Listen To Your Body & Love Yourself Into Balance

Today would have been my beloved Nestor’s 12th birthday on the physical plane, yet I still honor her each year on this day, as there was so much she brought to my life, taught me, and continues to support me with from the beyond.

Some of the things she taught me about are the importance of listening deeply within and acting upon/supporting what I hear, how important balance is in life, and the need to nourish and nurture myself body and soul in order to optimally function and be of most benefit in service to others through that nurturing of self.

Her little body was hardly able to hold the vastness of her huge energy and powerful soul. She constantly was blowing herself out physically because of the energetic work she was always doing and supporting others with (on Earth and beyond), and then had crashes where she needed to rebalance, which I supported her with.

I used to be the same way. Going, going, going, giving, energetically flowing things out, constantly expanding and shifting my energy, and taking on tons more than humanly possible, along with not having boundaries, nor being able to stand up for myself until pushed over the edge.

It also eventually would create huge crashes and severe physical manifestations that would then force me to regroup and recharge. I could go on for months and years sometimes doing this, before a major crash would take place.

But just because we are enduring and strong, capable of going on for long periods of time the way we are doing things before crashing, doesn’t mean this is healthy and productive. Not to mention, it also isn’t the natural flow of energy. Your body warns you and provides you with messages along the way to help you to avoid greater severity.

Reflecting on this and how much my life has changed and now IS more flowing, harmonious, and balanced where I don’t experience the crashes and I understand my processes so that I can shift them immediately, brought me to share this with others today prompted by Nestor.

I’ve been to the places of self-sacrifice, even victimhood and martyrdom, and I know the unhealthiness it creates.

I know the importance of listening within and supporting what is in the highest good for all involved through responsible accountability and keeping things balanced and nourished from the inside out.

So please listen to your body…listen to the messages it whispers, as well as cries out loudly.

Your body has an intelligence that works in partnership with your soul.

Our duty is to be the loving nurturers of ourselves.

If your body tells you it is tired…then rest.

If it aches and pinches you with pains…take heed of what is going on in your life currently or what you have been avoiding or repressing.

If your body is not feeling vibrant and healthy…nourish it and your soul with the enriching things it needs physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

You are a miraculous temple of divine intelligence.

Honor that knowingness with love of self in all the ways needed.

It’s also important to create your own personal sanctuary either as a literal place you go to, one that you create, or one you travel to inwardly by imagining a nurturing, safe, and enchanted environment that inspires and supports you.

Know that that special place of serenity and empowerment lies within you always and is available to you when ever you need it.

In the center of your beingness is a place of power that can shift your experience instantly.

Make an effort to journey there and bask in the love and beauty that resides within and you will discover a way to bring balance and harmony back to your life, despite what is going on around you.

Self-nurturing is vital and not a luxury.

May you experience and embody harmony within and without.

  1. Peace and blessings to Nestor. This post is a very nice tribute to her and to the importance of being attentive to oneself.

  2. Very timely, love. It’s amazing, too… Sometimes one goes for years thinking they’ve healed from an old pattern (like crash and burn, blurred boundaries, etc) only to find it re-emerge in a completely different guise or area of life. It’s a very “Neptunian” or Piscean thing to have boundaries dissolve or play hide and seek. I had a Neptune transit not long ago and I’m still combing through the insights. Much love, Tania.

    • that’s true…that can happen quite a bit where we are certain we’re passed something and then it reappears. it always comes back in the best form that will get our attention, and will increase until it does.

tons of love to you too! ❤

  3. the beauty of Nestor speaks to me from beyond: so much LOVE, Strength and Presence what a gift to have had that presence in your life and feel its awesome guidance!
I so relate to what you expressed, most of it! alas, it is not easy to finally get it that indeed our body does speak to us and it behooves us to listen and follow its gentle guidance…(cuz, if we do not, the gentleness can get quite rough as we then deal with afteaffects)
Indeed, to be there fully present and do our gifted work in the physical realm, the love, healing and listening must begin right inside of us! and so it is! blessings ❤

    • thank you so much beth for sharing this. nestor was and continues to be an eternal gift. she taught me also the true meaning of unconditional love and helped me to align with my responsibilities as a soul through the love i had for her – where i got off track and didn’t do for responsibility, i would do for love.

so true what you share. it CAN be a challenge, but we all have our thresholds that are set up to support us. love and blessings. ❤

  8. This is excellent…..and yes so many of us endure so much and can crash because we are on auto pilot….in fact after shoveling the snow….I did just that today…I took off from work because I felt dehydrated and depleted…it is so cold on the east coast presently and a long difficult winter….Sure will appreciate the blessings of Spring 😉 thank you for sharing

    • you’re so right and i’m glad you also recognize this in your own life. it’s so vital that we pay attention to our bodies and our needs to keep ourselves strong and nourished. i can only imagine how cold it is there for you! warm thoughts, love and hugs your way!
