I experienced such a beautiful and synchronous day, yesterday, which is the kind that leaves your heart and soul smiling wide.
The kind of resonant day that drew forth my Original Voice.
As I’ve continued with my sound work, deepening into the traditions and lineages of the Nymphs and Sibyls, I’ve been retrieving the rich, ancient roots within my soul essence.
The synchronicities and alignments keep amping up and reiterating everything I’ve come to know about myself and the way in which I Am.
Getting back to this rich and joyous work while here in Malibu has been the perfect environment to reconnect and support my remembrance.
It’s been amazing to see the things I’m studying being mirrored right before me…
While delving into the primordial ocean of ancient origins, I bask in the sun with the Pacific Ocean as my guide ahead.
Whales emerging to sing back my song.
Sea lions playing in the waves to reflect my soul child dancing in delight.
It was incredible to find myself walking through the gateways of the other realms yesterday – to the caves and bubbling springs that draw forth the resonance of remembrance.
I hear the Earth’s messages within my flesh and bones and reconnect with my own primordial ancient origins within.
After my work atop the cliff above the ocean yesterday, we went on a hike at Edward Albert Escondido Canyon Trail and Waterfalls.
We came across a divergence in the path, and having not done the hike before, nor was there signage to point the way, we stopped to decide which direction to go.
Three people on horses then came through and asked if we needed help.
They told us we could go up to the right and there would be a really lovely view.
They told us if we went left it goes to where the waterfall is, but there is no water right now.
They seemed to be guiding us to the view to the right, feeling the no-water waterfall wouldn’t be very interesting.
After they left, Dave asked which way I wanted to go.
I said to the left.
And I’m so glad I listened to the Nymphs and Sibyls calling to me, as it was exactly the perfection of divine alignment.
Even though the waterfalls were not flowing, the beauty of this fertile, magickally sunlit dark area of moss and ferns, with little caves, dripping water, babbling brook, and frogs, was the return to my innocence and origins of voice. I was in my element.
And the path to get there was filled with the most beautiful tree spirits I couldn’t help but commune with, portals, and Faeries galore.
I was home.
And rather than explain anymore, I will share these images of this mystical place and all the enchantment along the way on this day of returning to my ancient origins.
Let these images reveal to you, your own.
These photographs by photographer, Beth Moon, taken over the course of 14 years of some of the most magnificent trees from around the world are absolutely stunning, mystical, magickal, deeply symbolic, and meaningful.
They reflect to us quite the story when listened to and breathed in.
A sneak preview of some of the photos from her book “Ancient Trees: Portraits Of Time” can be found here:
There are many ways to be a mother and there are many meanings for what a mother is to each of us. Regardless of how that looks and comes to be for each, the one we feel to call “mother” in our lives is one who provides us creative life energy, teaching, nurturing, unconditional love, as well as tough love, encapsulated in a timeless beauty seen by the heart.
This Divine Mother Energy can cross all imaginary boundaries of cultures, religions, races, species, life forms and beyond.
The Divine Mother Energy is also what we know as the Divine and Sacred Feminine Energy – that all-encompassing, unconditional love that is expressed towards others, ourselves, and to all of life. She understands “tough love” and unconditionally challenges her children, as she helps to foster their empowerment. All that the Divine Mother wants is for us to have love present in our hearts and to extend that reach within to our inner child, as well as to all children (our brothers and sisters of the Earth and Universe at large).
When love is present – the spiritual energy force that goes beyond the boundaries of relativity and materialism – we are connected to this Divine Energy.
We then, ourselves, come to embody the Divine Mother Energy and recognize and honor it in all others, the Earth herself, and as the Universal source of creation and love that it is. And when we merge this Divine Feminine energy in integrative partnership with the Divine Male, we create the impetus for a New Earth experience.
The bottom line is that honoring mothers, be they flesh and blood, adopted, symbolic, embodied as the Earth Mother herself, or the Divine Feminine Energy consciousness within and without, it is a Universal theme that everyone can relate to and is vital to life and enlightenment.
As I recently shared in a post, Awakening the Sacred Mother Within:
“I don’t believe one has to actually birth a child from their womb to have this experience, although it definitely is one of the very rich ways to know this aspect of self as reflection of our Earth Mother’s own blessings in this regard. But, nor would one necessarily need to have any form of children to know this part of a woman that simply IS due to her being a woman.
The alchemy of the Sacred and Divine Feminine and Mother is an innate essence for us to remember is within us and to embody, reawaken, activate, and bring that forth in shining glory without shame, guilt, fear, or judgment. We can awaken it through the act of self-love, through the channeling of creativity and nurtured passion, through sacred ritual, through our sexuality and sexual alchemy, and through the intimacy of relationship to all that is within the deep recesses of our most ancient, rich, inner mysteries.”
Today we hold reverence for this Sacred Feminine and the birthing of new from this Sacred Womb of Creation within that is being nurtured, embraced, enjoyed, honored, and celebrated.
Much love and gratitude to all “mothers,” especially Mother Earth who provides us abundantly in every way imaginable. And much respect and honor to the Sacred Feminine within us all that nurtures the very sacredness of spiritual potential and life substance.
Happy Divine Mother’s Day
“We’re sitting on our blessed Mother Earth from which we get our strength and determination, love and humility – all the beautiful attributes that we’ve been given. So turn to one another; love one another; respect one another; respect Mother Earth; respect the waters – because that’s life itself!” ~Phil Lane, Sr.
“The Goddess can be seen as the symbol, the normative image of immanence. She represents the divine embodied in nature, in human beings, in the flesh. The Goddess is not one image but many – a constellation of forms and associations – earth, air, fire, water, moon and star, sun, flower and seed, willow and apple, black, red, white, Maiden, Mother, and Crone. She includes the male in her aspects: He becomes child and Consort, stag and bull, grain and reaper, light and dark. Yet the femaleness of the Goddess is primary not to denigrate the male, but because it represents bringing life into the world, valuing the world. The Goddess, the Mother, as symbol of that value, tells us that the world itself is the content of the world, its true value, its heart, and its soul…..”~Starhawk, Dreaming the Dark
“This is why the wisdom of the feminine is so important, because the feminine understands the dynamics of relationship, how to listen and be receptive. Feminine consciousness is more attuned to the life of the body, and so knows the rhythms that belong to the cycles of life, rather than the systems imposed by will that are presently strangling our world. The feminine is more instinctively and naturally attuned to life, its patterns and powers. And feminine consciousness is less dominated by reason, more open to the mystery of the symbolic inner world. The feminine is vital in this work of awakening.” ~Alchemy of Light: Working with the Primal Energies of Life
“Certain kinds of work now specifically require the light of women. There is, for example, a work of bringing into this plane of existence a particular quality or vibration of spiritual energy that is needed for the transformation of life. This is a spiritual energy that belongs to the sacredness of matter, and because women have an instinctual understanding of the sacred nature of matter, this work of transmission can only be done by women. Women carry the sacred substance of life in their spiritual centers and understand how to give this quality of light to life; in their ability to give birth, women have the natural capacity to bring the light of a soul into the physical world of matter and thus awaken the spiritual potential of matter. Women also understand the connections between people and the connections within life; at this time women are needed to bring a seed of pure light into life where it can create new forms and new patterns of interrelationship that are essential to the healing and transformation of life.” ~Alchemy of Light: Working with the Primal energies of Life
“We need to reclaim the wisdom of the feminine but we cannot return to the time of the priestess. The masculine and feminine have to work together; our actions in the outer world must be guided by our receptivity to the inner. And there is no hierarchy to this work. Part of the blueprint of the future is the ability of each individual to participate directly with the work of the whole.” ~Spiritual Power
Yesterday, we ventured out to to look at something exciting – more on that another time – but while out this particular way it felt like a great opportunity to get some different nature time in. We just so happened to be near Lake Arrowhead so the lake and mountain forests it was!
After checking out Lake Arrowhead I discovered that Lake Gregory, which was just a bit away from it, had a really nice 2.5 mile trail around the perimeter of the lake and that was really what we were going for. Lake Arrowhead, while lovely, is a private lake so there’s only a small area you can actually be by the lake where the village is.
So after checking it out and also venturing a little off-road into a forested area, Lake Gregory it was. And so happy we did, as it truly is a beautiful area and wonderful easy hike with gorgeous surroundings and lots of wildlife. Even a pair of Osprey were dancing in the air together above the lake and making their calls to one another.
Anyway, it was perfect and just what I needed. Made me miss Lake Tahoe too.
I thought I’d share these magickal images (with a lot of Faery energy dancing through them) from the day so that you can soak up some inspiration and energy from them, as well as to support you through the Full Moon intensities.
Full Moon in Scorpio blessings to you as you work with the energies of deep intimacy and transformation, feeling like something’s gotta give/happen, stripping away things that don’t support or fortify you, and going further into your inner world and underworld of emotions and psychic depths – all in a time of acceleration to a whole new level, as well as coming to full ends before rebirthing. It’s time to empty yourself to only your truth and embrace those fears that present themselves.
Happy 1st of May and Beltane.
On Beltane Eve I placed a tiny, tiny crystal out on a larger, raw quartz altar underneath the Jasmine and Lavender as an offering to the Faeries.
I took an evening walk and the sky on one side was baby blue with the glowing crystal clear Moon, nearly full, and on the other side this magnificent burst of life suddenly appeared like someone splashed brilliant fuchsia, lilac, tangerine orange, and golden paint across the sunset sky. It was such a beautiful contrast and yet such a beautiful Union of Sun and Moon energies reflected from within us.
I also took Cosmo out to connect with Nature, as you see in the photo above.
This image of his Divine and Sacred Male soul in total harmony and embrace of the Divine and Sacred Feminine embodied in our Earth Mother Terra, just took my breath away. It to me is the epitome of this precious dance of life and creation in its fertile abundance and purity – a Sacred Marriage and Union of Earth and Cosmo(s). Much like the Sun and Moon lit skies I’d seen as well.
“Beltane honours Life. It represents the peak of Spring and the beginning of Summer. Earth energies are at their strongest and most active. All of life is bursting with potent fertility and at this point in the Wheel of the Year, the potential becomes conception. On May Eve the sexuality of life and the earth is at its peak. Abundant fertility, on all levels, is the central theme. The Maiden goddess has reached her fullness. She is the manifestation of growth and renewal, Flora, the Goddess of Spring, the May Queen, the May Bride. The Young Oak King, as Jack-In-The-Green, as the Green Man, falls in love with her and wins her hand. The union is consummated and the May Queen becomes pregnant. Together the May Queen and the May King are symbols of the Sacred Marriage (or Heiros Gamos), the union of Earth and Sky, and this union has merrily been re-enacted by humans throughout the centuries. For this is the night of the Greenwood Marriage. It is about sexuality and sensuality, passion, vitality and joy. And about conception. A brilliant moment in the Wheel of the Year to bring ideas, hopes and dreams into action. And have some fun…..”
Beautiful Sacred Feminine inspiration both in sound and vision…enjoy!
Nature inspires my everything. She inspires my solitude, and my writing and my art. She lifts me upon her welcoming wings and soars me through the sky of possibilities. She colors my day, brightens my soul, and calms my nights. She is fierce and beautiful, strong and delicate — an unrelenting Queen so generous of advice and never weary of new beginnings. In spring a colorful maiden, in winter a wise old lady, in autumn a looking-glass to my falling-leaf self, and summer a warm blossomed benefactor, comrade to the sun. A constant companion — sometimes indifferent, sometimes nuzzling me with her genial breezes and raining drops of heaven onto me. To close my windows and shut her out is error and melancholy. ~Terri Guillemets
I am in love with this world . . . I have climbed its mountains, roamed its forests, sailed its waters, crossed its deserts, felt the sting of its frosts, the oppression of its heats, the drench of its rains, the fury of its winds, and always have beauty and joy waited upon my goings and comings. ~John Burroughs
Nature is man’s teacher. She unfolds her treasures to his search, unseals his eye, illumes his mind, and purifies his heart; an influence breathes from all the sights and sounds of her existence. ~Alfred Billings Street
If you wish to know the divine, feel the wind on your face and the warm sun on your hand. ~Buddha
The spiritual quality of earth: eternally pregnant and containing in its fertility the unwritten cipher of cosmic lore. ~Frieda Harris
“I like to walk, touch living Mother Earth—bare feet best, and thrill every step. Used to envy happy reptiles that had advantage of so much body in contact with earth, bosom to bosom. We live with our heels as well as head and most of our pleasure comes in that way.” ~John Muir
If you truly love Nature, you will find beauty everywhere. ~Vincent Van Gogh
