This year has been very different for everyone, shifting even the way many of us celebrate the holidays. While distancing became the passing norm, experiences that invited our creativity became the connective new.
Although 2020 dealt a mixed bag of surprises, one of the key themes Dave and I deepened into was how precious and fragile life and every moment is. So finding ways to make the most of everything and seeing only what there was to be grateful for, kept hitting home as the important reminder.
This year saw us sharing online gatherings with friends and family afar that we otherwise never would have had so much time with.
And personally, this year saw me being able to support and connect with so many incredible souls with online classes and events, that otherwise would never have felt possible. This in turn opened me to much more expansive possibilities I once had felt the doors close on. It also helped to raise the vibrations for others that were ready to take the next leap on their journey – and that simultaneously helps the collective.
Portals are becoming more evident as the veils continue lifting. A new doorway of experience is available as the collective shifts into accelerated being. When I’m in nature, I can feel the layers of richness evolving before my eyes and the possibilities stir under the surface.
This year, while challenging for so many, has offered us an incredible fertile ground for new growth and potential. Where we may have felt freedoms infringed upon, we had the ability to deepen into the most important freedoms no one could ever take away from us – and these include the way we choose to create our reality through perception and reflection and how we experience our inner world that no one can master for us, but ourselves.
We also have always had the music of our hearts to listen to, and our imaginations where we can harness creative energy toward manifesting our hopes and dreams. These are gifts of our spirit in body where we are always free to roam and explore.
It’s one reason I feel it’s important to never lose our innocence, because it’s in that purity of curiosity, wonder, and belief, that so much is possible.
This year we have been spending the holidays on our own. It’s been a year of feeling the connection and love, despite not being with others because that is a bond that can’t be broken by distance.
Love transcends all boundaries and I know this very well with the passing of so many who have been the most dearest to me. There truly is no separation within the vortex of our heart bridges.
Usually we’d be at my parents’ home celebrating Christmas, if we aren’t away on travels. This year we are having an intimate holiday instead, which goes with the theme of our year that also included a wedding on our own.
On some level this feels important for something we have yet to see the why’s of, and even if that’s just about anchoring more into our embodiment, essence, empowerment, and new relationship to everything and everyone through the relationship we have nurtured within over 2020, then that is good enough for me.
If it’s simply to know love more through the dance of our own parts merging as one, then this feels rich with possibility for experiencing a more expansive kind of love with all of creation.
Although we are sharing a sweet Christmas at home, I did get to have a wonder-filled visit exploring my parents’ Christmas realm that is the most elaborate of all years yet.
I didn’t photograph everything, but since it’s been kind of a tradition to take you on a journey through my parents’ ever-childlike-hearts that mirror my own, I thought I’d share some peeks into their gingerbread wonderland that can warm anyone’s heart.
The photos you have seen throughout the post so far are of their creative imaginations come to life.
My parents know how to create warmth and magick all throughout the year and it’s no wonder that I have followed in their footsteps with my own sacred space, as you saw in yesterday’s share of my Wonderland room.
The next photos are of my dear Queen Astrid enjoying her Solstice, Christmas Eve, and Christmas surprises, as every Faery Rabbit Queen deserves sparkly fun to tickle her heart too.
And it’s also part of my path to share how every soul is important, has consciousness, intelligence, feelings, personality, and their own purpose in life.
I may not live any kind of conventional life, nor do I have any resemblance to that kind of family or cocreative business partnerships, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
It’s taken me a lifetime to fully embody, in peace and transparency, my human expression of essence. And while this feels like the beginning still, it’s pure harmony to me.
My dear soul mate in rabbit body – Astrid – The Queen of this realm and my heart, keeps me on my toes, centered, focused, and balanced, while helping to channel the work that we do.
Everything I do, create, and move through me is all done with a Magick Rabbit by my side.
“Creating life as a work of art with a Magick Rabbit by my side” isn’t my motto for nothing. It’s the reality of my life. It’s who I am.
And I wouldn’t have it any other way.
This is me in my harmony, heart zone.
And the Winter Solstice and Christmas season is part of that harmony, heart zone…the pieces of me that are most meaningful, find ease and grace during this sparkly and enchanted season of pure potential.
Sending out magickal wishes, sprinkles of pixie dust, and bunny nose twitches of energetic potency and love!
May your hearts grow in depth and size with each embracive breath taken.
Astrid has been both extra loving outward AND open to and willing to ask for extra love for herself these days. And while she has been demonstrating this, I’ve noticed myself turning even more attention to self-nurturing than I already do and hearing from others who are finding circumstances and cycles making it essential that they, too, turn the love light back on to themselves as well.
The above photo shows her giving to, and receiving from her calming and powerful master amethyst rabbit friend. She spends a lot of time tuning in with, giving velvety tongue kisses to, and laying next to her crystals, to include the three giant quartz you see to her right – the golden and pinky lilac quartz from Tahoe and the smaller one in front from Montana – found right after Joy transitioned, on one of the most magickal Faery hikes ever not far from her place of departure.
Nurturing is a vital element of well-being, growth, productivity, and ability to thrive. There is much our hearts long to do and give out, but we simply can’t only be flowing energy in one direction. We know this concept, but do we put it into action?
If we don’t slow down, many times we find ourselves forced to.
If we get stuck in our heads, our hearts will cry out.
If we’re tired, but keep pushing, our bodies give out.
If something needs our attention, it’s sure to get it.
If we overextend our energy, the boundaries we haven’t exercised become strict teachers drawing the lines for us.
If we simply need a pause or extra softening to ensure well-being, our emotions may feel extra sensitive so that we nurture more tenderness to ourselves.
While Astrid and I have been re-evaluating and redirecting ourselves, I’ve noticed that both the changes that are formulating and my own body’s rhythms are needing extra attention that involves even more self-care and self-love.
As I get closer to 50, hormones are shifting, more solidity in myself is forming, and more questions come up as to the life I/we want to create for the time remaining.
This creates more reflection and sensitivity that desires a lot of love be directed within and Astrid is mirroring this with the evolution of her growth as well. This brings the two of us in even stronger bond together, as we navigate this new cycle we’re stepping into.
A new level of awareness and embodied response seems to be in motion.
I find myself implementing more self-care routines, listening to my body’s needs, and creating greater clarity of alignment.
Sleep has always been important to me on many levels, but lately I find myself so enamored with that time of day when I lay my head on my pillow. Although the day is full of enriching things, I so look forward to that time of restoration and dream work at night. It feels like it’s own elixir and healing supplement.
As I have been writing this, Astrid has been to my left suspended in a state of meditation – quite literally. I’ve never seen her do this before, but she was in a position where her head was bowed down in a curve fully toward her heart, like the neck of a graceful swan, and has held it there for minutes on end, with eyes in a tranced deep state and her not budging.
Her shape also creates the effect of one half of a heart.
Synchronously, I was feeling how she and I seem to have been expressly made for each other as a reflection and other half, while I then noticed her in this suspended position.
She always knows what I’m thinking – or rather, she simultaneously sends me the message that becomes my own thought.
We are definitely two halves of a shared heart.
And that seems to be her message to me.
We are mirroring the needs and awareness our hearts speak.
And all of the love and special nurturing and understanding I extend to her, ultimately is about touching my own heart that she reflects.
I believe her message is simple.
We may think we are only feeling strongly compelled to give to and nurture others and what touches our hearts out there, but even if we don’t ever want to look further into what anything means, ultimately the connection we share to everything is glowing brightly from our heart within.
Perhaps that’s why so many healers, therapists, counselors, teachers, creatives, visionaries, activists, etc. are compelled by helping others or a cause.
Some call it the wounded healer, but it’s simply a desire to love ourselves as the reflection we love out there.
And when we love out there, to realize how much we love what’s in here.
It’s walking through life with full open heart, flowing in and out.
It shifts how we respond to life simply carrying the awareness of connection.
This felt like a perfect photo to share for this very short, but deeply heartfelt, post in celebration and gratitude of having reached 1 million visitors on my blog. The symbolism of Geese reflects what this blog represents to me and is a conduit for…my commitment to responsible sharing as a dedication to the collective, as the energy moves through me, and understanding how that is a threading of everyone’s contributions, energy, time, insights, and reflections that have taken place here since I first started my blog, and of the experiences I could never have solely on my own because it takes teamwork to co-create together. The worldwide web makes so much possible, even if it also has its streams of non-productive use, in bringing us all together across oceans, lands, and beyond, which is truly one of its beautiful and valuable gifts. I celebrate all of you with this post and share my gratitude for being here at this time to anchor in new realities.
I just love Geese and as I’ve shared before, their medicine and message is that of teamwork, comradery, fellowship, dedication, committed responsibility, the balance of knowing when to lead or follow, being compassionate keepers of the community, embodiment of the sacred circle and sanctity of the cycles of life, and never leaving one of their own behind for any reason (they will stay with the sick and injured until they are either well again, or to support them as they transition) – that last one sure reflects what took place for me on Sunday. 😉 Goose LOVE in action!
Thank you to everyone for being a part of the journey….mine, yours, OURS.
(Photo from our Magick Bus RV adventure in Jasper National Park, Alberta)
A little update and GIANT thank you….I don’t know how many of you follow along on my Instagram or Facebook pages, but I wanted to send out a big hug and loving gratitude to everyone who has lovingly and sweetly been supportive of my journey and the material that I share there and here on my blog, who has followed along with my own evolution, as well as for all of the support over the years of the channeled work I’ve had the honor to share with so many too. I am a big believer in sharing gratitude and how important that is to deepen into within yourself, but also in acknowledging the little and big things multi-universally and individually in connection with others that truly is an expression of LOVE manifest.
I/we never know the full reach of the things we do and put out there, but doing what moves us most in our hearts is the reason that fuels it all, nonetheless. At least that’s how I feel about it.
I’m always deeply moved and surprised when I do receive a message of gratitude or a personal share in relation to something I may have done or said, as it reflects the circle of connection and woven thread that runs through everything we embody, share, and do and its direct effects, regardless of our thinking nothing we do matters.
This is also why I feel the importance of being present daily with how I’m relating to others and any situation and how I might be able to challenge myself to arise to even greater energetic experiences with my responses spoken or unspoken.
I had written a thank you on my Facebook page several days ago, but wanted to share thanks here too, as I also noticed that this blog I’ve been lovingly cultivating is nearing 1 million visitors shortly and that really struck a chord too on many levels.
Since first sharing in any of these forums, so much has changed and it’s like so many versions of myself have been embodied and shed over and over – all done very publicly, as my process of moving through fears and my desire to reflect transparency and love of every step of the journey, as well as to support more courageous and authentic ways of living from the love and creative alchemy of Spirit moving through you.
Because things are shifting in focus for me, and as you know I’ve released much of what I used to do in order to embrace what is here and now moving through me “wanting” to be brought forth, I’ve joked to friends that I’ve felt like I’ve renounced the old. This to include older versions of me and have lovingly released these things as no longer the expressions I feel to carry forward because they no longer fit AND they in fact feel more like completion and tying up loose ends of things from my soul history, rather than now versions needing to be anchored anew.
That’s not to mean that things couldn’t at some point circle round in new versions if I felt so called, as I often see and acknowledge that energy when and if it arises, but they are not present currently and the more I’ve released things, the stronger the new has been anchoring inside me.
Anyway, I will eventually be giving everything a face lift and “new” updated version to match the shifts, but it will take a little time since that’s an involved process and right now am needing to follow the steps that come first.
So, soon there will be a new website and focal point, consolidation of things, and my social media and blog will also reflect these expressions.
It all excites me, although yes, will be a LOT of work and dedication. Luckily it comes from a place of love and essence channeling through so that makes it fun and extremely rewarding.
In terms of Facebook, a few years back I had to create a new Facebook page (because your personal profile pages are only allowed a certain limit of connections that I reached) and I intended the new page to also have more of a focus of sharing my life’s work and path more in depth. I haven’t been able to keep up with updating it is often as I would like or in the way that I’ve wanted, as life’s journey has taken me into times of needing to channel my energy into balancing life and supporting shifts with my creative output and new paths emerging – this leading to not posting a lot there in general, especially when I’ve taken breaks from online. And yet, so many have still lovingly supported that channel and I thank you so much for that.
However, in the coming months and forward I will be more regularly posting things and new material there that I hope people who follow will enjoy. It will root my new focuses and embody my life’s love and greatest passions/joys to share with you, just as I do here as well – to me, my most important work yet.
If you are on Facebook and have interest and haven’t already been following there, I would like to invite you to my page: https://www.facebook.com/taniamarieartist/
And in the meantime, if you’re on Instagram, I’ve been posting the most there since it’s quick and a creatively fun outlet (this will also reflect the upcoming transitions in months to come though) and would love to connect with and follow along with your posts there too. You can find me on Instagram as taniamarieartist.
I hope you’ll find the changes to be inspirational and enjoyable, and as always, please do pass your own links along and/or connect with me on both Instagram and Facebook, as I love supporting other visionaries, artists of all genres, healers, inspirational souls, nature lovers, earth guardians, cosmic travelers, compassion ambassadors, harmony weavers, people following their hearts, courageously paving new paths, and speaking their truths.
I’m excited for where the journey is headed and although things in the world and some realities seem “off” and challenging, I still believe there is much evolving in incredible ways and new realities are being birthed with our learning to harness these energies for the highest good of all concerned.
Keep doing your part and coming from your heart.
In love, gratitude, and creative alchemy.
“Silence is a source of great strength.” ~Lao Tzu
I’ve continuously found myself being in silence and craving it more and more. This has led to an increased time spent in nature as well where I can hear the whispers carried in every breath of life around me. And when not outdoors, I enjoy a good portion of time being and working in silence, listening to the music of my cosmic heart. I’ve always been one to listen silently and not talk much when around people, unless of course I’m teaching a workshop. However, over time, even that has incorporated more silent presence, as I’ve created space and encourage others to lead and share, acting more as a facilitator to move the energy and support empowerment.
It’s interesting to reflect on my past when I was more insecure and without the confidence or courage I experience today, and remember that even then others were reflecting the power of my silence and presence, which took me time to understand consciously.
I would often hear later that people would share things about me to others, or be grateful for something I did or said, when in actuality I NEVER ONCE spoke a word. At least not through my mouth and voice, but in fact I was speaking through the silent presence I’d embraced from very young and telepathy that comes through in that state of being.
Silence has an energy to it that is like no other source and it is from this stillness that you find everything you will ever need and all that you forgot you knew.
It’s important to go out of your way to cultivate silence in this modern world where it practically ceases to exist, as it is invaluable. When you create even 5 minutes of silence each day, it will change your experience and you will become aware of just how much the external stimuli is affecting you. All of this external noise creates internal noise, as our minds become more restless and active. Silence and inner stillness will lead to an experience of wholeness and happiness that comes from experiencing the divine inside you and conversely, also the divine inside everything and everyone else.
As we learn to experience this state of inner peace consistently and consciously, we recognize more what is our energy and others’ energy and get stronger at being able to create and duplicate that same inner peace and silence in the middle of any situation. We learn to take back control of our lives and strengthen our abilities.
Silence is something that not only do I find balancing and recharging, as well as supportive to being more present, mindful, and aware of all the energetic subtleties and guiding messages, but I also find it a way in which I can go deeper into the watery abyss of my authenticity, hear my intuition and truth, and exercise expansion of my heart. It’s also a way to access deeper connection with everyone and everything around me.
“In the attitude of silence the soul finds the path in a clearer light, and what is elusive and deceptive resolves itself into crystal clearness. Our life is a long and arduous quest after Truth.” ~Mahatma Gandhi
I’m constantly in awe and in love with the limitless depths of the heart. We’ve come to understand the importance of exercising the body, but it is also important to continually exercise the heart in taking it to new levels that will access its expansive potentials to heal all and to create anything we dream. Silence helps us to touch into those spaces in between and to understand the language of love.
Silence speaks volumes and is a way we can speak heart to heart and allow love’s stillness to envelope our souls.
This takes place even without words needing to be uttered.
I am grateful for the moments that exercise my heart and draw me deeper into the stillness within.
May you be inspired to embrace the power of sacred silence and the heart.
“Silence allows you to watch your mind and become aware of the thoughts that you may be acting on unconsciously. When you see the thoughts, you can make a conscious choice to act on the thought or change your mind, instead of going along with the noise. I have seen people who don’t want to look at themselves keep going until something happens that makes them stop — a sickness or an accident — but it gives them that reflective, quiet space where they can face what is difficult in their mind. We each have a unique purpose to fulfill in this life and inklings can come in those quiet moments.” ~Swami Radhananda
A perfect message, I feel, for now from Lee and very resonating with what I’ve been experiencing and sharing with clients, and feels like a flowing tie-in to recent posts I’ve felt led to express. Always appreciate Lee’s shares.
I hope everyone enjoyed the holiday weekend in whatever perfect way resonated with your heart and aligned with your own beliefs and life intents. We were away to celebrate with family and even had the chance to touch in with some friends during our whirlwind weekend. And although brief, it was fully packed with beautiful experiences around every corner. It truly couldn’t have been more perfect and nurturing on many layers, not to mention confirming for me on equally varied levels.
From the moment we arrived it was nonstop enchantment and I felt so supported, as well as supporting, by and to others, as well as from the powers that be.
Our home-away-from-home Airbnb (which the kitty babies loved too) was a small creek side cottage in eclectic Topanga Canyon, which was very rustic and also quite enchanting with magickal touches like a storybook wardrobe staircase up to the cozy loft bedroom, private courtyard with hammock, outdoor couch, and sparkly lighting, a giant quartz crystal guardian at the front door atop a tree stump, skylights to see the trees and stars, original 1926 Winnie the Pooh and Eeyore illustrations (I love Eeyore and Pooh!), and other nurturing touches.
Although set back in the trees with a dirt road to walk up to it and septic and propane tanks the heating and plumbing were set up on, it was still a sweet getaway that made us feel connected to nature and back in our mountain home setting although near the big city of Los Angeles.
It was also very conveniently located to all the things we love, which enabled us to hike in Topanga Canyon State Park, stroll along the Pacific Ocean, and eat at a bunch of great vegan restaurants.
The other amazing thing was that not one bit of traffic was experienced the whole entire trip, which is unheard of in LA. We zipped along everywhere we needed/wanted to go without any challenge and quickly! And we literally were all over the place between Topanga Canyon, Santa Monica, Venice, Costa Mesa, Pomona, Pasadena, Camarillo, and Granada Hills.
We also got some things handled at our storage facility where we picked up some chairs we’d stored because we didn’t need them for our rv adventure (since it’s sold now) and put a large painting of mine in storage that was being housed/enjoyed by our friends renting our house, who will be moving on to a new home soon.
The latter helped out by my friend who had the painting since her car fit it, which enabled us to visit a little, exchange gifts with her and her children, and share some sweet moments we captured on camera.
I received such wonderful gifts this year that were so aligned with my essence – perhaps because of my being so in touch with it more than ever that people knew exactly the things that were perfect?
And apparently, I found out some more surprises are in store when I pick up the mail from our P.O. Box. Can’t wait!
It was all so unexpected, but truly filled my heart with gratitude for the welcome surprises.
Probably the sweetest Christmas gift maybe ever, though, came from my friend’s daughter when she presented me with her stuffed rabbit she sleeps with every night, named Cosmo after my bunny love.
Because she was at preschool and was heartbroken when she found out she’d miss me coming by the house to get the painting, we made a stop there to see her. Her mom told the teachers her Faery Godmother was coming, so they let her out to see me.
Anyway, she said that because he’s no longer with me she wanted me to have her Cosmo and that I have to sleep with him every night like she does and then every two months we will send it back and forth to share him together. Awww… talk about melting my heart.
She’s a magickal little Faery, as she presented it to me on 12/23 the day before my other rabbit’s birthday, named Joy, who was Cosmo’s beloved partner and in 2 months it will be 2/23 which is the 8 year anniversary that Joy came into my life. Talk about synchronous and connecting these two loves to me and each other.
I’m so grateful I had time to spend with these two sweetie pies that day and to sprinkle a little Faery gift giving to them as well.
I also had the chance to visit my beloved Garden Tower that my friend and her kids care for at our old house they have been renting for the last almost year and a half. It’s doing amazing as you can see and some of my original plants are huge and lush!! What a special gift all around!!
And the gifts kept pouring in (wow!), as you can see in some of these photos of things I received. This isn’t even all of it, but truly it they were some special and thoughtful things indeed.
…..magickal measuring cups that measure out love, beauty, grace and sparkle, Native American Herbal Remedies book, vegan cookbook and sweatshirts from Sea Shepherds, three porcelain rabbit figurines/ornaments meant to symbolize my three bunny loves, homemade nature-inspired Christmas ornaments, a snowflake blue agate display piece, a photo frame creation from the photographer and his wife who took the photo of me, Cosmo and Joy to have a keepsake, a lovely sterling silver/gold rabbit ring (interestingly Dave’s brother’s wife had gotten it for me earlier in the year but hadn’t been able to send it and then the timing at Christmas after Joy and Cosmo transitioned became the perfect timing to bond them and Nestor to me and wedding me to my loves eternally), a Navajo inspired cd of two flutists creating a haunting musical journey inside Canyon de Chelly, adobe village mugs from Mexico, natural gnome soap, Tree Tarot, and more, it’s been an unexpected Christmas for sure, but so appreciated. And all of them perfect, each in their own way speaking to a part of me and things that I love and that would nurture my life.
I also got myself a bunch of fun things, I may share in another post, as I was really feeling the need to nurture my heart after my bunny loves transitioning onward.
But truly, the best gift was the quality time spent with loved ones and the experiences that took place that touched my heart in non-tangible, but potent ways.
This to include a hike we went on where I found a sparkly pink and blue/gray stone gift from Joy, cleansing my feet in the creek of the canyon (where we found icy blue painted stones we had to walk across at one point), the waterfall, the enchanted forest we descended into, and the Mayan glyph and numeral I found etched in stone atop a cliff, which I knew because of my studies (also “happened” to be the same exact glyph in my painting of “Fire” that I had picked up from my friend’s house the day before), the red-tailed hawk that flew in front of me when I deciphered the glyph and made the connection to Joy sending me a message (big chills)!
The glyph is Ahau, which means “Sun” – the light of all life and is considered by the Maya considered as the most sacred of days. They also called it the “Day of Ancestors.” It also symbolized the “Flower”, beauty, dreams, hopes, wishes, artistic energy, transformation, light, the warrior and traveler, nature, love, and radiance. It represents artistic people who love recreating real life into their own vision of beauty (sound familiar with my personal motto of “creating life as a work of art” and how I’ve been saying I’m rebirthing and recreating myself? It also is about shining your light and embodying “I am the Sun” – more things I’ve been expressing a lot of lately too.
The glyph had the Mayan number for 13 atop it, and all encased within a Sun symbol. Numbers are Galactic Tones for the Maya and the number 13 and 20 are foundational to their astrological system.
Here’s a little insight on 13 from http://www.tokenrock.com:
“13 – Ascension, authority, intensity
The supreme deity—completion
The number thirteen, to the Maya, was a very powerful number. It represented going to the highest level of accomplishment. Those born with the number thirteen will be very good at tying up lose ends, making sure all the details of a project are in order.
Thirteen people are always interested in improving upon what they have created. Thirteen is at that point of getting ready to jump into the void to start a new cycle or project. Thirteens often have their feet in both worlds. They are at home in void, for they know that the void is that from which manifestation begins. Thirteen people are often psychics or clairvoyants. A thirteen person will always have a lot of intense experiences that they will either create or the people in their life will create for them.
Unexpected change is always part of a thirteen person’s life. For a thirteen person to be happy, they need to realize that change is a constant in their lives. They will be pleased if they can be flexible and allow new situations into their lives. Thirteens are always standing on the precipice of any area of life, ready to jump off into a new creation, or take it something already created to the next level.”
And here’s more on the significance of thirteen for the Mayas: http://www.4-ahau.com/en/The_13_Numbers.html
Joy has always been connected with the Mayan energy and sending me messages via this link that is strong for me and opened things at one point in my life to get me to where I am today. No coincidence there are some links to my writing here as well.
That’s a glimpse into that very powerful experience where I mentioned the hawk then flew by and around me when I was making this connection…feeling like the ancients and Joy were confirming through this sentinel who has been guiding the way for me daily.
And then there was the three deer that showed up at the end of the hike – Dave had walked by them and didn’t see them…another man also walked the opposite way and missed them – but me just a bit behind heard something and found the three of them munching on the fresh rained upon grass.
They let me stay so close to them, unaffected, and as if I was welcomed as one of them. If you remember, in Glacier National Park I’d come across two magickal deer, which were Nestor and Joy visiting me (Joy had just passed).
Well, now little Cosmo had joined them, as there were three. The middle, youngest one was him and he connected a long time with me.
This encounter was meant for just me and I received the gift they intended. What a special experience, which I relished in for a while on my own since no one was around. It was beautiful to just be with my loves…and all on Christmas Eve – Joy’s birthday. Thank you!
Joy was gifting things and showing up all around…she felt to be orchestrating all of the things I encountered and like the dream of her I had a couple of weeks ago that had pointed my attention to listen…I was!!! As it was my ears that made me hear the very subtle munching of grass that got my attention to stop, turn, and see the three of them surrounded by trees that camouflaged them to others.
And it is my ears that will also hear the Galactic and Cosmic tones of alignment speaking through my heart to guide me forth.
I love when the dots get connected.
That day also continued with a light lunch and I had a virgin mojito (since I don’t drink) on the beach, a stroll, and dipping my feet in the ocean…so I now had cleansed my Pisces essence (as feet are connected to the sign of Pisces in medical astrology) in the creek and the Pacific. A way of purifying and rebirthing, like a christening into a new me.
It was on the beach that also I found two heart shaped smooth stones (after intending I’d like to find one)…one of which has a “T” etched in it for Tania, Tiny, and Tiny Tim (the nicknames of Joy and Cosmo). And of course a lovely feather also made its way to me, as the bird tribe is so active these days!
Speaking of, as mentioned the hawk appeared at the site of the Mayan glyph on the cliff where I was connecting with it, but hawks were abound the whole trip in numbers too high to count.
But alongside deer, I also had coyote and road runner medicine show up. The coyote crossed the creek at Inn of the Seventh Ray where we had our Christmas Eve dinner/Joy and sister-in-law’s birthday celebration dinner at. The restaurant is in the canyon set amidst the trees, creek, and mountain, so nature is all around. I felt the coyote showing up was indicative of sacred teachings coming to light around paradoxes, especially since after dinner while we headed home, which was only two minutes away (convenient!), we saw coyote cross the road again. And roadrunner tried to cross the road in front of our car while I was driving on another day, but it darted back to safety once I’d seen him and told him to be careful! 🙂
And as mentioned, we enjoyed tons of good food and indulged ourselves at different restaurants all over…some old and some new places…all super yum. Meals, desserts and all.
And we had the chance to connect with a few friends one evening for a Christmas dinner at Cafe Gratitude – perfect place/name for all the overload of loving gratitude felt.
I was beaming with “Joy”.
Our trip happened to coincide with Dave’s dad having just gone into the hospital for major spinal surgery and so we were able to have a nice uplifting visit with him at Huntington Hospital on Friday and were grateful he was released on Christmas day so that we could spend a nice evening again having the family surrounding him in love to support his healing.
We had a mix of time to ourselves, time with some friends, and time with family enjoying the best of nature and city all around, returning to both of our old stomping grounds in Santa Monica and on the pier to relive exact experiences and photos from the past, duplicated in the now, like me kissing the golden dolphin, and even came across an Alice in Wonderland Christmas tree complete with White Rabbit tea party, but all filled with lots of love, warmth, connection, and sacredness.
Our last evening on Christmas ended with play time with our niece, Violet, after opening gifts (she received a giant pink unicorn because every princess needs one), including her teaching me and her mom a dance, which Dave video’d (I would totally have posted it, but it’s way too large and was done via his cell phone).
It seemed like the perfect conclusion to the weekend with the message of dancing my heart out through this new chapter of my life, just as sweet little Violet does, and of taking everything with lightness of heart, as life is meant to be joyous, playful and not so serious.
There is a time and place for it all and balancing wisdom with innocence creates harmony.
The weekend was full of themes like inner child wonder, nurturing, living life fully in each moment, the true meaning of love, values highlighted, eternal connections, guiding support always being around, and magick, of course.
And upon returning home, a stunning sunset welcomed us back and impressed it all upon my heart more so.
I’ve been blessed with these four magickal souls in rabbit bodies in my life and have been forever changed because of them. They’ve all reminded me of my song, helping me get to where I am today. Our love transcends time, not to mention opens gateways through it. We have so much more to create together and I welcome walking that path with them in my heart and others that will join, as we do.
“The spiritual path is not a solo endeavor…We are in it together and the company of spiritual friends helps us realize our interconnectedness.” ~Tara Brach
I’m grateful for all of my soul family who have been a part of my life and helped me to remember who I am, which includes all connections that have intertwined and of course friends, loved ones, biological family, Cosmic family, and the other amazing souls who have come to me in animal bodies including the incredible Gaia my Russian Tortoise, Tee-Ta my first turtle love, Iris the white parakeet with aqua cheeks, and Sweetie and Girl my two powder blue parakeets.
It’s always amazing to me to look at how the tapestry has been woven into such richness because of all of the threads.
