Bird Medicine Feather Gifts

The special feather gifts continue…yesterday’s Bird Medicine blessings from Crystal Cove.

Feathers are strongly connected to the spiritual realm.

I love the contrast of these two.

Brown feathers symbolize grounding, stability, respect, home, earth connection, grounded positivity, and balance.

Black feathers symbolize mystical wisdom, spiritual initiation, angelic protection, and magick within you to harness. They also herald change and that a transition on a soul level is happening.

Black mixed with brown, as mine above, is balance between your physical and spiritual life.

The little bit of white at the bottom of it ties in the white feather, but also adds hope and harmony to the mix.

White feathers symbolize innocence and purity, or a fresh start – purification. Also hope, peace, blessing of the Moon. White feathers are also thought to be signs from the angels, but feathers in general are known to message you in general that your angels are near.

Feathers show up as reminders to pay attention and heighten our awareness to what is going on in our life at that moment, our thoughts, questions, feelings….they are being reiterated and validated, as well as supported with opportunities.

They carry the energy of light-hearted freedom, change, truth, lightness, clarity, speed, flight, ascensions, communication with Spirit, celestial wisdom, honor, and respect.

Native Americans believe that feathers that fall to the Earth are purposeful gifts from the sky, the trees, and the sea depending on the bird from which it comes. They revere birds as spirit guides and bringers of messages that walk through different stages of life with a person, while teaching, guiding, and protecting them.

To the Egyptians, they were symbolic of sky gods and the goddess Ma’at was said to weigh the hearts of people who have just passed in the underworld against the weight of a feather to determine the worthiness of his or her soul.

Melanie Beckler, an internationally acclaimed best-selling author, channel, and founder of shares:

“The Egyptians believed feathers to be a symbol of Ma’at, the goddess of truth, justice, and order. Native American Chiefs wore feathers in their head-dresses to represent their communication with the spirit world, and believed finding feathers was a sign of new beginnings and rebirth from spirit. Celtic Druids wore ornately feathered robes to transcend the physical plane and gain celestial knowledge from the realms of spirit. In the Bible, feathers metaphorically represent loving care and protection and as a common dream symbol, feathers signify the ability to freely move throughout life. Feathers can also represent a fresh start in a spiritual sense, as well as truth, speed, love, lightness, and flight.”
