Remembering the Nature of You ~ A Day On & Above Lake Tahoe

20161021_142021_resizedAfter the refreshing rains of last weekend, we’ve been experiencing incredibly stunning days here at Lake Tahoe and, as always, are taking advantage of every moment possible that we can immerse in Nature despite a busy and transformative past week and a half. We’ve had visiting family with us all week from the San Juan Islands and Martha’s Vineyard, today to include my family joining us for a celebratory day, but yesterday saw us doing one of, if not, my favorite things – boating on the water – crisp wind in my face and hair and fresh spray kissing my skin. Of course I stayed at the front of the boat the entire time and lost myself in the deep blue mystery of this crystalline portal.

I think you can see how soul-happy and connected this makes me. 🙂

So we rented a boat and took with us a picnic lunch and made our way to Emerald Bay where we enjoyed it by Fannette Island and its mysterious Tea House that was built by Lora Knight who purchased most of the bay in 1928 and built the Vikingsholm mansion along with the miniature castle on the little island where she would take guests by boat for afternoon tea.

We ended our time with a hike above the lake, making it a well-rounded day of being both on and above it and of course anchoring in some good forest time and grounded Earthiness.

No matter what our days involve, we always involve Nature and this has been a lovely gift to share with family. They’ve expressed their appreciation for showing them how we seamlessly weave this into our lives as an extension of who we are and that they have been inspired to do the same.

And it prompted me to remember and share with them about the 30 Day Nature Immersion Challenge I had put out there two years ago (coincidentally) for October of 2014 that was so transformtaive for many people.

I believe that spending time in Nature creates positive change in your life that will benefit yourself, everyone around you, and the Earth at large.

The more time you spend in Nature, the more you start to see and feel from a different perspective, understand the connection between all things, and live with more compassion, grace, inspiration, energy, greater health, and a softer vibrational footprint.

Spending time on the lake itself yesterday was transformative for me and rooted me to the nature of who I am and what I want to create.

I believe when you immerse in Nature, you remember the Nature of you.
