Lightness, Laughter & Love ~ Full Circle Renewal & Inspiration

It’s been a fully packed and fun filled last several days with Lynne Day “in da house,” but wanted to send out some Easter wishes of renewal, creativity, and cosmic expansion. Between the back-to-back Sedona and friend visit here in Tahoe, it’s really felt like a celebration of Spring, joy, and inspiration. I know not everyone is experiencing the openings and flow, but within every experience is opportunity for us to embrace and make new choices.

It’s not that I don’t come up against challenges or have a lot of contrasting things come up around me, but it’s my approach to life, the inner peace I’ve found, understanding things from a bigger picture perspective, and having put to practice a process that is now natural, that enables me to be in the experience and reality of my own choosing without being thrown off my balance.

Anyway, I don’t intend this to be a long blog, but did want to reshare this post on Easter and rabbits for anyone interested and open to exploring more:

Rabbits, Cosmic Eggs, Pagan Goddesses & Transition – Easter Origins & Awareness

And I also wanted to briefly share the joyous and inspiring energy from the last few days of Lynne’s visit, which although was only 2 1/2 days, was quite rich and packed in a bunch.

We got to experience a lot, which included belly laughs until we literally cried and cried, shenanigans galore (or as Lynne calls them, bananigans), good food, good conversation, lots of nature time and exercise (Lynne and I would go out on a hike before lunch, then again with Dave after lunch, outdoor music and food, play time with the kitties, a bald eagle sighting and connection (her spirit animal), lots of goose fun, tons of discoveries and treasures, both snow days and sunshiny warm and crystalline still days, a sound bath by me with my crystal bowls, and yes, banana time! (For more background on the “bananas” please visit the link on Lynne’s name at the beginning).

On our last day banana we decided to seal our banana relationship once and for all with a little ceremony and activation all choreographed by us, directed and inspired by Lynne, and executed solely by us. You’ll see some of the photos below of the “nuptials” and celebrations….the banana adventures have just begun!

(Photo disclaimer: It has to be mentioned that these shots were all taken solely by us bananas…yes, even the panorama shots of us at both ends was intricately directed by Lynne and executed by us where one of us would start out in position while the other started the panoramic filming…then once out of lens would run and take over camera duties while the other ran into position in time to be in the shot. Lol!! And we did them in one take!!!!)

If you follow along on Instagram or Facebook, I’ve already posted our journey there, so I’ll just share some of the photos here to hopefully infuse some lightness, laughter, and love in your day.

As truly, that is what matters the most.

How much you can find the humor in things, enjoy what there IS, take things lightly, and feel the love constantly flowing through you.

After the “nuptials” we met Dave for another outdoor, live music lunch before Lynne flew off.

My parents then gave us a surprise visit a few hours after Lynne left.

Isn’t my mom adorable? She posed this way herself with two pine cones (one she found and one I found for her – both she was taking home). As above, so below….A true Faery!

We took them on a walk along the Lake, which gifted us all this, which I’m sharing with you and hope it brings all things full circle, as I’ve been seeing in my own life with everything.

The Value of Silliness

“The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.” ~e. e. cummings

To me, humor, silliness, play, and having fun are key to living a happy, healthy, fulfilling, inspired, and magickal life. It just does your well-being good and when you’re feeling good, you are more invigorated, have more energy, your creative passion erupts, and things just flow with more ease and alignment in your life.

One of the things I value most in all of my relationships whether work, friendship, or romantic is downright silly playfulness.

We’re serious enough in our lives and look where it’s gotten us. Laughter and letting go of inhibitions nurtures vibrancy in your life and cultivates longevity.

I love that raw silliness that doesn’t try or need to be intellectually correct, witty, or sarcastic. It’s just pure and uncensored fun that doesn’t have, nor need a reason other than it wants to channel through you in whatever joyous way the moment calls for.

Playfulness increases happiness, lowers stress, induces more relaxation, and boosts your morale. Not to mention, you’ll find yourself channeling more creativity, being much more productive, being more present with your energy, more grateful, and realizing a “lighter” approach can be experienced at any moment.

When you are more relaxed and vulnerably open with your playfulness, you find yourself connecting more with others, being more accepting, and even more openly communicative in all of your relationships and encounters with others.

Rigidness starts to become flexibility. And this trickles down into all areas of your life.

Not only will you emotionally, mentally, and spiritually reap the benefits, but your body will physically loosen up as a result and start to move with more fluidity that releases the blocked and trapped stresses and tensions you’ve bottled up. You will feel and look younger.

More laugh lines means less age lines, as laughter is one of the best medicines and natural elixirs of life. It increases endorphins, actually lightens your “weight” as it increases oxygen in the blood, feels exhilarating like a natural high, helps to build immunity, while helping to increase peace from the lowered stress levels you’ll experience.

Plus it’s contagious!! That’s the best part.

When you’re in a laughing fit, or having fun being silly, others can’t help but crack a smile, and then soon a laugh, and then it’s an all out laughter fest where you’re stomach hurts so good and your eyes are tearing from the release.

When life is focused all about seriousness it’s inevitably going to create tension, stress, standoffishness, burn out, separation, shut down, hindered communication, and less joy.

Whereas, allowing and embracing more playfulness and silliness in your life will bring out the best in you and others, not to mention will invite your inner child to feel safe once again and that will start pouring magick into your life, as seen through the eyes of her or him.

Knowing how to balance your life with times for serious and times of play is important. Our challenge has been the imbalance where seriousness usually takes over and only tiny bursts of silliness, or none at all, gets to see the light of day in our lives.

Then of course there’s the flip side of constant silliness that becomes it’s own overkill.

I think that ultimately, if we are listening to our energy we will find the perfect balance of both.

But usually we are controlling things, repressing them, or we overcompensate to try to be something rather than naturally relaxing into embodying it.

This is when authenticity comes into play and being present with what is moving through us in the moment naturally, is important.

“Like a welcome summer rain, humor may suddenly cleanse and cool the earth, the air and you.” ~ Langston Hughes

Silliness Creates Magick!

beach joy

Me jumping for joy at Crystal Cove

I’m my own best friend, keeping myself in daily amusement and entertainment…laughing out loud, talking to myself, making up funny skits and dances, and guiding myself by gentle hand through the ups and downs of life.

As much fun as I have on my own and with my animal companions and imagination, it’s definitely a treat to share the fun and laughs with a friend who mirrors the same deliriously silly shenanigans and yet can also carry a conscious conversation.

I got a surprise message from one such friend (Lynne – you may remember her as my banana cohort) was arriving in town a few weeks ago and so we were able to share in a fun day while she was visiting on Friday – Friday Fun Day!lynne and tania

We spent a perfect day eating at a favorite vegan restaurant for lunch, then grounding ourselves on a nature stroll (aka hike) overlooking the ocean, and finishing off with a long walk and exploring on the beach.

holy smokes bowls

My favorite Holy Smokes Bowls at Seabirds – brown rice, bbq jackfruit, sautéed greens, broccolini, pickled red onion, coconut bacon, Seabirds sauce and Kentucky bbq sauce

Good nourishing food, Earth and Water energy, along with laughs every step of the way, and good conversation, made for a very balanced day.

It’s been such a full couple of months that I was so grateful for the energy boost that aligned perfectly with completion of a project.

lynne and meYou just need some good old fashioned fun in your life, and that to me is silliness and laughter, along with the ability to vulnerably tap into the little girl or boy inside. I engage in this daily with myself, but I cherish the friends that can meet me in my little girl mode because that to me is priceless.

lynne and me2There’s so much seriousness in life. If you can’t laugh at things, or yourself, I think it not only ages you very quickly, but it creates a bitterness in life that will put a damper on anything you want to create.

Approaching life with curious wonder and as if everything is magickal, creates…well….magick!dragonfly

The photos in this post are from our day – some taken by me and others by Lynne (all photos of us taken by us!).

We encountered a lot of magick, natural beauty, and wonder, alongside creating our own fun.roadrunnersea snail5rainbow cactus

I hope they bring a smile, warmth, giggles, and a little lightness to your day, perhaps inspiring a little silliness to bubble to the surface for expression and inspire you to immerse yourself in nature, as the child in you will come alive there!banana beach
