Life is a Sacred Art that Turns Awareness into Rhythmic Being – Gabrielle Roth
Synchronicity led me to this post I did back in July and when I re-read it, I could feel why it felt important to share again. If you missed this post, I hope you will find it inspiring. And if you saw it before, I hope it will feel like the perfect refresher to what you needed to hear. Gabrielle Roth is (since even though she has left the physical, her spirit still lives) a vivacious and passionate soul and her energy, spirit, and expressions are inspirational. When I read her words they feel to be speaking from my own heart as an artist of life. May they speak to you, in the way your soul would like to “dance” with them. ❤
After posting this I realized the original post was on July 11th and today is January 11th – exactly six months ago, but very cool synchronicity of the 11th day.
Perhaps my being in my own creative cosmic dance drew in this inspiration, but however it came through, I was guided today to share some words from Gabrielle Roth, an incredibly influential teacher of meditative dance, creator of the 5Rhythms movement practice, and a shaman in her own right.
Gabrielle felt that physical movement was an integral key to unlocking spirit and integrating spirit with your sacred temple body. She was dedicated, heart and soul, to exploring ways to engage spirit and creativity through movement, but ultimately to “create life as a work of art” (something we both share) and to access unity of experience as a cosmic dance:
“Mine is the art of inspiring people to turn themselves inside out, transform their suffering into art, their art into awareness, and their awareness into action.” ~ Gabrielle Roth
Perhaps her words shared below may provide impetus to ignite your spirit…
