Chakra

New Emerald Bridge logo temporary tattoos will be available in a couple of weeks, debuting at the Circa 92 Runway and Tania Marie Art Show. This logo was created to reflect and embody the divine and powerful essence of the Heart Chakra (or Emerald Bridge as I call it) and its integrative, healing synergy. The logo embodies the essence of this energy, as well as is a visual activation and meditative tool to encourage taking courageous steps in following your heart’s joy and to shift into new realities of experience. This to include a new template comprised of: trusting what you choose, living as you feel, co-creative and shared community of loving harmony void of isolation, being in your highest heart always, which allows integration of lower and higher parts of the body to work optimally, and to be courageously vulnerable so that you may boldly share your authenticity with the collective.

Specific sacred design sets of temporary tattoos are in creation and will be available shortly as well, designed with specific energy intents that you may choose from to draw that particular energy into your life experience. These will not be custom to you, but will be collectively channeled and which ever you feel drawn to will hold an energetic footprint that matches your vibrational needs.

If you have been drawn to the energy of one of my paintings, these can also be created into a temporary tattoo for you as well, since each painting also holds an energetic coding of healing intents and energy. I have had requests for the In Lak’ech series to be created into tattoos, so now this also is a temporary tattoo design option.

The Alchemy of Living – Birthing Your Own Golden Egg

Robin Wood's Magician Tarot Card

Alchemy is a word that keeps popping up recently for me and I’m seeing that this truly is a time for some magickal and creative alchemy. I always see a pattern with recurring themes that cycle around. This is definitely a time for empowered living and becoming masterful at transmutation, more than ever, and that means “taking back our power” along with responsible compassion, wise discernment, aligning/surrounding yourself with the highest-vibe, resonating elements in and around you, and activating a little creative alchemy by learning how to shift and integrate things so we can turn what we have into “gold.”

Alchemists searched to discover magical substances to turn lead into gold, cure disease, and extend life. We all need to believe in a bit of magick, yet the elixir of life is simply believing in you.

Think of alchemy as a magical process to change seemingly “nothing” things or seemingly unrelated and not as favorable things into something amazing.

You become the masterful magician (like the Magician Tarot Card) of the elements and interweave them to create magick!

The definition of alchemy is:

1) a medieval chemical science and speculative philsophy aiming to achieve the transmutation of the base metals into gold, the discovery of a universal cure for disease, and the discovery of a means of indefinitely prolonging life

2) a power of process of transforming something common into something special

3) an inexplicable or mysterious transmuting

Basically, a process by which paradoxical results are achieved or incompatible elements combined with no obvious rational explanation – and the end result is your intents achieved in manifesting your personal “golden egg.”

I have been working with transmuting the elements in my own life a lot lately, which includes taking unfavorable things and experiences in my life and shifting perspectives for instant magickal relief, balancing and empowerment, utilizing all of the elements and ingredients/gifts I have available to create a refined recipe for my desired manifestations and even creating a very magickal vision board I kept getting nudges to materialize, as well as crystal elixirs. I am loving my super rockin’ vision board, which I did a magickal activation ceremony with just last night.
I created a double sided board about 22″ x 28″, with one side that was white and the other black for that yin, yang balance and integration. I made it as a mirror reflection of internal essence yin and external essence yang, but with integration on both sides and then as a whole in its entirety – this actually happened intuitively while in process and wasn’t something I had set out to do, but like with everything when we just flow, things all magickally fall into place. It was quite the process, but it unfolded perfectly and everything I cut out and put on, was exactly the right amount to fill the board without me even having to leave anything out or try to figure out what I needed. I just let myself be guided to the images and words that were pin-pointedly focused on the essence and specifics I want to create in my life. I can now work with the entire board, or focus on one side of the mirror that reflects my inner authenticity. The way it is, is that both partner in supportive energy with the other while simultaneously one helps achieve the other. A little vision board alchemy fun indeed!
It’s definitely a great way to put energy focus towards what you want to create while working with the essence of your intents, which helps draw in the mirroring energy to you. I always add this favorite line of mine to everything (which is on my board), “This or something better now manifests for me in totally satisfying and harmonious ways for the highest good of all concerned,” as we don’t want to limit ourselves to what we may not be able to see as potential and grander things than we are asking for and we always want to be aligned with the collective so that what we create is of value and benefit for everyone.
Along with empowering myself in this way, taking control of my life and being an active partner in the creation of what I want to manifest, I have been working on cutting chords, creating energetic boundaries, using more and more wise discernment, shifting my processes to a more balanced, flowing and easy perspective, truly listening to, and following, my gut instincts and intuition – that first voice/feeling I get – and taking responsibly compassionate steps towards grace (that sometimes involve the kind of  powerful, truth seeking love that Kali has in circumstances where needed) while not enabling others in unhealthy ways, as I take back my own power and act from a big picture conscious way. I always loved this article by Laura Bruno about Kali’s ability to bring us to our authenticity: Lessons from Kali
There are many things we can do to create what we want. The question is, how important is it to you to really have your intents? Knowing things, understanding things and saying it are great first steps, but if you really want something or want something to change, at any moment you have the ability to shift a perspective or put to practice what you preach – now is the time for activating the alchemy of your life. I sure am heeding these nudges in my own life, as I recently keep getting the same experiences a-knocking at my door. Rather than continue to fight them or give my power away to something, I can stand still in my golden silence, magician neutrality and shift perspectives that instantly alter the experience.

Magician Tarot Card Rendition by artist Patipat Asavasena - love this

I’ll leave you with another inspiring story from Laura Bruno‘s recent post “How Much Do You Want What You Want?”  recently posted on her blog that included this little excerpt she shared from page 119 of Dr. Joseph Murphy’s book, “The Power of Your Subconscious Mind”:

How Much Do You Want What You Want?”

“A young man asked Socrates how he could get wisdom. Socrates replied, ‘Come with me.’ He took the lad to a river, pushed the boy’s head under the water, held it there until the boy was gasping for air, then relaxed and released his head. When the boy regained his composure, he asked him, ‘What did you desire most when you were under water?’

“‘I wanted air,’ said the boy.

“Socrates said to him, ‘When you want wisdom as much as you wanted air when you were immersed in the water, you will receive it.’

“Likewise, when you really have an intense desire to overcome any block in your life, and you come to a clear-cut decision that there is a way out, and that is the course you wish to follow, then victory and triumph are assured.

“If you really want peace of mind and inner calm, you will get it. Regardless of how unjustly you have been treated, or how unfair the boss has been, or what a mean scoundrel someone has proved to be, all this makes no difference to you when you awaken to your mental and spiritual powers. You know what you want, and you will definitely refuse to let the thieves (thoughts) of hatred, anger, hostility, and ill will rob you of peace, harmony, health, and happiness. You cease to become upset by people, conditions, news, and events by identifying your thoughts immediately with your aim in life. You aim is peace, health, inspiration, harmony, and abundance. Feel a river of peace flowing through you now. Your thought is the immaterial and invisible power, and you choose to let it bless, inspire, and give you peace.”
