This sacred tattoo design was such an incredibly beautiful experience to channel, which isn’t a surprise since my client IS such a beautiful soul.
We had some awesome connections along the way that remind me again at how the things we do are so much more than meets the eye. I’m so grateful that through the work I do that it aligns me with wonderful people that in many cases become good friends, and in most cases are all special soul connections.
This piece took some twists and turns in the creation process, as I felt into the energy that was being presented. In the end, with patience and not forcing the process, I was able to see through layers to the core essence.
The design blends this client’s strong soul affinity with Asian and Native American spirituality in a beautifully synergized way. What we get is a strongly empowered Sacred and Divine Feminine essence that presents each thread of her soul tapestry.
She is a very strong soul and this has been misinterpreted at times, so with this design we are portraying her true nature and looking into her soul through the eyes of the Hawk and the artistry of her soul signature.
Hints of feathers share her Native American roots and shaman quality, which is powerful unto themselves, yet have a graceful fluidity, lightness, and movement to them.
I didn’t want there to be and blatant symbolism, but rather a beautiful and blended harmony blossoming forth in this sensual dance that shares a look into the mystery of who she is. Powerful beauty, mystique, abundant love and compassion from the depth of her heart, and strength of character, visions of a healer, transformation, and fertile blossoming all wrapped up together with amazing depth and spiritual grace.
It’s quite a larger piece that will span the upper portion of her back from bottom of lower neck down through heart chakra.
Both she and I have shared being mesmerized by the image and unable to look away. LOL! I’m just really in love with it and its energy, and so, so happy that she is too.
Below I’ll add the symbolism of each of the elements that are woven in this creation. Since they are collective symbols this information is not different for any one particular person, but how they are integrated and what they are blended with, as well as how they are drawn….all make them unique to the individual and speak a different story.
So here are the elements of the design with their collective symbolism:
Lotus Mandala – the Lotus itself is a powerful and ancient image symbolizes harmony, spiritual illumination and unlimited potential. The lotus is a type of water lily which rises from the sludge of muddy waters and opens into a beautiful flower. It is often used as a mandala, or circular symbol, but any way you use the Lotus in a spiritual practice, it will provide a resonant field that reinforces the concept of resurrection. Human mistakes and challenges are the fertilizer for brilliance and awakened creation as the Lotus shows us. Born in the murkiest of ponds, Lotus still emerges pure. Use the Lotus as a reminder that “this, too, shall pass.” Be assured that all fertilizer nurtures a beautiful new life. In the greater world, Lotus is a peaceful cosmic beacon for forgiveness, gratitude and compassion to prevail where the sludge of conflict has resided. Using this symbol on water invites a balance between humility and pride.
Mandalas – are geometric figures representing the Universe and this personal empowerment Mandala is a reflection of the very “fabric” you flourishing into all that you are. This Mandala will help to focus her energy in a way that is connected authentically to the heart of who she is and empowers her heart chakra.
Tibetan Conch – wanting to bring in her Asian influences, but staying away from the Buddha images and such, this was one of the elements that spoke out from what she had shared being connected to. One of the Eight Auspicious Symbols of Buddhism, the symbol is the Right-coiled White Conch symbolizes “the spread of the teachings of the Dharma (principle of cosmic order/natural universal laws and those in harmony with it and the teachings of Buddha) and an awakening from the slumber of ignorance.” When it spirals to the right this is rare and considered especially sacred, believed to echo the celestial motion of the sun, moon, planets, and stars, as well as the hair whorls on Buddha’s head, his fine body hairs, the conch-like swirl of his navel, symbolizes his throat and melodious voice, and long curl at his third eye. It also “appears as an auspicious mark on the soles, palms, limbs, breast, or forehead of a divinely endowed being”. The right coiling white conch also symbolizes the deep and far-reaching melodious sound of the truth of Dharma teachings that spreads in all directions and when heard, not only awakens, but urges accomplishing your own and others’ welfare. In Tibetan Buddhism, today, it is a musical instrument that calls together spiritual assemblies and contains holy water. In this way it speaks to your “voice” and this channel for creative self-expression of your personal song vibration and frequency to others. White represents the Brahmin caste (priests). The conch is also an “emblem of power, authority and sovereignty whose blast is believed to banish evil spirits, avert natural disasters, and scare away poisonous creatures”.
Hawk – symbolizes Awareness, Perspective, Insight, Cunning, Observant, Truth, Visionary Power, Guardianship, Leader, Strength, Initiative, Decisiveness, Creativity, Messenger, Caution, Strategy, Maneuvering, Leadership. The spirit of hawk brings with it many different meanings that we can constantly look at in our lives at different times, to assist us into our wholeness like that of taking account of things in your life and observing all the details while seeing the meaning in ordinary experiences. Also, freeing ourselves from limiting thoughts and beliefs that stop us from soaring in our lives with greater and expanded perspective. Seeing the bigger picture, being insightful, visionary, asserting yourself without doubt, trusting your instincts, and having confidence in what comes to you. Taking initiative and ceasing to procrastinate are things assisted by Hawk where we know when to strike with precision and speed without letting opportunities pass us by. Seize the moment! But also using caution in the way we maneuver and knowing when NOT to take action because we listen to our instincts and support them for the highest good.
Feathers – Feathers represent flight, freedom, ascension, lightness, grace, ability to flow with winds of change, truth, speed, communication with Spirit, celestial wisdom, the power of the element air, and are very connected to Shamanism, someone who is a Shaman and works with elements and Earth in ancient ways, as well as is connected to Native American Indians and the power of Bird Spirit. In the design I created a couple of feathers, as well as added a hint of wing to the left. They are a reminder to release the heaviness from our hearts, to be gentle with ourselves, nurture our innocent inner child, dance with grace through change, embrace vulnerability, and be willing to flow without attachments that hinder our expansiveness. They also represent the ancient ways, being in tune with Mother Earth, and sacred ritual.
Spiral – I created a spiral effect to the left, where the end of the feather turns into the center of this spiral…almost like a vortex or galaxy. Spirals symbolize creation, movement, fluidity, surrender/releasing, holistic growth, and awareness of the one within the context of the whole. It reveals the cyclical nature of life, the consciousness of nature from core center expanding outward, and the relationship between unity and multiplicity. It is the limitless spirals that move both “inward towards the Source of creation and eternally outward with Source’s continual self-creation.” In this way, the spiral reflects the contiguous journey home to who you really are and the journey to be one with Source.
Cherry Blossoms – The breathtaking but brief beauty of the cherry blossoms, according to Buddhist tradition, symbolizes the transient nature of life. They also reflect, in traditional Japanese values, that of purity and simplicity. The cherry blossom is also tied with the samurai culture, representing the fleeting nature of the samurai’s life and symbolic of drops of blood. They also represent the arrival of Spring, end of Winter, end of difficult/challenging periods, joy, beauty, freshness, new generation, life cycle, beauty and sexuality, love in a language of herbs, promise of fruit to come – fruits of your labor revealing in abundance.
Dragon – The dragon symbolizes transformation, transmutation, wisdom, protection, infinite self, supernatural power, primordial power and mastering all of the elements, also balance, magick, mystery, wonder, a powerful guardian and guide. The dragon symbolism represents you as creator, bringing a visual of your inner strength within reflected on the outside and of your higher self.
As you can see, the Dragon is curled around in a graceful dance, merging with the rest of this tapestry. Everything is connected, interwoven, builds upon the others, enhances each, and is in harmony and relationship to all. There is a power to this Dragon, but also a gentle strength and sweetness, as she flows through and rests with awareness among the Cherry Blossoms. She is wise and incredibly empowered, but also we see a tenderness to her that comes from embracing the vulnerability within us and not having to display our power in such overt ways, but to emanate it with grace.
Energy moves through the top and bottom and flows out each side, so there is a fluidity and not static quality to the design, although the mandala is quite anchored, which centers and grounds with its sacred geometry.
The conch lies center of the Hawk at the third eye and beak, reflecting the inner wisdom it holds through the insightfulness of the Hawk. The full-faced very held and soulful, penetrating gaze of Hawk, allows her to focus her vision, both inner and outer, with the inner guidance of her heart and intuition that are aligned with natural cosmic order…the center piece symbolism of the conch.

I always add shading and detail to the drawings so that you can get a taste of what it might look like tattooed when details come together. But usually tattoo drawings by artists are done in just the simple outline of the piece and the details come together during the inking process…but this gives a reference to assist the tattoo artist and it helps you to envision the possibilities.
Yesterday I had the chance to reconnect with my dear friend, Kate Magic, whom you may remember was the Faery that joined me in Iceland for my birthday celebration. This also gave me a nice break in the middle of my week, and take a time out for me after completing a lot of things.
Kate is out here for two weeks visiting from England, as she loves to visit California once a year. Plus, this year she’s putting on a very special, private VIP dinner party next week I have the honor of joining. This will be a spectacular 5-course raw vegan gourmet extravaganza hosted by the amazing and infamous Chef Ito at the new downtown Los Angeles Au Lac restaurant.
I’m so looking forward to it, as that day may be a big celebratory day on a personal level (news upcoming), so the timing is auspicious to say the least. I’m excited to sample her fantastic creations, as Kate makes raw vegan food the way I like it….true Faery food – light and without nuts or garlic.
I’ve sampled some of her amazing chocolate and chocolate cakes, but looking forward to what yummy surprises she has in store and getting a chance to taste a variety of goodies.
If you’re not familiar with Kate, she has Europe’s premier raw food and super food online store and resource, not to mention teaches raw food courses and is one of the best raw food chefs and authors in the world. She also just happens to be a fellow tattoo aficionado, wearing her own amazing array of sacred and magickal body art.
I love promoting conscious visionaries and magickal creators who are bridging the love and birthing the new!
Thanks to my Faery sis, Laura Bruno, who introduced us, as it’s been a truly special connection over the last 5 years, since our first meeting in 2011. We usually see each other about once a year, but this year three times! Kate and I both remarked that it is an exceptional year, 2015…and it also happens to be the year I’ll be seeing Laura again in the flesh and for our longest time together, which is huge since we’ve not been in physical presence for like 6 years or something!
But yesterday was just one of those days that remind you that the new IS here already and that it’s there for those with eyes, ears, and hearts to see, feel, and create it. And when in harmony with each other and in natural harmony with Nature, there is much to experience, manifest, and enjoy!
I already live in my own little magickal bubble (so funny because Kate has a website called “Kate’s Magic Bubble“), so it’s fun when I connect with those that also live in their own too. Then it’s like that bubble expands and the magickal possibilities just expand along with it.
So my morning kicked off with a huge Raccoon sighting on the deck. SO, in fact we DO actually have both an Opossum AND Raccoon that regularly visit our backyard.
Raccoons have a lot of interesting symbolism including understanding and revealing the nature of masks we and/or others wear, disguise, dexterity, seeking guidance, curiosity without fear, shape shifting, secrecy, resourcefulness, stealth, ingenuity, cleverness, dexterity, socializing, courage, self defense when necessary, and support during transformations.
It’s like a whole woodland enchanted realm going on here in the middle of the neighborhood that’s not rural or anything. I guess all the Faery magick, plants, fruits, blossoms, and energy are drawing in the whole animal kingdom, as we have tons of Hummingbirds, Monarchs, Ravens, and a variety of small Birds, Geese that fly over honking as their path along their transiting journeys, as well as Lizards (one of which lived in our garage a while), neighborhood and ferrel cats that are constantly roaming through and resting in corners of the yard, a Bee colony that decided the inside of our chimney was home for their hive and came through the house…you name it!
Anyway, Raccoon kicked things off and then I was off!
From start to end our day was just beautifully inspiring, healing, and igniting…definite activations at hand. Things can happen instantly…and sometimes it’s simply trusting your guidance which aligns you in the right place at the right time, connecting with a particular soul vibration in person, holding a crystal, etc. If you’re ready, willing, and open…anything can happen.
So I drove out to L.A. to pick Kate up. The weather was an amazing 80’s kind of day. We both showed up in our own Faery attire – she in a colorful shorts jumper that matched her colorful tattoos with red velvet, golden starred flats and me in a more woodlands Faery attire in teal and brown from a true Elven company that creates specifically “Faery” clothing with smokey jelly shoes with sparkles! LOL!
We first set off for Life Food Organic for lunch. I’d always heard about it and wanted to try it, so it was a treat to do so. It’s in Hollywood so parking can be a bit crazy, but of course just as we pull up, someone is pulling out of their spot and so we get amazing, easy, and quick parking.
I had the Sea Wrap (getting my Pisces on) and a Wellness Elixir as well as a Tonic. It was all fantastic and energizing. While there, Annie, the owner of Life Food Organic came through so Kate was able to catch up with her since they’re good friends. In the meantime, I was sighted by a Facebook friend I’d never met in person who came over. Really sweet soul with amazing eyes who surprised me when he said, “Are you Tania?” I’m always a little wary about who’s calling me, as I do like to keep sort of a low profile/incognito essence when out, but I was delighted when he introduced himself and we chatted about sacred tattoo designs and the possibility of me helping him with one.
With tummies satisfied, we ventured on to the Self-Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine Temple, which I suggested to her as something new for us to do together, if she hadn’t been there. She hadn’t, and so it was a treat for all since it had been a while since I had myself. This is an amazingly beautiful and serene sanctuary in the middle of the city and just a couple minutes from the ocean’s edge that was dedicated by Paramahansa Yogananda in 1950.
We first made way to the Temple, which was filled with powerful stillness and only 3 other visitors meditating there at the time. We sat upfront and did our own short personal meditations and then quietly left. Kate had a powerful healing as an extension of one that came earlier in the day for her as well and I received an image of a Dragon and Swan in mine….both really powerful symbols.
We then continued on to the garden walk around the perimeter of the lake, stopping at different points to take in the beauty of the amazing blossoms, lake, waterfall, and abundance of animals. There were a ton of aquatic Turtles floating, swimming, sunning, a Swan couple, Mallard Ducks and new little Ducklings, a variety of Birds and Fish including beautiful Koi, one Hummingbird that said hovered and said hello, Monarch Butterflies, and amazing red/orange and lilac Dragonflies.
Kate remarked that it was the most beautiful place she’d ever seen. We truly felt like two Faeries in the Garden of Eden and all of the animals were coming to greet us and talk to us, particularly this one family of Turtles that just kept hanging out below us and listening to us talk.
We giggled that the male was trying to court us and we were like two Juliets on the balcony/pier deck over the water and he was Romeo down below wooing us. 😉
While we walked around the lake we suddenly just felt guided to sit on one of the benches. It so happened to have a beautiful mosaic of two Swans on it so we each sat on one of them. And no more than thirty seconds later we notice straight ahead in the sky there was a rainbow portal that appeared.
None of the other few people around seemed to take note…we wouldn’t have seen it if we didn’t sit there…and there was and hadn’t been any rain.
At first the clouds it was in were shaped like a heart and then turned into a cat’s face. Kate happens to have a soulmate cat that it reminded her of. We both got chills and felt like we were in another dimension/world. This was like a New Earth and Garden of Eden or Faery Realm. Kate was really blown over and kept remarking it was like this whole rush of something “else” had opened.
We finally ventured on as the rainbow diminished and spent a lot of time just hanging out by the water taking it all in and talking about different things.
I showed her my new tattoo and we discussed the significance of Cicadas and the Diamond essence, which are both a part of it. She was fascinated by the Cicada, which was a prelude to something you’ll see later, and their ability to wait up to 17 years to birth.
We also discussed, as we often do, the energies abound and collective themes coming up, as well as our personal processes and what we’ve learned. One such theme was that of it no longer being about “holding” space, but rather, it’s about “creating” space and that is done by us following our hearts and joys and courageously venturing forward into new realms, knowing that IS service. This trickles out collectively and it isn’t a focus of “how can I be of service?” but instead knowing being in your essence IS of service.
Turtles came up because there were so many there at the lake and she asked me about their symbolism and I shared how many ancient myths, such as those of the Indigenous North Americans, describe the world as resting on the turtle’s back – many still refer to North America as Turtle Island.
And she then connected that with our seeing so many turtles that it tied in with our no longer “holding” and “carrying” energy for everyone anymore…it not being about something so heavy and demanding.
And I saw how all the turtles we were seeing were all swimming and floating…these turtles were in bliss as they danced through the water. They were light, quick, free, and mutable. This spoke to the message and how our own “loads” have been lightened, if we embrace that truth. We can let go of and release the old and old ways, the baggage, the karma, the heaviness…and simply move into our grace of being.
This mirrors for me, as I shared I recently lost 9 physical pounds from my two sacred journeys. It hasn’t returned. And while that’s a lot for someone small, along with it not being really noticeable to anyone, it was the manifestation of this energetic release and message at a very core level that took place and solidifies my thought on this for myself, as I do feel lighter and freer and find myself in a place right now of choices and deciding where I want to go next without any thought of what I “need” to do, but what do I “want” to do – navigating the waters of life like our aquatic turtle friends.
So we hung out for a while with just “being” in this enchanted sanctuary realm – our personal magickal bubble for the day.
We watched the family of Turtles – mother, baby, and father playing in the water, the Ducklings following mom over to one of the Swans that was napping on shore.
The male Mallards all gathering for some bonding time. Dragonflies racing back and forth in front of us and then the red/orange and lilac one dancing together. The moss covered waterfall flowing. And the sun glistening like Faery dust on the water.
This was Heaven on Earth.
We then decided to go to the beach to get our feet in the sand and water. So we made our way to the exit and explored the small museum connected to the shop on the way out. In the museum we got to experience Paramahansa Yogananda’s personal Crystal collection and wow was it fantastic! Special beings indeed.
My only sadness was that they were there behind a case, and although together with other Crystal friends, being honored and revered, as well as bringing in amazing energy to the Temple sanctuary, I wondered if there might be another way to have them be of service rather than off in a secluded little area of a tiny space.
Synchronously, the way to the beach was the same way I had to go to drop Kate back at her place, but it was also the way to another of her friends’ home in Santa Monica. She had originally talked to this friend about a potential meeting at 4pm that day because they are going to be filming a cooking episode together this weekend, but she wasn’t sure on our time together, so had said she couldn’t.
Well, after our magickal time on the beach, which I’ll share in a second, I said I could drop her there since it’s on the way as long as she can get back home. She messaged him and found out he was in fact there even though she’d said she couldn’t come, and our timing from when we ended up leaving the beach to getting her to his place was exactly 4pm, just as they originally discussed. Things just fell into place.
But back to the beach, as if things couldn’t continue more magickal…they did. We took our shoes off and left them in the car and made our way to the sand. We walked the length of the beach talking and feeling the refreshing water on our feet. As we walked we saw tons of very interesting jellyfish all along the shore that looked like little spider webbed disks…really amazing and symbolic. Then on our return walk something caught my eagle eye in the water, just after I had said to myself in my head “something magickal’s gotta happen here at the beach to end our day with.”
And there they were! A large pod of dolphins just ahead. Interestingly, Kate had asked me not too long before this if it was me she was with when she saw some dolphins on the beach and I’d said, “no.” But the dolphins said, “yes!” and created it then.
This was quite a big pod and they were not in transit, but likely were feeding on a school of fish. But they were like none I’d ever seen on the beaches here. Usually I see them just swimming up the shore, as they feed. So you get a glimpse of their dorsal fin and curved body each time they surface. But these dolphins were SO joyous and excited. I swear they were putting on a show for us and display of their happiness we were there.
We kept seeing them do little jumps and flips with full tail flutes up in the air.
We had fun watching them, as we got to the end of our walk and were now fully aligned with their location in the water.
Kate then said, “they’re going to put on one last send off for us in a big way… like fireworks and all!” We giggled, but in fact, no more than a few seconds after that, one dolphin shot straight up in the air and did a huge curved leap, splashing in the water…the biggest leap yet! And after that…everything died down and they were gone.
We smiled and said, it’s amazing the magick that is possible to create and when together with others who match that vibration of openness and pure intention, the possibilities are endless!
Back in the car we went, feeling full to the brim in enchantment, along the water and then pulled up at her friend’s place, which was just 12 minutes away – getting us there as the clock chimes in at 4pm like I mentioned. This also just so happens to be the time I had told her that I needed to head back home in order to make it by 6pm to feed the little ones. 😉
We never planned our timing and the only thing we knew we were going to do was go to Lake Shrine. The rest just unfolded, as we flowed with the natural rhythms of the day.
When we pull up to his place we giggle again, as the apartment building is decked out with lovely metal dolphins all over each of the balcony railings to the apartments. The only building like that.
We said our see-you-laters, as next week I’d get one more chance to see her before she heads back to England. And later that night, when I was home, she emails me to tell me that when she and her friend left to get her back home, guess what they see?!
Full circle magick, especially since she’d been so fascinated by my sharing about them and wasn’t sure she’d seen one before.
And along with many other small things we kept seeing and had come up, it was again that reiteration of how we can create our own experience no matter what else is going on anywhere else. If we stay in the purity of our wondrous imaginations and the childlike wonder of our hearts, life dances with us.
That doesn’t mean you don’t ever have the dark times and you don’t explore the shadow…on the contrary, that’s very essential to HOW to be able to create magick…by knowing how to work the shadow and alchemical transmutation.
I can’t wait to experience my upcoming time with Laura and the magick that will take place! We’ve had some unbelievable adventures and I look forward to creating more!
Yesterday was a good day for Cosmo. I took him to his therapy appointment to receive his Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation or VOM, which is a hand held device called a spinal accelerator or activator that works on the spine and joints to take pressure off the spinal nerve. He immediately was sitting up more straight and moved around for a longer period like a bunny without an injury, which impressed his doctor.
Of course he eventually tired and fell, but he was having a good and strong day where he was able to sit up and move around in greater intervals.
This is normal in the process of healing, to have good and bad days, and to hit plateaus as well. This was a good day and the doctor told me to keep up what I’m doing with the Reiki and Crystal massages, as it’s all doing him well. We also discussed some other things we could implement, which led us to talking about grounding Cosmo and connecting him more literally with the Earth.
I love this doctor because he’s into, and encourages, all forms of healing modalities and spirituality, which is awesome, so we have a lot to talk about and are on the same page about everything. He believes in a holistic approach to therapy and it makes me feel like Cosmo’s in good hands and my own approach is being honored. Even Cosmo’s other doctor who provides him acupuncture, understands Reiki and believes in energy work, so I feel like we have a good team going that really care about him AND who are on the same page with me.
Anyway, we discussed it being a good idea to take Cosmo outdoors for a bit and provide him some time to get his feet on the Earth, touching the dirt and grass to help ground and balance, as well as be a way to receive healing energy and a surge of nurturing recharge from his Earth Mother.
So, yesterday I did just that.
It’s been beautiful here weather-wise recently, so it was nice and sunny and warm as I brought Cosmo out back to the garden. I let him explore on the deck a bit and then I took him to the grass where I laid with him and watched as he connected to his natural surroundings.
To say it was moving is an understatement. He was almost overwhelmed with joy and love. Usually he moves about a lot, just as he was on the deck, but once he was on the grass and dirt, he just sat there and hardly moved at all. He listened to the birds, felt the sun on his face and body, and the Earth beneath his feet, and just absorbed in gratitude.
So much gratitude that in fact he started licking me a bunch to thank me and I was so teary eyed, and still am right now reliving it.
I let him sit there feeling the energy surge through his body, as I looked on with loving warmth overflowing in my heart. He was able to sit up straight the whole time, since he wasn’t moving about and so it was incredible to see him in his full glory in these natural settings.
Just another example of how important our connecting with Earth and our natural surroundings, including receiving the light of the Sun into our own light soul is and can benefit our healing and wholeness. Whether human, animal, plant, mineral….nurturing these relationships to Nature are essential for natural harmony, health, and well-being.
The photos you see are a few I captured of his experiences yesterday. Just look at how he glows.
Bringing him outdoors and having the sun shine on his face also gave me a chance to see more about his magickal, huge windows-to-the-soul eyes. They appear black or very very dark brown, but in fact in the sun’s light they are this beautiful warm brown with golden accents!
His doctor always says to me, “you’re my hero” when I come for visits and he says he shares about Cosmo and me to some of his colleagues. But I always say, “Cosmo is my hero”.
I share a special song with each of my beloved soul companions, and the song below has become mine and Cosmo’s.
It first arose one night when I was holding him on my chest and heart chakra. He was laying there, as I massaged his back the entire time with one hand and the other cradling him. His head was nestled between my neck and face to the left and each of his arms wrapped around both sides of my neck – his heart laying on mine. He fell asleep as I massaged him and music played in the background.
He would then stir, just like a baby and lick me profusely on my neck and face, then fall back deeply asleep. This went on for an hour – intervals of licks when he stirred and then returning to a comforted deep sleep – and would have continued had it not been for my needing to get to bed myself. But while this went on, the song below started playing and I just filled with joyous tears of love as I cradled this dear soul on, and with, my heart.
When I saw him outside in the sun, and he was licking me with gratitude, all I could hear playing was this song and I was singing it in my head and heart to him….
“May the long time Sun shine upon you…all Love surround you…and the pure Light within you….guide your way on”
Just like sound, which I recently shared about in my post “The Power of Sound ~ The Power of Your Song,” color and light therapy also emits frequencies, or vibrations, that can have many healing benefits. Read on to learn a little about color therapy and its effects.
Can color heal the nervous system? Do different hues have the ability to bring health to the body through the gateway of the eyes?
The answer to these questions is, amazingly, yes. Optometric phototherapy, which heavily relies upon the use of color, has been proven to deliver results to patients. This means that color is not only beautiful, but is also medically useful.
What Is Optometric Phototherapy? How Does It Work?
Syntonics, also known as optometric phototherapy or colored light therapy, is a form of therapy that has been studied formally for over 70 years. According to the College of Syntonic Optometry, syntonics “is the branch of ocular science dealing with the application of selected light frequencies through the eyes.”
To understand syntonics, you must first understand color. Color is not just something lovely to look at; it actually emits physical frequencies, or vibrations. Different colors emit different frequencies…

I love this post by Mary of “Walking My Path” titled “Goose Music”. It goes wonderfully with my today’s post on Goose Symbolism. Mary expounds so beautifully about these amazing beings. I hope you enjoy her share as much as I did. Thank you Mary for sharing it with me and for sharing your love of Earth and all of her magnificent children. ❤
Yay! The geese are back! There are two pair so far. We used to have the same 11 every year. Five pair and one lone goose. They came seven years in a row. They tried rearing young each year, but there has been less and less water, so they were successful only one year. Each year we see babies, and are hopeful.
Last year we watched the mama on the nest, and the male keeping vigilant watch – just far enough from the hidden nest to draw attention away.
The babies are yellow when they hatch. Right away, the parents bring them to the meadow by the creek.
It seems like the day they come out is the same day the yellow dandelions start to bloom. Perfect camouflage. After a couple of weeks, they turn a fluffy gray, just at the same time the dandelions grow their fluffy gray seed heads.

Duck, Duck, Goose!
This Goose crossed my path and as always I like to explore animal spirit medicine to see what symbolism is being reflected to me, along with any pertinent messages or supportive energy are being gifted and channeled my way.
This will be just a quick little share for anyone also interested in Goose symbolism or has been connecting with Goose a lot recently, as I need to run off to Cosmo’s chiropractic appointment.
Goose symbolism is quite inspiring, contrary to maybe some of the ideas people have about them.
It includes that of loyalty, forging ahead with bravery and confidence, teamwork and comradery, protection, clear communication, determination, dedication, fellowship, fidelity, fertility, and the balance of knowing when to lead or follow.
They also symbolize compassionate keepers of the community and embody the sacred circle and sanctity of the cycles of life.
Geese also happen to be vegan. So they symbolize a veggie and fruit diet and that this may be in alignment for you, or to incorporate more of these foods into your life – got that one covered. 😉
One really cool thing about Geese is that they never leave one of their own behind for any reason. They will stay with the sick and injured until they are either well again, or to support them as they transition. Now that’s loyalty and commitment for you!
They are extremely gifted in navigating, so they assist us in discerning our own paths in life and the choices that we’re presented.
They have amazing communication skills that they use in teamwork to help each other and protect one another. This protection quality also shows up in how they will fend fiercely for their young.
Gotta admire and respect these wonderful beings for what they demonstrate as example for us.
So, I finally got my new Garden Tower up this weekend. I had ordered it back in December, supporting the Garden Tower Project Kickstarter with this awesome venture that would help anyone anywhere to grow their own organic food.
Thanks goes to Laura Bruno, my little amazing gardening Faery, for sharing this with me when the first Garden Tower came out, which I ended up forgetting about, but then they came out with the Garden Tower 2 with new upgrades that include the ability to rotate to catch the sunshine.
Mine was shipped out in February and arrived just before I left for Iceland, so I hadn’t had time to even open the box and with all my travels and crazy schedule, it wasn’t until a few weeks ago that I was able to jump in on the garden fun.
I discovered it had actually been damaged during shipping, but the Garden Tower Project is awesome and they shipped another new one out immediately, which was perfect! So this weekend we were able to set it up and put it together.
So now for the really fun stuff in deciding which 50+ yummies I’ll be growing, then we’re off. I’m working on a list right now and researching things in my spare time.
I know I’ll be learning as I go, and will be exploring what works and what doesn’t, so there will be a lot of trial and error along the way, but will be a great way to play in some Earthy goodness, as I cultivate my little garden adventure.
I’m quite the explorer and need my life to be efficient, easy, and simple. I spend a lot of time outdoors, but don’t have that much time to garden at this point in my life, so this is the perfect way I feel that I can still enjoy getting my hands in the dirt and growing my own love-infused, organic food.
And so can you!
As I sit here working away on a sacred tattoo design, I have this song playing in the background – a very special song in my life, as it connects me and my beloved Nestor.
It was, and is, our song.
Today marks seven years since she transitioned (wow time moves fast) and so I honor her today with this version of our song and video that celebrates the Earthly, Cosmic, and Magickal we both love and honor.
I hope you enjoy the music and beautiful images.
It’s 11:11 am here, as I finish writing this.
I love you Nestor, now and always.
There was a lot of Crystal energy this month and along with that Crystal Elixir magick, a few Crystal offerings, and some special Crystal & Reiki Distant Sessions.
As mentioned, until the upcoming May and June workshops, I could only offer a limited quantity more of the elixirs, as well as Crystals.
That said, since nearly all moved on, I only have one more Crystal Elixir #1 (the amazing fusion of Herkimer Diamond, Orange Jade, and Iceland Quartz, which were all activated at the sacred sites and energy centers on my sacred journeys) available and one amazing Crystal remaining – the spectacular Aquamarine.
You can order your Crystal Elixir here:

It is extremely rare to find an Aquamarine of this size and of this quality and energy (not to mention at this price). She stands almost 4 3/4″ tall, 6 3/4″ long and 4 1/2″ wide. She channels the Goddess and Master Kuan Yin and is an embodiment of great compassion. Her service is to help bring you to the depths of your heart and to assist all sentient beings in a return to natural harmony on Earth.
Breath-taking, powerful, other-worldly and then some!

I’ve been wanting to share about this topic for a while, but hadn’t the time to put together my thoughts. I was prompted again the other day, to bring it to light, as I heard some rap songs playing somewhere that I was, which made me shake my head at how degrading they were about women, the female body, and sex in general. I was sad and also upset thinking about how people go around singing along with these songs on a daily basis, creating chants and affirmations that are completely conditioning them into more unconscious and blind acts and feelings that are harmful to themselves, others, and the collective at large – this being just ONE way this continues to take place.
It hit a deep chord, to say the least, that stirred my lower Chakras into unrest over the ways we are continually bombarding ourselves with conditioning that destroys our potentials to be all-empowered.
This is not a new topic for me, although I may not have shared yet about it, however since we also discussed this in depth while on our sacred journey in Peru – how priestesses and priests used sexual alchemy in spiritually empowering ways – and I’ve been feeling another surge of lower Chakra energy waves coming through personally and collectively in the vein of this theme, I felt to share it in more depth.
Sexual alchemy was something practiced amongst the high priests and priestesses of the ancient civilizations, who held this sexual knowledge and utilized it for transmutation, divinity of union, sexual rituals of spiritual initiation and activation, healing and enlightenment, Earth communion to create harmony and abundance through harvests, and more. Being that I remember myself practicing this in many of my other lives, it is not simply an idea, but a personal reality embodied in my DNA.
We then have the churches and patriarchal societies that destroyed and ensured this knowledge would be hidden, and anyone involved in it, to be punished, tortured, condemned to “hell”, and even killed. And then from this repression, guilt, fear, and hidden suppression we then get things like degradation of women, sex becoming something done secretly or held as “dirty”, and pent up energies that violently abuse the beauty, power, and spirituality it once was revered to embody.
The nature of sacred, sexual magick and alchemy hasn’t changed, as that knowledge and power always has been and could be accessed whenever we want, as it is the root of our existence.
It is the conditioned beliefs and fears that have distorted these sacred acts of creation, once again in effort to suppress our ability to be empowered, whole, and consciously sovereign co-creators of life.
Charlotte Szivak does such a wonderful job shedding a little light on this subject of sexual alchemy and magick, that I am going to share her insightful article on this topic. And perhaps you’ll be inspired to explore this topic more, as well as dig deeper into your own experience to explore just how this energy may be suppressed in your own life, as we are all collectively affected by this.
As Charlotte shares:
“The sacred actually lives within your body. By engaging in conscious acts of sex, it can lead to transcendent experiences of bliss and self-realization. Many of these sacred sex leaders would teach how to direct desire and raise emotional vibration in order to achieve one’s goal. They don’t speak, however ‘to the power of sexual desire used as fuel to have our wildest dreams come true. This is the secret beyond the secret: sex magic’.
When we engage with intent, we do so by remembering that sacred sex is so much more than just the mere physical joining of our bodies in orgasmic delight. It releases the pain of the unexpressed anger suffered in silence for a millennium in shame and perversion carried around, and sexuality is transformed. We become vulnerable, authentic, transparent and powerful. Igniting our souls and awakening our hearts in become the sacred door or gateway to expanded experiences of orgasmic ecstasy. Remember, it is love that invokes the divine.”
