Another cycling through of powerful energies is upon us with this Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in Capricorn – just one of the many astrological influences going on right now. With this Moon we are working with the energies of Capricorn and Cancer – think sensitive, open heart, and intuitive trust meets wise discernment, inner strength, and exercise of boundaries.
Emotions are raw at these Full Moons and heightened by Cancer’s energy right now. Capricorn steps in to help navigate these feelings more effectively and with a mature wisdom that helps you to harness determination and clarity to review things from a more balanced perspective. Then the intuition that is revealed doesn’t just sit idle, but now has a way of coming forth into manifestation.
This photo was taken of me on Sunday while we were on an adventurous hike. I love the merging of water, snow, and ice with mountainous terrain, rock, and greenery emerging. It speaks to me so much of this Capricorn and Cancer balancing made tangible, which was also part of the journey to get to the lakes at top – using feelings, intuition, determination, responsible action, and wise discernment to navigate the way.
I also love how my shoulders are in perfect alignment with the mountain behind me – almost creating an expansive wing-like essence, but one of solidity. My stance is grounded and anchored, and yet my energy feels open, free and flowing like the waters surrounding me.
If it’s hard to imagine what the merging of Cancer and Capricorn would feel and look like this, at least for me, helps me to envision it. And the experience helped me to embody it more.
It’s incredible how things happen like that.
Messages of this Moon speak to not relinquishing that inner heart and spirit knowing in place of what others or society are trying to impose as decisions for you.
Nurturing more courage and strength and surrounding yourself with more resonant spirits that align with you and help you to steer a more aligned course for yourself will likely be beneficial, especially if you feel challenged by doing it on your own.
It’s a time for discovering, embracing, and realizing your worth at the core of your being and that it’s not determined or defined by anything else but that.
Perhaps you might be feeling the desire to withdraw, but these are times to expand further.
The only true enemy you have is when you fight against yourself or give in to the perpetuation of collective struggles and patterns running the show.
There are some who may find moving on from experiences and people that feel oppressive will be supportive for this. And many others I’ve noticed are exiting in more extreme ways, as it feels timely for them to simply move on altogether.
It can be challenging and that’s why having some kind of support system – whether friends, family, like-minded kindred spirits, animal companions, loved ones, or a strong relationship to Nature or the nature within you can help.
Peace can be found through an understanding of non-duality – that there is a place where all things meet in the heart.
And speaking of hearts, I posted this share along with the photo above on my Instagram page and it felt aligned for these energies. I’m resharing it here, as I know many of you aren’t on Instagram.
Surrender to the courage of your wild heart – it has a power very rare.
Surrender to the guidance of your heart and take courageous steps to be more vulnerable and connect more intimately and deeply with yourself, others, and all of life around you. Your life will shift immensely in reflection to these commitments.
When the heart is continually being conditioned only by the mind, its voice and inspiration become stifled and confused, even when you actively try to engage it.
When you allow the mind’s influence to overpower the heart’s, you place limitations on the extraordinary source and well-spring of energy, vibrancy, guidance, intuition, and inspiration it can provide naturally. Not to mention, you hinder the joy and extraordinary experiences that could infuse your life if you had a clear path to your heart.
It’s not that we abandon the mind, but integrate a healthier union between it and the heart, with heart leading and being supported and channeled most effectively.
A wild heart is one that operates naturally, instinctively, and freely, providing direction from your authentic self and from the deepest passions and desires that stem from that truth. This is hidden between layers of “ideas” you have about yourself and the conditioned “desires” that you have come to learn.
Your wild heart will lead you back to your essence, and toward real liberation, satisfaction, harmony, and balance at the core of your being.
Be willing to face and lovingly let go of old mental and emotional patterns, and the conditioning that reins you in from experiencing your own wild, free heart – taking time to repattern yourself back to who you really are.
It’s not a simple journey at first, but it does become increasingly easy when consistently and actively engaged.
Afterall, it IS simply you returning to natural harmony. That may seem like a foreign experience right now, but it’s the most natural experience there is. You’ve simply forgotten this.
It’s interesting that in the last several days a few new animals have shown up for us here. Yesterday we had two long-tailed weasels visit our deck, which we’ve never seen. And on our bike ride, I saw a dead baby porcupine alongside the bike path. A few days ago I found a dead mouse on the forest trail behind our house. And swallowtail butterflies and large, chubby bumble bees (I like to call mini bear cubs with wings) galore have been visiting and dancing around me.
I didn’t get to see this one myself, but a friend had come to pick us up the other day and she said she saw a grown rabbit on our lawn. This made me happy because I’ve been wondering about Blueberry and his mom – the rabbit family from last year – and this made me feel that Blueberry was grown up and still making this his home.
These are just the more unusual of sightings to add to the array of daily regular ones, although I have a thing for finding all of the dead animals.
I also found five – my favorite number – Steller’s Jay feathers on Saturday…one after another. I actually “knew” I’d find five – even though they were all spread out over 7 miles.
The symbolism and energies of them are also telling and feel aligned with things.
Cycles continue and transformation is part of life. Best to flow with it, rather than fight it.
There are a lot of retrogrades also happening right now and these always lend to it being a beneficial time for reviewing and clarifying your life and life focuses.
What has been running the show for you?
What are your choices rooted in?
You have opportunity to change that story and live from a renewed connection to your inner heart’s guidance that now has the strong support system it has always craved, to do what it wants most.
This is manifesting from an open heart and it comes from the union of energies working together to strengthen each other.
This is one I really resonate with (having a Capricorn Ascendant, Mars in Capricorn, and North Node in Capricorn), has taught me some of the most empowering lessons in my life (which continues more and more), and feel it can be a potent one for collective shifts into a healthier way of living with responsible love and support of well being for the highest good of all. The energy of this Full Moon in Capricorn helps you to remember and reclaim your authenticity and the truth of who you always have been beneath the conditioning.
A time for focus on integrating ethereal essence with our earthly humanness.
We can reflect on the truth within and the hidden aspects of our shadow self to bring reality to the forefront and illusions reckoned with.
Our emotions have much to share and rather than keep them and our fears locked inside wreaking havoc, we have the grounded ability to work them out and face them with confident practicality.
The goat is a persevering force who can take on any mountain and has the calculated precision to tackle the most challenging of terrains. They can scale anything that seems insurmountable, making the impossible, possible.
A powerful time for making fortified, practical decisions on new directions in your life and not allow yourself to be guided by the old emotional patterning that keeps you in victim mode and at the mercy of others, while depleting your life force and ultimately being of no good to anyone in that state, let alone to yourself and the dreams you desire manifesting.
Look within as to what kind of life you want to be creating and living and then move confidently in the direction of those dreams, exercising new personal boundaries, responsible love, and confident trust and belief in these changes being implemented in service to a higher good your emotional attachments and conditioning can’t recognize.
Allow Capricorn energy to help you believe in you again, love and honor YOUR self worth, and draw upon your resources to manifest productive use of your gifts that will benefit not only your personal well being, but ultimately serves the collective from this healthy vantage point of grounded and balanced harmonizing of the emotional and physical environments within.
We are quickly approaching both a Full Moon and Saturn turning direct. This Saturday, July 12th illuminates a Capricorn Full Moon and Sunday, July 20th is the end of Saturn’s Retrograde.
I’ve been seeing a lot of Capricorn themed energies emerging recently and this doesn’t surprise me, since synchronous alignments always unfold when we are following the energy in our bodies. So I find this weekend’s upcoming Full Moon and Saturn going direct (Saturn rules Capricorn by the way) to tie in with a lot in my own personal frequency field I’ve been immersed in.
I’ve been engaged in some Astrological explorations for myself with emphasis on my North Node in Capricorn (I also happen to have a Capricorn Ascendent), and my current tattoo design client I’ve just completed a design for, also just happens to be a Capricorn. That felt particularly potent given everything and there was no surprise I had such an immediate connection with this person.
But it wasn’t actually until after I was nearly finished with his piece that I smiled to myself once again getting the Cosmic humor of life lived “for” the world – not simply just living “in” the world. When that is in alignment, things just magickally unfold.
Speaking of dates, I also found July 20th’s Saturn going direct to be quite synchronous as well, given that is the day the retreat I’m hosting in Bimini starts. I had no idea of this when I chose the dates. I simply followed guidance received. I’ve later discovered also how some people have some ideas about July 20th pointing to other energetic or literal things unfolding on the collective scene.
I don’t know what will transpire or not, but I can say that Saturn’s shift brought a smile to my face when I learned it fell on the onset of the retreat. The retreat also ends on July 25th, right at the culmination of the New Moon the next day of the 26th.
So once again, there seems to be some beautifully supportive energy of clarity, opening, and release for new beginnings all tied into the week’s time and focused work we’ll be doing in Bimini’s energetic vortex.
You can’t make this stuff up, which is why I love learning about things after, rather than trying to figure it out and orchestrate it.
Trusting and acting upon what you feel within your body and heart, brings about the greatest joy and wisdom regardless of the actual results.
My feeling is that everything is an opportunity and gift. I’ve never looked at things to be negative – just challenging us to rise to the occasion and to call in more of who you really are. So things like Saturn going Retrograde I feel we could all benefit more by viewing it in this regard, rather than greeting it with an “Uh oh!” that heralds pre-determined self-sabotaging dread, anguish, fear, and defeat.
I do know it’s been challenging for many, but I think you’ll agree when the challenges are moved through, that you’ll find yourself much lighter, freer, and empowered. This is usually the process of change.
When Saturn goes Retrograde, this is a time period for deliberate slowing down (which is why things seem to be delayed), really working with your inner wisdom, being more present with self and others as you communicate, taking stock of things in your life, reexamining, reorganizing, and making adjustments for improvements. If you meet Saturn as a partner that is helping to hold you accountable to yourself and others, you can utilize its energetic support to build more solid foundations and responsibility to your path. Saturn helps you find direction, to restructure your life with values that truly reflect who you are, and provides you the time to do these things. Otherwise, you might just keep wandering aimlessly and continue down the same paths and patterns without end.
So rather than see Saturn as limiting, see Saturn as the catalyst to unlimitedness. A friend helping you to complete what you’ve started or what you dream of, and to become more aware of your own personal power and place in the world. Perhaps it is society you allow to limit you, or countless other outside sources.
But Saturn is not the culprit. Saturn is simply the light bulb illuminating where you are limiting yourself and how you can embody more personal integrity into your life.
You are much more capable than you think you are and you have the ability to do astounding things. Saturn will help to lift veils and blinders so that you see what is really going on around you. This may seem like Saturn is making things happen to you because you suddenly are experiencing what has been hidden or ignored, but on the contrary, Saturn reveals to you what you are allowing into your experience simply by bringing it to your attention.
Wisdom and strength are potential gifts to embrace from Saturn as well, but you will have to do the work.
And there are gifts in store for you when you do.
You have the ability to redefine boundaries, reassess commitments, and step more into your power when Retrogrades pass through. Opportunity is knocking through the lessons that arise to help alleviate you from frustration, confinement, and feelings of entrapment.
Whether it’s a Saturn Retrograde period or not, it’s beneficial to look at your challenges with new perspectives. Saturn is just one of your guiding posts to help you along with that process, if you in fact aren’t already doing so.
And when you do, you will not find these time periods not to be something to fret, but rather welcomed time to do some inner house cleaning. If you utilize the Retrograde time period as such, then when Saturn goes direct, you’ll find things catapulting forward with ease and grace.
So hopefully you can take the remaining days to go within and make friends with what the Retrograde has brought to your attention.
And as for the Capricorn Full Moon approaching, this will add to the feeling of coming to a kind of crossroads with things. We have the watery Sun’s energy in Cancer balancing the Earthy Moon’s energy of Capricorn. Full Moons are about the “harvest” and completion, whereas New Moons are about beginnings. This Full Moon is also a Super Moon, which means the Moon is closest to the Earth and in direct alignment with Sun and Earth and thus adds an extra potent intensity.
So with that more authoritarian, sometimes known as “karmic” Saturn energy, we are still taking our time to get through our “stuff”. And the message Capricorn knows well is “change or be changed”.
The Capricorn Full Moon brings us a period of searching for deeper meaning in the things we are engaged in, including emotional and professional levels of our lives. Integrity is a highlight at this time and looking at how not only does something serve your personal joy, but also has the best interest of the highest good included, will bring about successes. You may feel the need to question things, manage your life better, become more determined and focused, start doing things that put your dreams into concrete actualization, and feel the need to create greater sense of personal security and stability from the inside out.
Since Cancer is emotional and need-based, it is the feminine, inner, home and family, nurturing mother, receptive energy. Capricorn, on the other hand, is wisdom based, responsible, self-sufficient, purpose-focused, goal driven, your success in the world, and the spiritual father energy.
So this Full Moon will have us asking ourselves where we are out of balance in these regards and where we may be suffering at the over-focus of one over the other.
Ask yourself “What do I need to feel stronger, more healthy, centered, and secure?”
And then realize that there is truly nothing outside of you that can feed these. All that you need is within and you CAN satisfy your own needs. It’s time to stop chasing needs and start feeling into yourself as to how you can fulfill those holes you feel.
Become the driver of your own life and learn to have greater self love and healthy self focus that understands how this is simultaneously service-minded for the highest good benefiting everyone and everything around you.
Saturn and Capricorn embody authoritative energy, but this is to teach you to empower yourself to become your own authority of your life. And as mentioned, they also help you to understand your limitations with the perspective of how they may actually support you into your strength, while acting from your greatest personal integrity.
I’ve always felt that the things we fear have the potential to be our greatest teachers and gifts.
Last Chance To Join Us in Bimini Plus This Months’ Moon and Grand Trine Energies Supporting the Journey
This is it! We’re now officially 8 days away from our magical Summer Solstice Rhythm of Renewal Bimini Retreat and actually just one week away until the group will be in air on our way to Florida to be there for the morning flight on the 16th to our island home for the week.
I am SO excited to be getting back. It’s kind of snuck up on me actually. I’ve been feeling the waters, dolphins, and energies calling me and also cannot wait to be reunited with my soul sister, Jenny, and soul brothers, Philip and Brian, at the ARC and the new family that will be joining us. It’s going to be such a lovely week and so much of it is being divinely guided by heart, so that the week’s focuses are creating itself by the energy of the people coming.
A few of you have been on the fence and waiting to make decisions. Unfortunately, this is now the time to finalize things, as we are putting in the final menu ideas for the week (very excited about our really “light” simple wholeness we are focusing on for the food to accompany this week, the energies, and the group’s needs) and placing the food order Monday morning for all the goodness to bring in to the island. I also have to put in my last charter reservations by then as well.
So Sunday is the last day to confirm any last minute registering. If you have any questions, specific needs, or would like assistance to make things happen, message me this weekend so we can make sure you don’t miss the plane.
Another cool aspect to add to this week’s energy, besides the Summer Solstice on the 21st we will be celebrating, is the fact that we are in the energy leading up to what astrologers call a super supermoon! I only became aware of this about a week ago. I always love surprises. 🙂
There are three full moons in 2013 that fit the definition of a supermoon – one in May, June, and July. However, it is the June 22-23 full moon that is the most “super” of them. Super-duper even! LOL. June 23rd’s full moon is at 6:32 am CDT in the U.S., so for many the moon appears about equally full in the June 22nd sky, as it will on the 23rd.
We will be in Bimini June 16th – June 22nd. 😉 The 21st being the Solstice.
The crest of this full moon is both the closest and largest of the year and will take place within an hour of the time of perigee – the moon’s closest point to Earth. This will not happen again until August 2014. So this supermoon (by astrologer’s definition) is also called a “perigee full moon” (by astronomers) and will be Earth’s closest encounter this year with the moon June 22-23. Therefore the moon will look larger than ever and will of course effect nature’s rhythms, tides, and the energetic frequencies we are feeling.
Wonder how this large moon is going to look in Bimini over the water?! And I love that we’ll be building up to so much amazingly supportive and potent energy again this week.
I also read that this month’s full moon is called the Full Strawberry Moon ( I love strawberries 🙂 ) by the Algonquin tribes who saw it as a time to gather ripening strawberries. It is also known as the Rose Moon and the Hot Moon.
It will also be a Capricorn Full Moon (get ready for tearing down and building new structures, crystallizing things into form, taking action, coming to terms with things, understanding the depth of emotions to move on, providing insights on how to ground, organize, and materialize things, accepting personal responsibility, dipping into your strength well to realize achieving inner peace is possible and necessary to your process, uncovering fears…all to help bring to culmination things on a personal level).
June also has a Grand Water Trine of the signs Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces flowing around. All about emotional sensitivity, creative flow, action born of faith, innate authenticity that has been hidden now revealed, reflection, intuition, deeper levels of awareness and alignment with your truth, connecting with things greater than ourselves, listening to divine guidance, lifting of veils and bringing visions and inspiration down to earth in practical ways that we can manifest the dreams now – simply put – tapping into the magick is ever-more accessible.
It’s no wonder people are feeling it lately! This is some powerful stuff we continue to move through this year, but so potently full of potential if you can harness the energy to your benefit! Wow! I’m ready to swim the seas, are you?
Sending you all peace and love to your hearts as you continue the journey of life this month into greater depths and intimacy with you and all of creation.
If you have questions or would like to register, don’t forget to do so today or tomorrow! You can email at firstname.lastname@example.org to assist.
