Cancer Full Moon’s Invitation to Emotional Wholeness & an End to Suffering

With Cancer Full Moon energies abound, the thing that stands out most to me is a focus on the emotions and emotional field and the very subtle and loud messages that have been trying to get our attention here. There’s this huge potential for immense opportunity or major challenge that can manifest as a critical point – in either case a turning of the tides is at hand by vulnerably and transparently embracing the flow of your watery depths and being honest with where your resistance, denial, repression, defiance, defense, and refusal is so that you can make those breakthroughs.

This calls to mind something I recently read that feels in alignment with this and important to share.

It speaks to “suffering” and the language and dialogue, not to mention beliefs, we use daily to keep us small, victimized, martyred, sabotaged, excused from responsibility, and/or in a continuous spiral of confusion and hopelessness…..It’s about how suffering can be another mask we wear that taints our entire life.

Here is the message:

“Emotional suffering is a big disguiser, a mask. Suffering can be kind of arrogant belligerence with which you agonize through life. Take off that mask, and the person has lost her main occupation. So no matter what she accomplishes, she will be wearing that false face. She will simply give it another name.” ~Star Woman

In what ways do you claim suffering as your role in life?

Perhaps there is a new perspective in which you can approach your life experiences and arise.

In any case, your emotional responses and feelings – your mental reactions and portrayals of your emotions – can provide you answers and be the key to unlocking your freedom.

The way through them IS to go through them with personal integrity, which may sometimes include inviting in and being willing to receive support and reflections from others.

The challenge takes place when we stop short, attach to a particular emotion, and decide to set up camp there and grow roots.

With this Cancer Full Moon, let us embrace the gifts of the feminine and bring her into her authentic power.

There Is No Shame In Expressing Feelings

There is nothing wrong with feelings and expressing all of your emotions. I don’t hide from sharing all sides of myself that move through me like a dance because they are temporary and do not define me. I have learned, and we all can, to navigate feelings and it’s a beautifully empowered experience, which is also why I’m doing incredibly well and feel so harmonious after the recent challenges I’ve gone through that in the past were debilitating.

This is why I have been so transparent and shared my recent video about Joy’s transition as a way to support others in surrendering to the beauty of feelings and to know that you can return to peaceful center once you allow that to happen and don’t get stuck in ego judgments, but rather, learn to express the personal without attachment, while embodying the bigger picture that balances.

We are not meant to always be in a blissful, joyous, or even depressive or angered state. These are energetic waves we ride, but the ocean of emotions is all of this and none of this…it is simply a state of harmonious and centered being.

Humans have learned to fear feeling….to deny the wisdom of the body and senses and worship the mind solely.

As a result of being out of touch with their senses, people walk through life completely oblivious to their surroundings and the impact their choices and footprint create on the environment and everyone and everything in it, as a whole.

It’s as if feeling is a foreign invader that we either don’t want to know about (ignorance is bliss) or we want to completely eradicate altogether.

We’re taught to narrow our attention and always obsess over the future, while clinging tightly to the past. But this merely leaves us unable to function in the fullness of who we are in the present.

And, in so doing, we rely on others and so-called “experts” and “authority” figures to make decisions for us. It is a way to not take responsibility with a convenient excuse that we’re too busy or haven’t the ability to understand how we truly feel in order to even make a choice or have an opinion.

So it becomes easier to allow others to choose that for us.

People have run away from authenticity of feeling and replaced this with surrender to what is socially acceptable.

And what does this create?

A build up of explosive, unexpressed feelings that get triggered when you least expect it, and all versions of suppressive and numbing substances and behaviors to stuff those feelings even more deeply.

And then blame is attached to these secondary reasons for our suppression…all simply due to our learning to deny emotional feelings and messaging and continuing to accept that this is acceptable.

Come back to yourself.

Embrace every emotion and sensory feeling, as therein lies the gift of your humanity.

All the colors of emotions are of value. They are all simply energy and part of Source experiencing itself through each wave of feeling that we have the free will to move through. We tend to deem some as better or worse, may avoid them, or deny some in favor of others. However there is a beauty and gift in feeling. Source does not hold judgment on feelings. It remains the unconditionally, detached observer of energy expressions.

Humans hault, block, and attach to energy – defying what is in its innate nature to do, which is flow.

We are human “beings”, which is a motion..a dance…the blessing of “feeling” and moving energy into action. When we allow ourselves to feel, we naturally cycle through the feelings to harmony and balance.

I am grateful for every experience that has taken me to the darkest and lightest of places, for it provides the ability to understand and have true compassion, not to mention infuses everything I do with a breadth of energy that takes my life’s work and relationships to everything around me, to another level otherwise not achieved.

Some of the tormented souls have indeed become great artists, visionaries, movers in the world, and healers because of their ability to go to the full gamut of experiences and depth that then infuses creations, ideas, dreams, and connection with more richness.

We do not NEED to be tormented – that is a choice – but there is also no judgment on this. The key isn’t to avoid feelings, but to learn processes to rebalance ourselves after allowing them to move through us freely. And once we retrain this, it becomes natural once again.

I would not be me, nor where I am in life without ALL that I have gone through.

I cherish the highs AND lows that I have gone through, as they are the sacred fabric of my being.

However, the more I have learned to peacefully navigate the emotional waters, the less the pendulum swings and the more gently it is nudged by the whispers of my embrace.

(This post is a combined new share interwoven with two past shares from 2014 on the subject of feelings. I felt this important to express when someone told me that they did not want to watch the emotional parts of my video about my experiences with Joy’s transition, as they see me as a happy person and don’t like seeing me or “good” people, as they put it, sad. I believe this is a collective belief or reaction that many share where I feel there is a misunderstanding of expressing feelings and being afraid or judgmental of them, as we all have been. And until we learn a new perspective, I’m afraid this will limit the expansive experiences and powerful creative energy we innately have available to us.)

Ask the Heart ~ Lee Harris

“The heart needs its healing and will not rest until it has it. Why? Because the heart is you and you need your healing. The heart is the seat of your soul, the core of your soul. It is the leader of your experience on Earth. Even though it is greatly aided by all of the other colors and energies you possess, it dictates the flow, the mood, the set-up of your day.

The experiences you create and manifest will both serve and respond to your heart. And where your heart is not being served, where you are ignoring its needs, you will find yourself stumbling from difficulty to difficulty – created for yourself in order to remind you to return to your heart. And when you return to your heart, you will see your life and your ideas will not be that different. But with heart energy behind those ideas, they will be in truth for you and so far more successful, far more in flow and, far easier to manifest.

Diving into the heart each morning is a solution for many of you at this time of great change. When you find yourselves thrown by your hearts on a daily basis, distracted from life or pulled out of what you are doing by your feelings. Your feelings are the most important thing for you to attend to at this time. If you allow your feelings and their requirements when they rise to be present in your life, they will pass through. If you fight or suppress them, they will hang around for longer because they need to be served – and released.

Grief and sadness do not belong to you. You have to let them go. Joy and happiness do not belong to you. You have to let them go too. Life is a kaleidoscope that you agreed to be a part of – it will become more peaceful. There will be far less human pain and struggle the more you progress, but the attachments will lead you astray. Not from your path or your truth, for if you allow yourself to be led by attachments, you are learning from that experience. There is no wrong turn you can take. All is your creation. If you no longer wish to be led astray from your heart’s desires, needs and your heart energy – allow yourself the experience of this exercise.

By giving your heart this attention each morning, a greater level of relationship will automatically be reached within you. It will give many of you great stability, especially on days when you are experiencing struggle. you will work with the energies that need attending to within your heart in a concentrated form so that they do not need to be manifested in your life. You will have dealt with the bulk of the energy each morning. Sometimes you will find the energy will be dissolved and you will return to peace by the end of the exercise.

Do not be alarmed by whatever you find in your heart each morning. If you find sadness, accept it for it will not be there forever. It will move. It always does. Sometimes it takes longer and that is fine. Just allow and accept. When you begin to allow and accept the heart, it moves forward fast and your experience of peace comes faster, deeper, truer and more felt than ever before.

This is the key to your soul evolution – this heart energy – this heart power you possess.”

~A Zachary Channel by Lee Harris, Energy Speaks Vol. II

“I have no right to call myself one who knows. I was one who seeks, and I still am, but I no longer seek in the stars or in books; I’m beginning to hear the teachings of my blood pulsing within me. My story isn’t pleasant, it’s not sweet and harmonious like the invented stories; it tastes of folly and bewilderment, of madness and dream, like the life of all people who no longer want to lie to themselves.” ~Hermann Hesse

Feelings Enrich Our Lives

feelingsThere seems to be a theme around “feelings” threading through the collective, as I’m guided to share a bit more on this today – in flow with yesterday’s post on sadness. Not surprised, as we’re being asked to embrace all of them in order to come into our fullness and wholeness, as well as to trust those intuitive nudges that our bodies and feelings are messaging us.

All the colors of emotions are of value. They are all simply energy and part of Source experiencing itself through each wave of feeling that we have the free will to move through. I cherish the highs AND lows, as they are the sacred fabric of my being.

Where There is Sadness There is New Promise

sadnessMuch of the time we judge emotions as good and bad and we feel that it’s wrong, unenlightened, or unevolved of us to have certain feelings that have been deemed as “less than”.

Feelings are there to be expressed, to move through us freely like the natural cycles and rhythms of life and nature all around us.

When feelings arise, it’s simply the divine journey of experience that, when embraced and allowed, returns us to who we really are.

Thank you Dawn for sharing this quote with from Matt. I hope it helps others to be more gentle with themselves and release the judgments, self-defeating thoughts, and punishment that do not serve the nature of you.

If you find yourself in sadness today, realize that you are journeying through a cycle of change that holds the promise of a new dawn.
