Cosmic Heart Activation with Reiki, Raw Food, and Wild Dolphin Communion ~ Birthing the New Earth in Bimini, Bahamas – all details of this amazing retreat and how to secure your spot, can be found here.
The excitement is building as we edge closer and closer to December and the powerful energies of what many know as the Mayan End of Days and 12/21/12. Everyone is feeling the shifting energies in their own way, as we collectively embark on a new journey of experience. I’m honored and thrilled to be part of an amazing offering, this December, in support of this new reality.
If you haven’t decided yet on how you will choose to anchor in the energies personally and collectively, but are feeling drawn to be part of something that is heart empowering, perhaps immersing yourself in the Atlantean energies of Bimini may be your calling.
Here is one of the unique experiences you can look forward to having on this amazing retreat as you commune with our cetacean brothers and sisters, the wild dolphins – an experience that easily could become your most cherished and magical of your life:
Swimming with Dolphins at the ARC:
If still unsure and would like to explore this option more to find out if this is where your heart is meant to be, here is an inside look from Jenny Yemaya Cook, my dear friend and the founder of the ARC – The Atlantis Rejuvenation Center where our retreat will take place in December – shared in the latest article in Get Fresh Magazine, Autumn 2012…All about the manifestation of creating the raw retreat center in the Bahamas. It not only provides an amazing unfolding story of its birthing and the energies around it, but is an inspiring story to all on living your dreams, doing everything it takes to bring them into fruition, and trusting in the magic of your intuitive heart guidance:
And here is a beautiful article by freelance writer and lover of all things wild and natural, Amy Lesser, who recently swam in Bimini with the wild dolphins while on retreat at the ARC that offers an inside look from the perspective of someone just recently having experienced all that Bimini and the ARC have to share. See www.happypeasant.blogspot.com for more information about Amy:
Raise Your Vibrational Energy: Swimming with the Wild Dolphins of Bimini by Amy Lesser
At the edge of the horizon, where the blue turquoise sea meets with the sky, are the sharp curls of impressionistic waves. They wiggle and wave at the end of our vision as though cut from construction paper by a child. They remind us of the books we read as a child, filled with poems of the sea. Always present, those blue curling waves beckon of adventure and speak of distant lands.
It is no wonder, then, that our first trip to this sparkling waters yielded up a buried and lost child-self. The intuitive side of us that has always been connected to the higher vibrational light, but unable to find its way back, resurfaced.
We were scheduled for a one week stay at the Atlantis Rejuvenation Center (the ARC) on the island of Bimini, in the Bahamas, to meet up with friends, complete some last minute construction to their newly refurbished retreat, and ultimately, to soothe our own jagged waves by immersing ourselves in the healing Bahamian waters to swim with wild dolphins.
Bimini is one of only five places in the world where a swim in the ocean consistently guarantees a swim with wild dolphins. It is home to the playful and social Atlantic spotted dolphins, as well as many pods of Atlantic bottlenose dolphins. Wild dolphins swim right up to you in the water and encourage you to join in their pod by swirling, twirling, and frolicking in the waters of paradise. When you are in the water with the dolphins, they immediately begin to heal your cellular structure through their echolocation and sonar. Studies have shown that dolphins activate cellular healing in us by spontaneously encouraging our bodies to create more T-cells and ‘feel good’ endorphins. The echolocation from dolphins can be felt in our skeletal structure, and ultimately reverberates through our spinal cord and into our brain. Dolphins impart their high frequency sonar and highest intelligence vibrations upon our cells and DNA.
We had come to swim with the dolphins, to heal our bodies with wholesome raw vegan food, and to meditate and stretch with yoga in the mystical land of the Atlantean energies. Bimini is known to be the home of the Atlantean stones, an underwater road of manmade ancient stones. The lost civilization of Atlantis, prophesied to be located off the shores of Bimini by the late Edgar Cayce, American psychic and medical clairvoyant, were located in 1968, just as Cayce had predicted. You can snorkel and explore the Atlantean road, as we did during our stay in Bimini.
The vibrational energies of Bimini’s waters are impossible to ignore. Situated directly in the vortex of the Bermuda Triangle, Bimini simply rolls with powerful emotions and clarity. This energy is enhanced to an unmistakable level when we join pods of wild dolphins in the sea.
Our dolphin boat, which left the bay at 2:00 and returned each evening at 8:00, floated us like winged flying fish directly out to the mirror clear waters of the dolphin grounds. Cheerful starfish dotted our path in the crystal waters below. Here we entered the land of the dolphins by donning our snorkeling gear, slipping into the silky ocean, and becoming one with the watery blue sea. There are no words to describe the energizing epiphany that one experiences upon first swimming with wild dolphins. You could describe it as a mixture between pure joy and the ultimate love of the universe. It is a life milestone that redirects us back to what is essential and true, and inexplicably imbeds itself in our very cells. Some react to their first swim with dolphins with exuberant smiles or laughter, similar to the joy and carefree feelings of childhood. Some cry uncontrollable tears of pure joy. Some are completely overwhelmed at the beauty of it. All come away with a new door opened that lets in the most dazzling luminous light into the cortex of our souls.
The Atlantis Rejuvenation Center is the dream-child of Jenny Yemaya Cook. Jenny, who grew up in England, first came to Bimini 14 years ago in her quest to visit the greater vortex/grid lines of our planet. She described arriving in Bimini as, “Feeling as though I had come home.” Though she did not know how to swim and had a tremendous fear of the deep water, she was soon relaxed and twirling in the deep with the dolphins. Bimini has a way of doing this. Whether it is the high mineral content in the beautifully clear Caribbean water, or the energy of the place itself, we felt like agile fish alongside the dolphins in the lovely blue world of sparkling Atlantean energies. Adding in the pure clean raw vegan food we ate that week, prepared with care by raw chef Amanda Russcol, our entire systems were cleansed, recharged and elevated. Beautiful verdant salads, four-star entrees, and bursting-with-life raw soups are part of your daily experience. You will forage for sea vegetables such as sea purslane, prickly pear fruit, and kelp, that are then cleansed and added to our raw soups, juices, and salads. The intense energy shift and vibrational realignment from the dolphins is greatly assisted by a diet that is clean and pure. This helps you to raise the body light energy that you contain, even further
While at the ARC, you can soothe yourself, as we did, through yoga sessions in the restorative sea air. Every afternoon you will be privileged to head out to swim with the wild dolphins in the ultra pure waters of Bimini. It is here, at the joining of our world and the dolphin world, that the dolphins will invite you into their sacred ground. Once you arrive at this border, simply practice respect, reverence and most of all, remembrance.
If you are looking for a way to quickly increase your energy vibration, to heal your body, or to reconnect with the pure joy of life that seems so lost in our busy world, you owe it to yourself to visit the quiet and healing island of Bimini, and to reconnect with your child-self through playful swims with the wild dolphins.
Our Bimini Retreat in December over the potent 12/21/12 date, is filling so you may not want to wait until the last minute to book your space. This is time to reach into your heart and see what it is sharing with you in terms of its resonance and path. This will be a beautiful, memorable and powerful experience to share together for those who are meant to join. We will not only work with the energies in ways to align and support your individual path, but anchor that in with a collective highest good. I get more excited, the closer the dates approach, which now is only less than 3 months away!
The dates of our journey are 12/16-12/21. We have had an amazing response and influx of inquiries about the trip. On our Facebook event page alone there are 16 Yes RSVP’s and 32 Maybes, but only 20 spots total and are a 1/4 filled. We are booked full for the boat vortex trip on 12/21, but still have spots for the land vortex trip on the same day.
Remember, however, that if you would like to join us, the only way to officially secure your spot, like the others have, is with a deposit. We love all of the supportive love and excitement about the trip, but don’t forget to book your space so you won’t miss out.
Both raw vegan and cooked vegan options available. This is a chance to break away from the structures and schedules of life, and immerse yourself in loving, flowing energy, not to mention a breath-taking opportunity to swim and connect with our magical dolphin friends, and to be supported by the energies of Bimini. You will also have the chance to learn and be certified in Reiki 1 and 2, participate in group meditations, take daily yoga classes and more! All activities are optional and tailored to your needs.

I look forward to connecting with you and am grateful to be sharing this journey of creation we are all on together.
I know that it’s been a very intense and challenging year for so many and on a global scale we’re not only going through all the growing pains together, but we’re all learning how to navigate things one day at a time within a new framework we haven’t yet experienced. Nothing is predictable and nothing can be changed by doing the same things we’ve always done. It’s a completely new territory we’re embarking on and the best way I can see us getting through it is by inviting more kindness and compassion to anchor in our hearts toward ourselves, each other, and the planet at large.
To every one of you, know that while you may have felt isolated, you’ve never truly been alone. Not only are so many beings supporting us at this momentous time on Earth, but we’ve all shared in the collective feelings flowing through the airwaves, and like many others, I’ve also carried you in my heart through every thought and action I’ve had and taken this year.
Astrid and I want you to know that you are special, you are loved, and if you’re here with us right now, you have purpose that is needed.
Everyone has gone through different experiences this year, but even in the worst cases, I still can’t help but feel like 2020 had a gift or two for us in bringing everything to a pivotal place we can launch forward from in the coming years. I feel so strongly the support from souls who have departed, as without the confines of any limitations they once experienced, they are now able to help even more and guide us through our hearts. Let us honor and share love for the brave souls, near or far, who are giving so much to the collective.
Rather than dwell on the year, now soon to be behind us, I’d rather bring light to today and how we might focus our energies to work together toward the year ahead.
One of the things that’s stood out as an important key piece for moving forward is how chaos, challenges, and surprises have given rise to the need to create your own balance point within it all – that place within your heart, or your center. I, and many others have spoken around this quite often, and I feel it’s consistently been rooting as a message worth repeating. This is one great way to shift your focus and find your anchor of peace, rather than constantly living in reaction to the world around you or having outside influences take you off-course.
You must be your own true North – the focal point that will help navigate you through even the darkest of nights and murkiest of days. The steady guide that knows how to reframe experiences through curious observation, so as not to become them.
Trusting your own instincts, inner guidance, and higher self nudges is going to continue being important, the more things unfold and get confusing as to what or who to listen to or trust out there. So much of what is on the surface is not what it seems on any side of the spectrum, but eventually truths will be revealed. In the meantime, your own inner compass is the best gauge, and the best way to hear that is to practice consistent listening to and trusting of what comes through your heart.
I feel like we’re going to be in a process – one of transitioning from old to new – for quite some time, so finding your center will continue to be important while things adjust, come more to light, play out, and get revealed. Building strength around that inner core and finding or reaching out to supportive and aligned friends, family, guides, or systems that can assist you with that will be of great help.
So much old stuff and outmoded patterns are in process of being released and that’s like a worldwide collective detox in motion. If you’ve ever experienced any kind of cleanse or purge in your life then you know that it can be pretty turbulent and uncomfortable stuff, right? Add in a whole planet going through that cleanse at the same time, at varying degrees within a huge spectrum of possible reactions, and you’ve got quite a hot zone we’re living in.
With that bigger picture perspective, perhaps it can be a reminder when you get ready to react that everyone is going through the same challenges and pains of this change and mourning process. Perhaps that can help you to be more present and mindful in responding instead, stepping back to breathe, or simply sending love in the direction of a growing pain playing out, or a fear trying to hold on for dear life.
Maybe we can each try more to be a heart bridge for others and for circumstances that pop up. Realize that the insecurity and pain of change is what causes fear. And fear isn’t the authentic expression of anyone’s soul. It’s a temporary story trying to survive within a new framework it’s not used to. Fear is simply part of the cleansing and discomfort around the transition process, before something new anchors. Let us be the way-showers and anchors for others when they are blinded with fear. And let us be willing to reach out vulnerably for help when fear also takes over our own reactions. Communicating from the heart creates a bridge where fear can be diffused.
As I think I mentioned before, I’ve never felt more that things I and others similar to me have been working on, and even who I am/we are and my/our purpose/s, are more relevant or more applicable than they are/I am/we are, now. It’s as if that undercurrent that kept us going, kept us hoping, kept us believing and working toward for all of these years – perhaps even since we were born – is finally here. So, this isn’t the time to give up hope. On the contrary, this is the time for you to truly shine.
I used to feel like a fish out of water, which is a relevant description for my Pisces self on Earth, but no more.
We all have different roles lighting up across the grid right now, but in each of our ways and within the scope of our unique energy frequencies, we are helping to birth the new and build bridges through the heart as a way to get there together for the highest good.
Let’s continue to help raise the vibrations of the collective, by working as a team and thinking about how our thoughts, feelings, and actions affect the whole. While you focus on your individual role, keep a simultaneous vision of the bigger picture at work and how it’s all connected.
Let’s work at being more present in the now and release the need to control years down the road or trying to predict things. It’s no longer possible, even for the psychics amongst us, to predict exacts. We may get a sense of things, but the how’s and when are truly a day-to-day unfolding. So be here now. That’s what’s on the table to embrace fully and create as richly as possible. And every now moment will then create and weave the next.
By immersing your energy here, you ignite greater momentum toward manifesting things, than living in either the past or the future. Remember that anxiety and fear are based on not living in the moment.
We’re going to increasingly see the coming together of aligned groups with shared visions and purpose. When this happens it raises the collective vibration even more, simply by the merging of hearts. I have seen this happen in classes and retreats in the past, but more than ever during this year with our online group class gatherings and the soul family that merged. It creates the impetus for huge upgrades, expansion, and greater sense of essence embodiment.
And as much as I saw and felt this unfold for the people brought together in our classes, I also received through 2020’s connections, which exponentially raised life to a whole new level.
2020 definitely was a collective focused reset that called us each to embrace different immediate paths than we might have thought the year would be about. For some this meant more individual/inner time, which will create the highest good for the collective by shifting the focus of your life and the way you used to do things that has impact for the whole. For others, it was about how our individual gifts were needed for the greater good and stepping up, rather than back, was important for the highest good.
Although I’m not making any individual predictions, I do sense that 2021 for me will be another reset and a very new creative expression of my soul frequency will be in motion yet again, which will shift how things play out and look from what 2020’s surprises brought. Starting off 2021 in a different literal and creative space for 9 weeks, I feel is no coincidence – just as I had started off 2020 intuitively by taking a 3 month sabbatical.
To add to a lot of energetic collective shifts upcoming in the New Year, February 12th will ring in the Chinese New Year of Ox – which is my native Chinese Zodiac sign.
This will herald a collective year of building toward goals, solid commitment and consistency to manifesting tangible results, taking concrete steps rather than getting lost in illusions, possibility for prosperous enrichment and creative refresh, family, emotional unions, and value focus, and a rise in need of teamwork, loyalty, intuition, versatility, courage, ethics, professional discipline, solid efforts, and greater stability. Overall, it can be a good year for renewal, completing and grounding what was started, and opportunity for success in new ventures.
So what do you want to create, change, heal, or complete in 2021?
Creative energy is center stage and streaming through for us to harness in each of our own unique ways. Creative life force energy is not just about drawing, painting, making music, writing, etc. It’s simply about creating or producing something – and that can be anything from an idea made tangible, starting a family, creating jobs for others, beginning a new venture or entrepreneurial business, making a new recipe, planting a garden, etc.
I know, for myself, that the visions I’ve had are calling me forth in 2021 to ground. And so that is where I’m being led, one consistent-determined-ox-like-step at a time.
Happy renewing and grounding 2021!
Remember who you are.
May all possibilities be open to you.
In love and creative magick,
Tania & Astrid
P.S. (Quick Reminders: The Magick Rabbit Etsy Shop is now closed until I return in March. I have also closed the Intentional Art and Sacred Tattoo Designs, all Intuitive Energy Guide Sessions & Reiki Healing Attunements, as well as all Online Reiki Classes. February 7th’s class is Full. The only available thing you can still sign up for is March 14th’s Crystal Healing & Reiki ~ Deepening through Integrative Healing Sessions)
The next time you hear from me I’ll be in a temporary, new Winter location. See you in 2021!
Although this year has been a mixed bag of experience for everyone, it’s also flown by quite rapidly. Some people have harnessed 2020 as a year to make the changes that have been knocking, take advantage of the more inward time, tend to heart desires and what’s of most value in life, and strengthen voices with an array of action from visionary to reactionary.
I’ve also seen my own life change in response to everything, making this a huge year of quite profound, transformational twists and turns – many of them unexpected, but very warmly received.
Amongst it all, I’ve found a new layer of richness in returning to platforms that now cycle through in a different way. It’s been hugely rewarding to be there for others taking giant leaps, while bunny hopping myself. 🙂
Today’s post introduces a few new additions to these platforms, that come in response to both what you’ve been putting out there and what higher self is guiding me to embrace.
And to add to that is this little reminder that keeps popping up through interactions with others – you have dreams for a reason. Some of that includes helping to motivate and inspire you into a momentum of forward steps. Taking action to support your dreams and intentions is a fundamental piece of the puzzle. Depending on how much you really want it and how much you’re willing to give to it, will determine the force behind your motivation and focus.
I’ve seen that direct reflection many times in my life where only what I put all of myself behind, did I actually see the changes or opportunities I desired.
It’s easy to get stuck in the dreaming, imagining and wishing mode, as it’s a way to create a fantasy version of life that temporarily removes us from the actual life right before us. But to turn fluff into tangibility, is crucial to manifesting things. It can seem daunting, but small steps will start to organically bring things together and eventually create outcomes where you won’t even recognize yourself or how you got there because it happened more easily and more enjoyably than you thought. These steps can be simple and seem almost not connected to your vision of an outcome, but make all the difference.
Here are the newly optimized offerings I’ll be available to support you with – some beginning today and others in early 2021 – that can aid the process of those momentous, yet simple steps.
- Sacred Tattoo or Intentional Art Designs: As you know, I used to offer sacred tattoo designs and have stepped away from that for several years now. I still do not intend to go back to this full-time like I used to, but after having recently taken on a handful of very select art commissions that have been extremely fulfilling, having to consistently turn away an influx of requests, and hearing from others how the designs I create have been hugely instrumental in supporting people with transformational phases in their lives, I am being guided to open up 10 spots for design work. This can either be for a sacred tattoo design OR a sacred, intentional art design that you can use as a portal piece for helping to support your work and/or life transformations. They will be done in pencil, as all of my designs are. So, these are not paintings, but actual, detailed designs just like you’ve seen me do in the past as templates for tattoos. I had several people, during the time period I offered sacred tattoo designs, commission the designs without intent of tattooing them, but to act as template portals for specific things in life, or even as book cover and thesis paper designs, as well as life’s work project designs – or soul logos. If this calls to you, or you’ve wanted a sacred tattoo design, this is your opportunity. Again, I am only going to take on 10 projects, so if you would like a design, you’ll find more information and can place your deposit here: Sacred Tattoo or Intentional Art Designs
2. Special Guidance/Coaching Sessions to Navigate These Times at Discounted Price: Between now and end of 2020 you can set up phone sessions with me as an individual one-off session or purchase a package of sessions to meet your needs. Repetitive numbers have been a thing for me for quite some years, but things really went crazy this last week away and since home, with many numbers showing up repetitively, but most notable is 11:11. Although I saw repetitive everything between 1’s to 5’s, the 11:11 portals were very pronounced. So, I’ll be offering these special sessions at only $111 (regular price $226 – savings of $115). These are sessions specifically to help you navigate the energies right now if you’re feeling thrown off center, chaotic, unclear, not sure what’s yours and what belongs to others, are anxious, depressed, stressed out, overwhelmed, feeling out of control or controlled, or simply are unable to hear your voice right now and have been experiencing indecision where once you felt strongly focused. We will discuss the energetic dynamics at work in the macro and micro and help you to regain clarity, focus, and greater peace and balance so you can get back on track in the vein of your own energy frequency. When we learn how to navigate our inner world, we optimize outer world manifestation. I’ll listen to guidance on what tools we might use for our work together and help devise a support system for you to get back to feeling empowered. You can sign up for a session or package of sessions here:
3. The Mentor Muse ~ Guiding Inspiration for Life’s Work Alignment: I’ve mentioned that I would be offering this and it’s looking like Spring of this new year, 2021 is going to be the launch. As I mentioned before, this would be a more intensive and exclusive one-on-one offering, to support a comprehensive approach to manifesting a new path that turns your purpose and passions into your career, while also transforming your life so you experience the fullest expression of your spirit potential right now. Because of the intensive, highly-focused, consistent work this will involve over the course of a longer period of time, it will be very limited to likely taking on just five clients to begin. As, people move through their journey, I’ll then look at opening up to a new group because I want to ensure having the time and being able to give fully to everyone in the highest way. This will include a set number of zoom and/or phone sessions over the course of our work together, weekly check-ins, and individualized processes and customized material to support each person. I’ve thought about this a lot and I don’t believe there are cookie-cutter ways and programs, as each person has their own energetic frequency that works uniquely, so this is not going to be a standardized module program. I’ll work with each person to devise our approach for helping you with your goals. Anyway, this is just a heads-up for Spring, if you were interested in this, and I’ll post more as we get into the New Year so that you’ll be able to have time to feel this out and sign up if it calls to you.
4. Etsy Final Close-Out/End of 2020 THANKYOU Sale: I’ve been feeling that at this juncture in time I am going to be closing our Magick Rabbit Etsy Shop. It may reopen in the future, but I’m needing to shift focuses for now. With that said, we only have 7 items remaining in our shop – two prints, three of our last notebook journal, six sets of greeting cards, and then three special items.
I just added a listing for framed prints of the last four of the Magick Rabbit 8″x10’s. I fell in love with a framed print of The Empress that went to someone and decided to offer these last ones gift or hang-ready. There’s just one of each to choose from.
And then the other two items are custom listings for either Magick Keepsake Chests painted by request or inspirationally guided, or commissioned Magick Portal Wood Plaques. I mentioned that I’ve been working on some art commissions and one of them was a Magick Portal. I am so in love with it and as I was creating it I reignited my pure joy of this kind of work and so it’s no wonder it just poured out in abundant fertile energy! It’s painted in acrylics on basswood and I added a star flower of opals at the top. Here’s a few peaks in different lightings, angles, and close-ups of the piece I’m so excited about:
And this is the sweet bunny model that was my muse of inspiration:
I have just four of these portal wood plaques left as numbered below:
They range in size from small, medium, large, and extra large with varying accompanying prices in our shop.
These would make incredibly unique and memorable Christmas gifts, but if you want one in time for the holiday, then I would need to get your request in right away to ensure I can complete and ship it off timely.
I just happened to have a bunny commission, which we know I love, but I also love painting faeries, gnomes, animals, flowers, plants, mushrooms, butterflies, dragonflies, and anything Nature, Cosmic, faery tale, or magickally themed. I’ve done many animal companion portraits in the past, so any animal can be painted – one that is with you, or an angel watching over you. A way to celebrate, honor, and cherish them forever. They could also be created for someone else you love. I have also loved creating crystal illumination portals that are painted around a particular crystal or crystals as a way to harness and focus the crystal’s energy into your space and life. Other ideas include adorning the perimeter of the plaques with crystals and creating an amplified portal or looking glass into another world or energetic experience. I have the ability to create a mirror and crystal portal on the wood as well – so mixed media is possible for a mosaic-like portal or combined with painting, as I have mini mirror tiles as an option.
Anyway, you get the idea…hehe! I love these kinds of creations!
There’s a 25% off THANKYOU sale going on for the next week through Thanksgiving for any holiday gift-giving ideas on all items except the commissioned custom art pieces here at our shop:
5. 2020/2021 Class Schedule Reminder & Spaces: And last, we’re edging close to our very last online Reiki class of 2020. It’s been an amazing year and incredible group I’ve been honored to support. All the dates and details for these classes/events can be found here:
And a last reminder I shared on my Instagram page while away, but deserves repeating.
Don’t underestimate the importance of self nurturing. I know first hand how the desire to help others can be the driving force of our lives. Being of service is a beautiful thing, but you can only give out for so long before it catches up to you and potentially might debilitate you fully to do anything anymore, let alone keep giving.
We’ve been taught and conditioned that self care or listening to our needs is selfish and that martyr roles are the image to aspire to. I learned that image well and it took years to untangle myself out of that pattern.
We each have our own journeys with this, but I’ll just share that until I balanced the relationship I had with myself and to others and truly embraced the essence of abundance being a flow in and out of giving AND receiving, I didn’t live a healthy life and I didn’t really have the best of me to give. The more I understood this balance, the richer the exchanges have been and the more vibrant my energy thrives to keep on giving because I also give to me and open to receiving too.
Recently I’ve been taking mini personal renewal vacations and these have helped make a huge difference in my ability to return back to things like teaching, coaching, taking on art commissions, and doing healing work that I stepped away from because I’m no longer just putting energy out in one direction.
I’ve created a daily well-being practice of balance whether home or away, to keep my well full. Sometimes that literally is served best by fully stepping away, though, which is where I found myself the last week. It’s something we’ll each explore and journey with in our own way, but for me I know it’s what my soul needs to be able to keep an authentic heart presence in all that I do, to be able to withstand the chaos, crazy energy all around, and tugs at me from every direction, and STILL remain centered and at peace, AND to continue to be able to say yes when I receive the nudge to offer new ways of support and inspiration to others.
I believe that everything we need to know is right within us – our bodies are the perfect best friend we never thought we would ever have, but divinely designed in reflection of exactly what we need. Whether our bodies operate in the way our egos desire or not, they are a miracle.
Cultivating body wisdom is an intuitive guide to understanding ourselves. Just like you can look at sky maps of the stars, planets and constellations, we can also consider our body a map of the interrelationship of the universe within and how everything is connected.
The body helps us to ground the creative life force energy that we are, into form, and provides the channel to convert energy into actions.
Everyone has a very different journey and trajectory in terms of how they will convert energy into action. However this has manifested is still in divine perfection regardless of how we judge it with our egos. This can be more challenging to embrace, if in fact we have some type of disability or limitation with the body or we dislike it in some way because we judge it against others.
Yet, it is always enough. It is always worthy. And it is more than adequate because it is a manifestation of creation with divine design in mind.
I feel that an illness, challenge, disease, etc. are ways of experiencing – not a punishment, but an act of experience. Everything can be viewed in terms of energy wanting to be experienced and there are unlimited creative ways for this to manifest as. There is no right or wrong about it.
Form is temporary, like in nature, and eventually will pass away. It goes through cycles that transform it and it only disappoints us if we hold tight to desiring it to be or look another way.
Experience lives on in infinite ways and creates eternally.
The body is our vehicle in life for what we came on Earth to do and the heart, spirit and mind work in unison as the driver.
Like every vehicle, our bodies need regular maintenance, care, nourishing fuel and good treatment (inside and out).
This is especially important at this time in human evolution where everything in the world is heightened in the most extreme ways, which takes a toll on our bodies, drains the emotions, strains the mind, and can temporarily put a damper on spirit when all of the other parts are processing and integrating all of it.
Even though spirit understands a grander alignment, the other parts of us are needing to catch up and doing all that we can to supply our bodies, emotions and minds with nurturing things, will help us stay strong and in flow with the experience spirit has set up for us.
This is why finding ways to create peace, time outs, doing something enjoyable or luxuriating in some way, and refocusing yourself at the center of your heart become vital. And there isn’t just one way to do this, since we all have different lives, likes, passions, and ways of experiencing things.
For me, I’ve found some of the greatest ways to restore vitality have to do with clearing my mind (getting things on paper and creating manageable daily schedules), creating a time-out-of-time space for myself (even if just for minutes), immersing in the natural world (the surrounding wild nature, my garden, soaking in the sun’s rays, spending time with Astrid and the kitty babies, making flower arrangements for the home), doing small relaxing or pleasurable things like tea time, daily home spa nights while watching a movie or series, letting go, having gratitude, laughing and being silly, establishing days off, and saying “no.”
These have all helped me create greater balance too, but the biggest thing I’ve found helpful for my body has been physical exercise that allows me to enjoy the outdoors and peace and quiet at the same time. This combined with a lifestyle daily intermittent fasting and even more sleep than I already usually get, help to physically integrate the fast changes we’re going through as humans right now.
Even if we can’t do physical exercise, just being outdoors or bringing nature indoors to you can have a profound effect.
For me personally, I’ve seen a huge difference in how my body performs and how some physical imbalances have all harmonized through finding the right fit of activity that integrates who I am and the energies I came to experience.
I mentioned in a recent post about a sudden accelerated level of endurance and speed in my hiking and biking activities.
But I’ve experienced many other physical shifts too. My years of mild, sporadic hypoglycemia has completely subsided, my EIB (exercise-induced bronchoconstriction), which for me is non-asthma related, has disappeared, peri-menopausal hormonal shifts have balanced out on their own so that I no longer take any herbal supplements to support (I actually don’t take any vitamins other than B12 or extra doses of Vitamin C in intervals), my adrenal glands experience consistent happiness, without trying my body dropped extra grounding weight it no longer deemed necessary to keep me integrated, and there’s a more consistent level of energy in me.
Getting outdoors and moving the body in what ever way we’re able, really does the mind heart and spirit good as well. Or at least moving creative energy through you in some way, relative to you, can help free up the blocks. The goal being, not to let energy sit stagnant. And the key being, use your creativity to be creative in finding ways that are perfect to your experience.
I wasn’t always this active, and it’s ironic that as I’ve gotten older, my physical activities have grown exponentially. It’s never too late to start caring for your body and taking on new activities. Our bodies are our vehicles in life and to the extent we are able to go that extra mile for it, it will for us too.
I’ve found that my experience requires me to both be creative AND to be physical. That’s just how my energy is set up – it’s in my astrological chart. And my body actually needs more than most people, otherwise the energy will turn on me and rage from the inside out in various forms.
At 47 1/2 I feel the healthiest, most balanced, and in the best shape of my life (so far) and do the most things physically than I’ve ever done. It didn’t happen overnight, and I didn’t even know how it would happen, but with committed effort to make inner changes in my life, open my heart deeper, and release the internalized anxiety and acidic kind of stress build-up I once used to feel – things have continued to transform and come together with more synergy. (Having Astrid in my life, just might help too). Rather than having compartmentalized experiences, I’m learning to merge life as one stream of experience.
It’s interesting because I was in complete embrace and peace with all the different things I used to experience, feeling relief I understood why and knowing how I could make adjustments to still do what I wanted to the extent that worked for me.
Creating peace around things is a perfect companion for the potential of change to happen naturally.
The energy around these three Eclipses seemed to also provide a doorway to activate more of this, and while I immersed in things like greater outdoor activities, an elevated surge of energy was able to course through my body. Astrid actually also has been experiencing a surge of energy in recent days. 🙂
It was surprising, for me, because although I have been doing a lot of natural exercise, things went to a whole new level I didn’t realize it would.
It feels like the years of trying to figure out how to harness the productive energies of my Mars placement in the first house is finally coming to fruition – organically.
So again, as I said, we each have different energy experiences we came in to have and for me this really is supporting the balance for my body.
That said, it still is vital to do self-care in your own way and some sort of body integration or physical activity to move energy is really supportive for everything we’re all going through.
So much old stuff, trauma, pain, wounds, beliefs, etc. are being loosened to the surface. So many very distinctly contrasting energies are circulating. And this can get trapped inside of us if we aren’t in some way able to move it through the body and “shake it off”.
Time-outs are increasingly important even if just five minutes of full shut down from everything to unplug and feel the power of silence.
I took a long three-day weekend off over 4th of July since Dave had Friday off of work and we decided to find our own bit of peace even amidst a busy weekend. Although this 4th of July wasn’t as crowded as past years, we still like to do our own thing. Fireworks were also banned this year so it was overall much more quiet.
We decided to fill each day with tons of nature and exercise for well being. That included ways to get out and away from everyone or to just be passing through while in motion.
This involved a long 12-mile hike on Friday, a more moderate 11-mile bike ride on Saturday, and ended with our longest-to-date bike ride on Sunday of 37 1/4 miles. The last time I attempted a 33 mile bike ride, the last half was very uncomfortable with my butt and back feeling sore and energy slowing. This time I didn’t experience any of that. In fact, not from any of the activities we did back-to-back did I have pains or soreness from and I even went above and beyond from day one, as you’ll see.
We definitely got some great physical strengthening in, soaked up immune system building pine air, and enjoyed good sleep from all the high vibes.
I want to circle back to the 12 mile hike, which was a retracing of our steps from nearly three years ago. That was the last time we did this hike to Star Lake and you may remember that story and what unfolded from my share in September of 2017, Made of Stardust.
We’ve been talking about returning and this time we decided to do it as an out and back trip rather than a shuttle adventure, like we did then with the group we were with. It was 13 miles the way we did it last time, but by doing it this way, it cut one mile off. Doing it this way also involved much more climbing than the previous time, with a cumulative elevation gain of over 2400 feet over the course of the mileage. The highest point you arrive at is 9600 feet with Star Lake sitting just over 9000 feet.
My intention with this hike, besides wanting to return to this beautiful lake I love the name of, was to integrate and harmonize 2017’s adventure that ended with me having a broken foot. Although that was perfectly in alignment with my writing goals at the time, I felt facing the trail again as the person I am today would be a powerful activation, as well as a way to overcome any trepidation that past experiences can potentially create.
And it was.
Not only is the mountain charged with such powerful energy around this spot, but I found some interesting things show up in a couple of photos, like the odd rainbow energy just above this snow patch in the trees to the right of the middle rock.
And the light creating some kind of gateway anchoring each side of this creek.
Before I went I was getting from Astrid that there were more raw quartz in mind for us that were up there to retrieve. She was right, as I found 3 that spoke to me and received blessing on using for our Earth-grid here.
I deliberately took the same backpack I had last time, which isn’t the greatest in terms of carrying things (material and without a waist strap to shift weight to your waste instead of your shoulders), but very light and roomy.
Not only did I carry these wonderful crystalline beings for half of the 12 miles on my own, but I’m happy to report no injury and my newfound strength and endurance had me capable of completing our hike in great time. I also never once had my EIB coughing that always would happen when I was doing strenuous uphill climbing and even with the added 27.4 pounds on my shoulders (yes we weighed them), I was able to do the elevation climbing without falling behind Dave. He remarked later that this is the exact weight of his mountain bike and how crazy that sounds to have basically carried his bike 6 miles. I had to agree.
I had to swing the backpack up my back so that I could carry most of the weight in my arms by holding the straps, but it worked.
I was amazed at the physical changes, as these are things I would not have imagined me doing, especially given my EIB.
But I’m happy that I did things the way I did so that I was able to actually experience the profoundness of how much things have transformed. It’s not something I need to repeat, yet it demonstrated what is possible.
I think I’m actually turning into the mountain goat I’m meant to be – I say that due to all my Capricorn energy.
And I believe I’ve found my way to move all of that deeper energy, emotion, and stored trauma up and out – my way of “shaking it off”.
That day also happened to be the day before 4th of July, which is the 9 year anniversary of my grandpa’s transition – he died at 96. I had a very special relationship and connection with him, despite his living in the south of France where my mom and her family are from. We would spend special time together on his long visits (sometimes a year) and we had a special bond. He is the one who helped cultivate my artistic gifts, as he would sit with me on his lap drawing for hours when I was a little girl and so I am grateful for his nurturing the artist in me and for seeing the value in that. He never wanted me to stop creating.
Creativity is connected with the importance of moving energy through the body in various forms. Our creative life force wants to be experienced and if we shut it down we can experience blocks and challenges. So, in fact, my grandpa was nurturing the importance of this from the start.
And being at Star Lake was also a perfect place for reflection on things to include my grandpa in the stars now as my guide. Perhaps he even showed up in a dance of starlight in the lake.
It’s especially meaningful that I wear his wedding band as my own, knowing he is with me even more along this new journey. Everything he stood for I carry forth through my own embodiment, in my own unique way.
He loved to draw, spend time in the garden, loved animals, loved to laugh, and had his own strong connection to his beliefs. Although more religiously based than my organic spirituality, he was giving, full of gratitude, and loved his family.
I know he is happy and proud seeing me as I am today and would have tears of joy for this union, knowing I wear what was so meaningful to him – a way to honor his bond of love with my grandma and the cycles of life meant to continue and expand further.
In many ways, during uncertain times, I feel I am rewriting my story and as I do, it is rewriting a lineage of stories.
As we each do this, we collectively ignite something different for the future.
And as we each do this, let us not forget our bodies – physical and emotional bodies – while we progress forward with our minds. All of these parts create divine union of our spirit in motion of experience.
In order to meet the new reality we envision, integrating all that good stuff through our miracle vehicles I believe will help get us there.
No matter where you find yourself in the experience of your body, there is a perfect path only you can carve that is vital to all of us. Loving our bodies as they are right now, allows us to really embrace how energy wants to move through it.
Astrid is right in alignment with today’s Full Moon in Libra, as she wears her own version of the “balancing scales” on her fur today, but literally IS the symbol for the nodes. AMAZING!!!! I was taken back at first noticing last night and was in awe of how yet again she reflects the perfect messages for us. She’s a walking embodiment of the collective energies, constantly mirroring what is most needed at this time.
Many years ago in my twenties, while researching astrological influences and dissecting my own chart, I came across the nodes. The material was very revealing at the time and I kept hold of notes over the years from those hours of research I did at the library, and continued at home in studies, with it. Then come some 10 years or so later, I discovered that for me, the South and North nodes were the most important key to revealing the path that would be most optimal on my evolutionary journey and returned to my work I’d started back then.
This continued to lead me to where I am now and most fully truly engaging this in the last 2-3 years.
The nodes speak to what you came here to learn, and the past challenges and gifts you brought with you for that journey of growth.
And here Astrid is reflecting this again, at a time period I continue to make more shifts, contemplate new ones, and forge ahead and anchor in a path that leads me onward.
Something the collective is also actively engaged in.
It is also being reflected right now during this Full Moon, when the spotlight is on revealing where imbalances are within the partnerships we have on all levels with things in our lives. A need for reviewing that masculine/feminine dance within our energies, as well as looking at the shadow and hidden parts of ourselves we may still not quite be fully aware of, have a handle on, or realize how important they are in what’s playing out around and in front of us.
You may find yourself facing the need to cut cords that no longer serve you at this time, power dynamics may be playing themselves out, and you may even be experiencing surprises or shocks to help you correct your course and feel more in alignment again.
What things are coming to an end of a cycle and asking for completion in your life?
I know currently a couple of major things are happening right now in my own that are ending some major cycles and that are really interesting to observe how they’re unfolding in uncanny and unquestionably connected full-cycle ways.
This Full Moon seems to be speaking to knowing thyself and putting forth your embodied truth before the desire to keep the peace and save face with others.
Where might you still be walking in someone else’s design of you, rather than creating from the heart of you?
Astrid wears this “node” and “balancing” sign directly at the back of her higher heart. There can be no more direct message for clarity and courage of living your truth and moving beyond the limitations that may be holding you back, while also integrating them in order to strengthen and reinvent the new.
The interesting thing is that you can’t see the symbol on her fur unless she stretches forward fully, like in this photo where I captured it while she bent down and over to eat her evening snacks.
It is otherwise hidden from its fullness.
She is demonstrating that you will need to have courage to “stretch” out of the comfort zones you’ve become accustomed to living in and this will put into activation the path of most alignment and light the path that you’ve felt was calling to you, but never quite could see.
Astrid encourages you to do the new and the challenging, rather than what has always felt easy.
You will need to stretch into the unknown.
Then, you will feel more purpose, passion, and pleasure in life when you jump off the tracks laid before you and build a new train that rides the timeline of your essence.
I’m going to be introducing a new, small series of blog posts that will become regular ones on either a weekly or monthly basis. I’ll announce that in the next couple of weeks. This is part of the new changes that are forthcoming and will continue to morph as I feel into everything. For now, I thought I would kick things off with opening the floor to questions from you – my friends, readers, supporters, and collective family. This may also help with creating the new series’ focuses.
I recently posted something similar as my Instagram Story’s status, realizing that while I have shared quite a bit over the years, there are still questions people have been curious about asking and message me about.
Many times we only see the person before us now, and don’t realize they’ve been through much the same that we or others have and so hearing about those pivotal shifts, choices, and processes can be supportive, reiterative, or even comforting.
Sometimes it’s just nice and fun to know those quirky things, that makes each of us human, and bridge the gap of distance in knowing each of us a little bit more since we may never meet in person, this go-around.
I’ve shared some of the twists and turns, wild rides, things and experiences people didn’t know about me, but there may be something in particular that has peeked your interest over time to ask.
While I don’t have the ability to answer all of the messages I receive in depth, I thought it might be fun to open things here to questions from you, where I can address a few of those things during my designated creative and writing time.
With that said, if there is a particular question or thing you’re curious about, I felt the nudge to open a blog post focused on answering some of those.
So, if you have something in mind that you’re curious to know more about, I’m going to open this to up to 11 questions – at least for now.
Each person can ask one question and my only request is that it isn’t in the form of wanting me to do a reading, coaching, psychic prediction of any sort, nor is a general how-to question.
This is specifically a get-to-know and/or understand me better forum, where you might be curious about how I came to something in my life through my own personal experience and that may reflect something for you since we are all connected.
A couple of examples that came through on Instagram included things like:
“How have you gotten over a broken heart or how have you been able to let go of a partner?”
“You live a very spiritual life – if that’s the right word to describe it as – how or what helped you to embrace this?”
Please submit questions via my contact page at this link:
Please do not write your questions as comments to this post.
I will only answer questions sent via the Contact format and only up to 11 at most.
If I see that the questions are more involved, I may break them up into more than one blog post when I answer them.
All questions will remain anonymous.
I look forward to hearing any curiosities from you.
Wishing you a positive start to your week and a gentle shift during this beautiful Autumn season of change.
There are so many directions I could take this share, given the layers of experience that unraveled in Grand Canyon National Park this last week – mirroring the multi-layers of rock found there “that serve as windows into time.” Rather than orchestrate my direction, I’m going to allow an organic channeling to flow of insights, experiences, and connections, in whatever way they want to come through. Perhaps more will be felt via the energy in the photos shared. Either way, as usual, it’s impossible to really explain in words what is felt and to encapsulate what is so expansive and complex. And so, some mystery will be left to explore within yourself while I reserve some of those sands of time for divine unwrapping. Besides, I am very anxious to get back to completing my book, especially so now with the new integrated energy and Spring opening her gateway.
We were away for nearly 11 days, beginning our trip with Tucson explorations and lovely family time, continuing the adventure deep within the Grand Canyon, and rounding things out with integrative contrast and fun in Las Vegas. I considered these travels a birthday celebration, as I’d just celebrated mine about a week prior to our disembarking.
As shared, this was reiterated and deepened in meaning when I discovered my 45th birthday of 2/26 was shared with Grand Canyon’s 99th birthday as a National Park. The plot thickens. 🙂
I’d also only recently become aware of the hidden and highly covered up potential of Egyptian temples and Tibetan connections within the GC that no one seems to want to acknowledge – no surprise there since it would mean acknowledging science and history were all wrong in so many ways, not to mention, open up more gateways to knowledge that could shift and awaken so much. I knew this would only be an introduction to the GC, but I had a feeling I’d receive my own confirmations of this while there, which would set up future explorations.
Our travels had us in Tucson, Arizona 3/7 – 3/10, leaving early that morning to venture north to the Grand Canyon to meet our friends. Tucson prepped us with beautiful hikes, good vegan food, rest, and family connecting – all perfect for the adventure ahead. On the way north we stopped for a brunch in Phoenix at a wonderful vegan cafe – Nami – where we enjoyed a hearty meal and picked up a box of vegan donuts, pastry, and cupcakes to share with our friends for dessert and breakfast – our last fun, city food before hitting nature fully. We passed Sedona as well, where I caught a glimpse of the red rock there while we headed up the highway. That also felt like an energetic grid light-up, like every little piece was part of a puzzle coming together.
We arrived fairly early on the 10th – around 2:30 pm – giving us plenty of time to prep, go through our equipment, have our friends help us pack our backpacks, enjoy a great vegan pizza and salad bar meal, indulge in vegan goodies we brought, relax in the jacuzzi, and get a good night’s sleep before our 3/11 trek! It started to rain this day and rained through the night, feeling so perfect as a cleansing and clearing, to give us a fresh start. A potential for full on rain and some rain was there for the first couple of days of our adventure, but this didn’t end up happening. There was no way of knowing for sure what weather we’d have for our hiking, as it changes moment to moment, but we were prepared for anything and in the end it was absolutely perfect! Faery powers activate!
We were in the GC 3/11 – 3/14.
I found it interesting that during this whole trip there were some cool alignments and celebrations happening that really made it all even more impactful and synchronously symbolic.
While in Tucson on the 9th I celebrated the anniversary of officially adopting Cosmo in 2015 (although he came home to us in January of that year). That day I also found a small sparkly quartz stone that was shaped like a rabbit’s ear, mirroring his lovely ones that were always illuminated in energy. I also saw several cottontails that greeted me each day. And coyote medicine made an appearance as well.
While in the Grand Canyon I celebrated my 17 year anniversary of my legal name change to Tania Marie, which was on the 12th (our second day of trekking and arrival to the Colorado River. On this day I’d felt renewed, especially after the previous night’s experience I’ll share later. This felt very potent not only sharing my birthday with the GC, but now having my true birthing into who I am taking place while within her womb.
There was also the time change on 3/11 – the day we hit the GC trail – that didn’t affect us in Arizona since they don’t change time, but was universally a leap ahead an hour, mirroring my leap into this adventure.
We road-tripped it to Las Vegas 3/15 – 3/17 and then returned home to Lake Tahoe on St. Patrick’s Day which also happened to be a New Moon in Pisces – my sign – and again feeling like a rebirthing that indeed took place. We ended up arriving home to several feet of fresh snow from another snow storm, giving us the most snow we’ve had all season. This mirroring the purity of energy in the snow storm we got to enjoy as a send-off to our trip, now greeting us upon return and creating a fresh start.
Perfect timing with Spring Equinox today, adding to the spark of new and renewal.
That’s a brief overview of timing and alignments, and now onto more of the GC.
Rewind to several months ago when KC – aka Bean and Clint – aka Happy – were visiting in Lake Tahoe for the Summer. You likely remember that I’d fractured my right foot on September 10th of last year, during an epic 13 mile hike to Star Lake. It took 2 months to heal with some integration back, so in November I was slowly starting to get out hiking again to strengthen that foot. It was also right before they left back to Arizona that they put out the idea of our doing a trek with them in the Grand Canyon, so that they could share their favorite place, besides Lake Tahoe, with us and our other two Tahoe friends, Sharon and Paul.
I was the first to say an immediate “yes” to it and I held strong to that conviction the last 3 and a half months or so, which materialized now. Dave wasn’t sure if he’d be able to with work and wasn’t able to get excited because he had a lot going on at the time to think about it, but I kept intending and Dave ended up being able to and got just as much on board. I spent the last few months prepping my feet for what I knew would be the most demanding of hikes I’ve done, and even though I also had a deep cut to the back of my ankle that took place in early February that was still healing, I knew I’d not be deterred and continued saying “yes.”
I know many were concerned for me, my feet, and thought there’d be a “story” from this adventure too, since I tend to be more fishy as a Pisces (with fins rather than feet) and can have some strong symbolism manifest in my feet that align with big shifts in my life, but I’m happy to report none of that took place and in fact, my shifting into my Capricorn North Node – or Cappy as I like to call it – seems to be boldly in effect.
It also was no coincidence that our sweet friends and GC experts (who have been hiking there nearly 15 years) are a Capricorn and Cancer, respectively. This merging beautifully with my Capricorn North Node, Rising and Mars, as well as my Cancer South Node, and with Dave’s Cancer North Node, Rising, and Capricorn South Node. We were like puzzle pieces to each other and further even, as I later discovered more astrological links between us in researching their charts with my brother for them.
And I have to say that the earthing done in such a power place as the GC, with so much linked “history” and resonance with my higher self, as well as rich in layers of Cappy energy, was healing and integrating in ways that created leaps within.
It seems that all the times as a child and the couple of visits in recent few years to the rim of the GC were prepping me for this full immersion that divinely aligned with knowing Bean and Happy, which although we’ve been friends on Facebook for 5-6 years, only manifested in the flesh this last summer. I couldn’t imagine going into the Grand Canyon with anyone else, as not only are they such seers and feelers of her mystery and beauty, but are back packing experts and incredible trail guides, which was exactly what this Pisces with Cappy North Node in training needed!
That leads us into a little overview of the rim-to-river-and-back trekking we did before further explorations for all you technical peeps and to add some perspective to the overall experience and challenge. I may not get all the terms down properly, as I’m going off memory, but I’m sure Bean can chime in in the comments, if I have something off.
We started at about 6800 elevation, which was at the rim, and descended to about 2200 elevation, which was the Colorado River’s base. However, with the ascending and descending that takes place throughout, we did about 5000 total elevation gain with our hiking (the most previously to date I’d done was 3300 in Montana without a backpack). The guys totaled 30 miles and us faeries totaled 32 miles, as we did a lot of little mini expeditions into faery lands and to treasure hunt.
This doesn’t sound like much over the course of 4 days, however, backpacking increases the intensity and challenge of regular hiking about 2-3 times. We likened it to snow shoeing and how that also increases the time and intensity of hiking at about the same level.
I carried about 25+ pounds on my back and Dave had about 35+ pounds.
There are different types of trails as well….we went down a threshold trail and connected to a primitive trail. The more raw the trail, the more technical and less traveled.
There are apparently 4 levels or classes of hiking with 4 being the most challenging on the scale. We were doing Class 3 hiking. So we kicked off my very first experience of all of this with a bang! Bean and Happy said they had confidence in us that we could handle it given our hiking and activity level we do consistently and the elevation we live at, otherwise they’d never take us on such a trek. I’m proud to say we rose to the occasion!
In our trails we had sections of what they call Black Diamond, which is like the ski runs with that being the hardest of any. And also were on some Double Diamond sections, which involves climbing with hands and legs, where you either hand off your trekking poles or bracelet them around one wrist while you climb up rocks in canyons.
I had no idea what to expect, but as I mentioned, I just said, “yes” to it all, despite likely my greatest fear being heights (specifically being on an edge, but not flying or paragliding). Likely because of my Pisces fish feet that hadn’t fully merged into their Cappy mountain goat hooves – yet.
As I said, this was my very first time doing any of this, as my camping experience is limited to a couple childhood times, but I’ve never done the full-on back packing, camping and trekking like this, despite all of my hiking.
So, this being the first was really a huge leap….as not only did it not go in baby steps of introducing me, but took me pretty full-on in every way to fully immerse me in the most challenging of everything that would help me arise and conquer.
This wouldn’t have been possible at any other time in my life, as this is when I’ve been most in my “nature,” aligning me the most with Nature.
And given the Capricorn energy that’s been beckoning me further, I indeed needed that mountain goat courage and sure-footedness to navigate my new path in life. Hence, I called in the “Grand-est” adventure to help with that leap.
It seemed Mother Nature was also on our side in aiding this plight, as we had the most incredible weather you could ask for.
We started the hike with rain that only lasted about an hour, which made all the colors of the Canyon pop and created amazing fog and clouds that slowly revealed the mystery below us in divine increments, and then turned into perfect sunshine and shading throughout the rest of our days that was mild and comfortable.
Our first night was the coolest at about 40 and then warmed as we descended, but our days were high 60’s to 70 with gorgeous light, stunning clouds and sunsets, and even a mysterious wind for a portion of our last day’s ascent, blowing in change and moving seeds of time before we reunited with civilization above and into a new timeline – as indeed it feels a time leap and shift took place.
There are so many layers of experience including personal, group, and collective, involving integration, spirit retrieval, activation, renewal, anchoring, healing, strengthening, parting veils, and so much more! Rich and sacred indeed, which to me was even mirrored in my hair.
I normally have my hair down, but felt called to ask Bean to braid it for the journey to make things easier, but also to connect with my “roots” more and the Native vibe. The first two days I had two french braids woven into my hair, then a free flowing “down” hair vibe at the river in between the last two days of one inverted french braid to round things out. Not only is braiding a very sacred ritual that weaves in intention, but the symbolism of two braids – feeling like me riding the middle balancing duality like the Chariot in Tarot – and then the inverted one braid – as integrating and transmuting the two into a whole new and potentially parallel reality.
It was interesting to see the photos of my braids after, as I’ve never seen underneath my hair except for in front where I see both on top and under where my silvers are most evident. But in getting to see the inverted french braid photo, I was able to see how silvers are interwoven everywhere in my hair and that made me extra giddy. Most people wouldn’t necessarily be happy about that, but I was quite ecstatic to find them literally threaded throughout and that added another layer of ancient and new side-by-side. Much like just being in the Grand Canyon felt….taking me back ages, but from a new perspective of now. Old and new me coming together – that Trinity energy of Maiden, Mother, Crone spiraling in a vortex of One.
And speaking of vortexes, you better believe I experienced that here. The most profound being on our first night at one of three incredible campsites we enjoyed.
Our first day (which was greeted with a mule deer on our path just before we reached the trail head) was filled with new vistas around each corner and much to tantalize the senses. When we stopped for lunch at the creek, Bean and I went exploring down it a ways and came upon magickal waterfalls….a faery land indeed!
We hardly saw any people while trekking – no more than a handful or so, until the last day when we were on the home stretch. And that included completely private campsites we had all to ourselves and the spirits of the Canyon.
It was at the first site that those hidden Egyptian connections were firmly confirmed for me.
To begin, let me rewind to the jewelry I felt called to wear for this entire trip. I normally don’t wear jewelry hiking – or at least it’s seldom and rare – but I was called to wear 3 bracelets – sunstone, obsidian, and citrine – and one necklace with a very special pendant.
The pendant is a turquoise Horus that I got on one of my travels to Egypt. I immediately was told to wear it. All of these stones I felt would be supportive to my integrating and anchoring in Earthy and empowering energy for the trek, while protecting and infusing me with just what I needed. (In the above photo you see it hovering over Horus Temple and below hovering over Tower of Set. If you know their story, bringing them together was for balancing).
Little did I know that so many of the peaks and citadel formations of the Canyon are Egyptian named. One just so happened to be Horus Temple. 😉
On this first night Bean found us an incredible camping site that literally rocked my world.
We set up tents near the edge of the Canyon overlooking the Colorado River on both sides (each of us having a view of the river at both ends) with the Tower of Ra, Horus Temple, and Tower of Set behind and to the right of him all overlooking us! Osiris Temple was off in the background behind them. (There’s also Zoroaster Temple and Isis Temple – not sure if I’m missing others, but these are the Egyptian ones I became aware of on this journey).
It felt like no coincidence this would be our first night’s camping site, making it an initiating and activating experience for sure. The light of the setting Sun on Ra was incredible and the colors just painted themselves brilliantly, as we settled in.
Like all days and evenings, we enjoyed yummy vegan food and never felt deprived or without. We had bags of trail mixes, peanut butter pretzels, some of my fav dry roasted almonds, vegan jerky (bought and home made), my favorite Chocolate Peanut Butter and Chocolate Mint Clif Builder’s Protein Bars, and hearty Outdoor Herbivore breakfast and dinner meals of oatmeal with chunks of apple, quinoa, and seeds, raisins and cinnamon, Basil Walnut Penne with crushed basil and walnuts, and Cheddar “Mac” with sundried tomato and nutritional yeast. Our friends brought along their own mixes of meals we got to share and sample, along with fun vegan candies as treats now and then. We would carry all of our water and filter and make water along the way at creeks and the river.
This first day was our longest trek all at once of 11 miles. As mentioned, miles in the Canyon are not the same as miles on regular terrain, as there is more to take into consideration with the type of trail, technical maneuvering, caution of foot placement, elevations changes, climbing and descending on varying terrain, and of course carrying your heavy back pack and taking breaks for water and food to fuel along the way. So it can double or nearly triple your time, depending on your skill or experience level.
We set up camp, marveled at our views and the energy there, filled our tummies, enjoyed conversation awaiting the stars to appear, and settled in for our first night – the coldest of the nights since we were at around 4000-4500 elevation and quit exposed. Luckily we were all prepared with our layers and thermals and our sleeping bags that take 20 degree weather.
Anyway, this first night was the most interesting for me, as not only were my quads adjusting to the new ways of using their muscles in carrying a pack and climbing giant steps, but I had a hard time falling asleep for what seemed like an hour or more.
Because the mountain was moving.
I laid on the side of tent that was closest to the edge of the Canyon and nearest to the Tower of Ra. And when I say it was moving, I mean I literally was on edge because I could feel the non-solidity of a very solid mountain that was rolling toward Ra, Horus, and Set and that our tent was flowing off the mountain as if on a waterfall. But not down, as in falling into the Canyon, but down and off the edge into a magnetized glide toward these towering Guardians.
I was ready to get up and get outside the tent to actually see it, but being that it was cold out and I was mixed with excitement and nervousness, I stayed put. I resigned to the fact that the Horus pendant I was wearing, in fact was creating a grid between me and Horus Temple and the others, literally drawing me to them, or rather, soaring on his wings to return “home.” Or, perhaps it was acting as a key that opened a portal. I’d say it was both, but that’s just me.
I knew then these “conspiracy” theories, which I never thought of in that light anyway because I believed, were in fact reality. There was definitely a vortex here, definitely an Egyptian connection, and the mysteries of the ancients were opening themselves to me…welcoming me…or in fact, welcoming me back. Just as with my first trip to Egypt, where everyone I’d met on the streets would look me deeply in my eyes, as if to recognize me and kept saying “welcome back” and “welcome home,” as they handed gifts to me.
Egypt has always been one of, if not my most powerful connections in this lifetime to help open and unravel things for me. I felt at home in the Canyon and there was a sense of the familiar, as well as a lessened sense of my normal fear of heights – or perhaps it was an increased sense of my ability to power through it and access that technical focus and mind/heart connection that created ultra awareness and sensibility. Perhaps it was an added layer of my Egyptian spirit activation or a recall of doing this all before, in another time and space.
There was no denying what I knew in my heart and spirit…Egypt was here and SO much more, and I’d been here too, long, long ago.
The rest of that night continued interesting with dreams after dreams and awakening and sleeping on and off likely because of the potent energy surging through me and my body adjusting to all these new and old experiences merging at once. Like another soul retrieval and return to “origins” I’ve been speaking about, but I definitely felt the presence of divine and powerful beings around me.
And yet, I woke the next morning to a gorgeous sunrise and new day feeling refreshed and ready to go. Although there was definitely something new in the air.
We took in our surroundings over breakfast, thankful for this incredible site and the energy we got to experience here. Then prepped and made our way after a group shot.
This next day we had about 4 miles to go (if I’m remembering correctly) to our River destination.
I remember how this day I felt lighter and the backpack that I was learning my way around the previous day in terms of adjusting just right and finding my body balance, was no longer a thought. From here on, I did not really notice my backpack and came to feel it to be almost nurturing to have there…like a shell to a turtle.
In fact, I always call myself a turtle when I hike, as my usual hiking is to have a consistent turtle speed (allbeit, this is usually faster than the average person, is slower than most experienced people). This is how I maintain my energy levels without getting depleted, is a way I can enjoy my surroundings and check things out, and is also my preferred mode even more so now in order to strategize each move deliberately and thoughtfully to avoid “incidents.” I’m definitely the rabbit and tortoise dichotomy, incarnate. 😉
We reached a creek and followed a bed of rocks that led us to the Colorado River where we set up our next private campsite on the most beautiful beach all to ourselves.
The sand was silky between our well-traveled toes and here we quickly set up camp so that we could enjoy a full day and night.
We reached camp around the same time of 2-2:30 and here is where we washed clothes in the River and also enjoyed a very invigorating and cold, refreshing bath immersing in the flowing water where the rapids rolled by.
We always washed up every night with things we brought along, but this was our best bathing of the journey that left us fully renewed and revitalized.
Explorations were in store a bit, as we checked out the incredible Vishnu layer of black rocks here that are so smoothly carved they appear like fine sculptures with razor sharp edges in some places.
In some areas they are laced with white and blue glazed crystalline layers that are truly magnificent.
There were so many incredible stones, fossils, crystals, layers of the Canyon rock that we discovered along the way, including 100’s of heart-shaped rocks that lit up our path with love, as if placed by angels that were supporting us along the way. Some of the incredible pieces dated back 1.7 billion years, as in the case of the Zoroaster Granite of the Vishnu layers.
The fossils dating 2.6 billion years of shells, small sea creatures, worms, and salamander/lizard-like prehistoric beings. Amazing!
I also loved the Chert, which are these layers of “microcrystalline or cryptocrystalline sedimentary rock material composed of silicon dioxid” that comes in these gorgeous colors of electric blues, aquas, greens, purples, whites, and clear in between the red stone layers. Some looking like cosmic galaxies and others like pieces of colored glass in interesting shapes.
This was a day of fun, relaxing, and games, as we took in the rays of the sun kissing our skin with tans and blushing glows and I literally let my hair down.
We played Hanged Man on the dunes (where Oompa Loompa – my phrase stole the winning words), played Rock/Paper/Scissors to see who would do the dishes (Dave lost), explored the rocks, watched the rapids and a few rafters and kayakers come down them, Dave did his yoga stretches, Clint made us fresh water with his filter, we created our group “cover photo,” and then relaxed with our warm, hearty meals on the dunes until the stars came out.
We then were dazzled by the incredible clarity we could see, watched interesting moving objects (some I knew were of another origin), and even got out my Sky Map app on my phone to check out where everything was located.
Speaking of phones….my new one is incredible. I didn’t take my regular camera because I didn’t want to lug something heavier. So I opted for my cell phone to capture moments, of which most of the photos you see here are from, minus some that Bean took with her camera. I put it in airplane mode for the trip, but kept it on all day to take photos of the journey, only shutting it down at dinner time until the next morning. It lasted the whole 4 days, and actually I had about 38% battery still remaining when we returned. So I’m pretty impressed with the battery. I have an Android G5S Plus.
Anyway, I digress.
We all had a great night sleeping at the River. How incredible to hear the rapids right outside our tent all night and then we even got a random, surprise rain in the middle of the night for about an hour or so, which added to the lovely sounds that lulled me to sleep. I slept well and dreamed well. Oh did I dream so much on this trip!
The next morning we woke with the confirmed decision that instead of remaining at the River for another full day and night, as we originally planned, that we would instead make our way back slowly so as to break up the last day’s ascent and get in another different campsite. We left after lunch, just before noon, enjoying a relaxed morning where Bean and I explored the Vishnu layers of incredible and potent stones and crystals amidst the pools of Colorado magick. We were sad to leave here and held in our hearts the memories.
Then we headed off to do our first 4-5 mile return. Doesn’t sound like much, but again it’s quite different in Canyon miles with backpacks in the mix.
This is where we encountered some of the more challenging parts to the hike with ascending and climbing and some more exposed edges to test my fears. We’d had 2 or 3 along the way down, but the way back would present more. Our entire trip was one big loop, which is something we decided upon, as a group at onset. We could either do a down and back the same way, or this big loop. We opted for the loop and the extra challenges of the trail, as it just felt right and didn’t seem like if we’re going to do something, not to get the fullest experience possible out of it. At least that’s my take on things….all in or not.
Here is where I began to really utilize my mental skills even more. I’ve always said and continue to feel that this kind of stuff isn’t a physical thing, but a mental one. And the heart comes into play into that, hand-in-hand, as your heart needs to be in it as well. When heart and mind come together, then anything is possible, despite physical challenges you may think you have.
And this was my take on this, which is why having never done it, felt I could and I did.
To be honest, although my quad muscles worked through soreness at night when I was still and slept (mostly the first 2 nights), I never felt them during the day while moving and the same went for anything else. Yes, I breathed hard through it all, but breath is important. And yes, it took continued effort, but that was my mind pushing me. I didn’t feel any discomfort in the process, only effort in mentally staying alert and pushing on.
The only physical things were my constantly running nose, which always happens whenever I do any kind of hiking – easy or hard – in any weather and any altitude (my body’s cleansing I believe), and the breathing. I was the master nose blower, and had my own hankie just for it. Boy, must I have moved energy through that beak! LOL!
But the instant I would stop, I immediately went back to normal and felt fine.
This truly marveled me, as I wondered how it would feel and if I’d be completely wiped after each push. But instead, it was like my body balanced out and then prepared for the next gusto. Incredible! I also immediately noted how each day I grew stronger and stronger. The first day having been most challenging to heave myself up the very big reaches my legs needed to lift me up and needing an extra push from behind now and then, and then the next day and the next, getting through it more on my own with only an occasional boost if I was at an edge and needing to make a big leap up so as to ensure my balance and safety. I’m not going to lie and say this was easy, as I definitely think you shouldn’t tackle something like this if you aren’t prepared in whatever fashion that means for you…physical training, mental training, or simply getting yourself in overall well-being shape. However, it was extraordinary to me that it wasn’t as hard as I imagined it could be. You see, although I do a lot of hiking, I’m not one to really enjoy the uphill parts of hiking. I do it, but I find it less fun. 🙂
But I’d have to say that the challenge and technicality of this uphill stuff in the Canyon really helped me rise to the occasion and tap into interesting parts of myself….my Cappy.
The technicality and the prospect of falling with the wrong move, really kept me alert and everything interesting. It’s hard to explain, but definitely it had to be all of my Capricorn energy lighting up and saying “finally! here you go accessing your placements and now we can show you what you’ve had inside of you all along to utilize!” Amazing!
And the comradery of our very encouraging, nurturing, supportive, and positive group made all the difference too. There was no rush and yet we moved right through it. There was only LOVE. And having those voices and energies of confidence and encouragement with me, really helped me dig deeper and bring out the best to match theirs. GOOD STUFF!
And this got me to campsite 3 and our last night in the Canyon.
This was another beautiful vista place that offered us a wonderful sunrise in the morning with the Moon. It is also where all of the lovely colorful Chert was.
AND this is where my inner goat interfaced with the Desert Bighorn Sheep.
Until then we hadn’t seen these although they and many other animals are around in the Canyon. We heard screeching Hawks (yay! one of my spirit guides and connected with Horus), saw Condors off in the distance, Raven greeted us by the River (I found a large feather there too, of which I’m not sure to which big bird it belongs yet), heard and saw lots of other smaller Birds, Lizards, a Tarantula, smelled Mountain Lion pee several times and the smell of Ungulates strongly at certain points (Mule Deer and Bighorn Sheep), AND the night at the river, Bean and I saw a ring-tailed cat (which was quite the gift!)
She and I had gone down to the river to pee before bed (hehe) and up above us she saw two eyes glowing. She mentioned it to me and I looked up and the ring-tailed cat emerged coming down closer instead of running off and hiding. This enabled us to catch glimpse of it fully and that long, cool ringed-tail. You can Google them to see what they look like. Really cute!
But back to my inner goat and the Bighorn Sheep. That last night while everyone was asleep, I woke up with the sense of something and then I heard footsteps outside. I knew it wasn’t Bean and Happy because they usually have their head lamps on if they get out, plus these foot steps were multiple and ongoing. First right to the left of our tent. Then to the back of our tent. Then in front and heading down the plateau and mountain. Then back to beside us. It would go fully quiet and then it started all over. I wanted so much to open the tent and peer out at them, but I was afraid I’d scare them off and so I sat there listening to the footsteps and breaths.
I knew in my heart they were the Bighorn. It gave me chills as I sat up in the darkness and listened and tried to connect. I felt so much that they had come to infuse me with their energy and prep me for the last day of those hardest miles we had left ahead. I knew this was no coincidence, but a divine encounter. One, best left in the mysterious abyss of the night where knowing was more powerful than proof.
And yet, proof is what I got the next morning that I wasn’t in fact making it up, as I found hoof prints around our tent and around the campsite and when I asked Bean and Happy if they heard anything, they concurred. Dave had been fast asleep. I hadn’t dare woken him, as he’d been getting the best sleep of his life the last three nights. Nature does a body good!
This was also the night Astrid came into my dreams 3 times. I’d definitely been amping up the communicating and connecting with her over our time away, but this was the first deliberate time she came into dream time. I knew she was connecting with me and through the dream symbolism, I pieced together that she was experiencing what I was and that she was taking on things along with me, sharing that she and I are one and she was with me all the way. It made me feel good that our bond was so strong and her letting me know there wasn’t anything she wasn’t aware of was enlightening as to her blossoming gifts she is sharing. The dream also indicated that she missed me a lot and then there was another part I’m still trying to decipher as to its symbolism or literal meaning. My sense is it in part indicated that she had two rabbit spirits that were with her providing her companionship while I was away. Yet, there is another level to it as well.
Anyway, I was grateful for the Bighorn, as I know this assisted with my fear of heights. All in all, I was really proud of myself and surprised myself with how well I did with this on the entire journey. I had my moments where the adrenaline rushed, my mental faculties were on all-time high to stay focused, and I had a second of scare-pause, but I moved right through it in a much easier and quicker way than I ever have in the past.
Quite a feat for me given I had a heavy pack and was climbing at times, as well as on some very exposed and slanted edges that really didn’t seem much like a trail. LOL! But I remained collected and mentally engaged, which if anything would have been more draining than the physical involved. I did the same process I do with skiing where I only focus on what’s in front of me and don’t take in all of the rest to distract. If I got to a drop off, I never looked down, just forward and focused on what to do to stay balanced and grounded.
Bean wanted to ensure I’d take in the views, so she’d point them out. I would only look when I had both feet planted firmly and my body positioned comfortably and anchored. I didn’t want anything throwing me off, nor did I get ahead of myself, speed up and take anything for granted, nor get cocky about what I’d accomplished. Every step was new and fresh and taken with the same presence as the last. I even invited any continued suggestions and guidance along the way in how to approach difficult areas, as this kind of engagement of the brain helped keep me fully embodied. Bean didn’t want to over-mother me, but I said to keep the dialogue going because it worked well. At the same time it seemed a good fit for her too, since she could practice her trail leading for the future. She and Happy are great guides! If you’re ever so lucky to have them, you will be blessed.
This got me through it. And it wasn’t all the time that I was faced with challenge, as it got easier and easier. I just kept up with the process, as it needs to become second nature. I’m retraining myself into my nature. And that is like muscle memory. You need to keep doing it and not take it for granted just because it works once. With consistency, it will become normalcy.
And the last stretch of a little over a mile up to the rim took my mental focus to get out that last push. Usually when I’m in that kind of push, I go quiet. This is when I’m digging deep and I become the energizer bunny that keeps chugging along. So I got through the last hard haul up with consistent momentum bringing me to the top and feeling quite full-circle.
There wasn’t a sense of exhaustion. On the contrary, there was a sense of revitalization. There was both a joy in accomplishment, but a sadness at the ending of a beautiful, memorable, and epic experience.
It definitely took me to a new level of inner connection and embodiment. And returning was an odd sense of reluctance mixed with excitement. Reluctant to leave this wonderful place and experience, but excited to see what’s next because of it.
There was also a sense of being yet again in a different reality than everyone we returned to and that timeline jump shifting into a different gear.
A sense of suspension in the moment, not knowing if you want or need to move forward and happy to just be in that void space.
Two mule deer greeted us at the top of the canyon and on our drive to dinner there was a very large herd of Elk and like a hundred or more congregating Ravens, like I have never seen before, all together in one area. It was odd, ominous, but also super cool! Everything felt different. Had we’d entered some alternate reality we really wanted to keep moving into?
We did continue on though, enjoying our evening back with yummy food and rest before road tripping it to Las Vegas, where we would be flying home out of. There we indulged on vegan delicacies, danced to move the energy, laughed so hard, played, walked a lot, and integrated back into a world that was no longer familiar, but like a muscle memory, became easier to return to when infused with lightness of heart.
Thank you GC for helping me to merge the parts of myself needed for the path I’ve chosen right now, for anchoring in my Cappy energy, and supporting me in the best way possible to move through my fear of heights and learn new processes for conquering any mountain! Thank you also for opening the door to your mysteries and hidden treasures, of which I know I’ll discover more of in the future. It’s no wonder why Happy and Bean love you so! You truly are magnificent!
Upon returning home we saw another coyote in the fields before heading up the mountain and coyote tracks on our driveway. I’ve already settled in, but find my surroundings both different and extra nurturing. I immediately heard my closet call for a Spring cleaning – perfect timing – and sang a cosmic lullaby to Astrid, as I held her close and she tranced into peaceful unity with me. I’ve been enjoying the expansion of a new book I started reading since onset of the trip (a new thing for me who hardly reads these days other than the book I wrote) and am extra charged to finish that book this month, also just in time for Spring.
I’ve reflected on how amazing it is to have such incredible friends and soul family with me at this time of my life. The kind most of my life I never knew the experience of and now am seeing that only that which is most resonant and reflective of my heart is what I am surrounded by. This to include my dear Astrid who has really shifted in mirror to mom, since my return home. Our connection is beyond beautiful. There’s so much to be grateful for and Dave and I talked about all of this upon return home, reviewing our lives now and all that is in them.
And Bean and Happy are definitely treasures more valuable than any crystal or discovery one can unearth. It was definitely bitter sweet to say farewell for now, after our incredible 8 days with them.
But for now, they go off to live out one of their dreams on their bucket list – working at the Grand Canyon for at least the season – and we return to the next leg of our paths to see where and when they will merge again.
To you two, THANK YOU! Thank you for sharing your love of the GC with us, sharing your time, and letting us see through your eyes. Thank you for making this next leap in my/our lives possible. I’d explore any canyon or mountain with you!
And mountains are what I foresee ahead. There will be many, but as my Bighorn Sheep/Cappy friends have assured me, I have everything I need within myself to do what ever I decide I want to. There’s no mountain too tall or too scary for T!
In the end, a new beginning was written and once again I find myself both filled with gratitude and also in wonder of what I will say “yes” to next.
(If you made it this far, thank you for coming along the adventure with me, as I integrate it all through sharing. As a writer my biggest problem isn’t writer’s block, but not being able to stop writing!
May the spirit within these images of the Grand Canyon lift you and reach depths that allow you to soar. Happy Spring Equinox and Renewal! Or as Astrid would say, Hoppy Spring!)
Just a short post, as I have a busy day ahead and much to prepare before heading out to Arizona tomorrow. This will be my last post for the next two weeks, as I likely won’t be back to blogging until the week of the 19th, since we’ll be immersed in family time in Tucson, then completely off-grid in the Grand Canyon backpacking, and finishing off with a contrasting celebration of vegan food extravaganzas, massages, and dancing in Vegas, briefly, before returning home. I have no idea what is in store, as this is a whole new adventure, but I am very excited to see what unfolds and is activated from this epic journey.
This is a photo of me at the rim of the Canyon in June of 2015 – nearly 3 years ago. I’ve visited the GC several times over the course of my life, since I was a little girl, but this will be the very first time venturing into the womb of her mystery. Seems appropriate and aligned timing to happen now and I have a feeling it is the first of more of these adventures to come, as the future likely holds some longer treks in there and lots more backpacking in general, since now we own our own equipment we got for this adventure.
The journey of life is a constantly surprising spiral of creative possibilities.
I’m going to miss my sweet Astrid, but know she’s in good hands with a faery friend who will care for her needs while I am away. This is the first time we are apart since she came home to me Summer Solstice of last year. I’m giving her extra love and letting her know I’ll be back, so she doesn’t think I’m abandoning her. I’m glad she will have someone with her daily and that I’ve created a magick realm to nourish her while I’m away. Also grateful for her telepathic powers, so she can check in with me and vice versa along the journey.
I was able to get half way done with my very last round of editing on my book, which feels right since trips always shift energy, so finishing it upon return will be perfect. Then things will be taking a new and fast turn in the process and opening to me having others read it for the first time, as until now no one has really had any inkling of what it’s about, nor been involved with any part of the writing process. Fun and kind of exciting suspenseful! Just like this trip to the GC!
Anyway, I want to wish everyone a wonderful couple of weeks. I will likely be able to post some quick things while away, on my Instagram, when not in the Canyon, but haven’t time for blog musings. So if you’re on there, you may see some shares of things leading up to it all and after.
Other than that, I wish everyone hoppy trails along your individual journeys these next couple of weeks and look forward to touching back in with you upon return! Much love and creative magick always!
