Rebirthing seems to be a theme running through the collective and just today it came through to me through five different streams of experiences and messages from others. One of them being Astrid, as rabbits reflect this symbolism well. She’s been very eager the last couple of days to not only nudge me hard at my ankle, but has bee-lined to me in order to grab a hold of my pant leg with her teeth to get my attention.
Likely she knew of the energy overload I was experiencing and the upgrade about to take place, but it also seems she’s been really keen on my being with her so that we can navigate the unknowns together.
Rabbits are very at home in the labyrinth Netherworld where intricate underground passageways and dark twisting tunnels are the norm and where they feel secure navigating their travels by intuition and inner light alone.
Change is no stranger to them and they are accustomed to making decisions in the face of fear and maintain peaceful focus amidst chaos.
After all, their survival relies on it.
This sense of self and ingenuity is a gift that reflects to us our ability to master the same within us awaiting our reclaiming.
As Lee shared in his December Energy Update yesterday, “We are built to handle change.”
And as the ever-rebirthing rabbit says, “You, too, can get in touch with change and ride the sands of time, as the seasons weave their cycles.”
Astrid knows change very intimately and has braved the new every step of the way. Recently she shared about her own upgrade to a Castle Tower, and while it had mirrored our own shifts up until then, it was also foreshadowing more change upcoming for me.
That hit yesterday, as I’ve added a heap load of new into my life recently (including a wave of new energy painting) and its been a process to integrate a balanced schedule with it all.
I’ve been feeling a build-up of energy in a way I can’t describe and it catapulted me to this suspended point outside of this or that. It released tethers that provided any sense of familiarity and detached me even more.
Astrid says, “This is the Cosmic way, and when you are at home within this unknown, you realize the power of your own inner light above all else.”
It keeps coming at me with the expression of new inspiration and focuses, along with the stripping away of layers, the joy of surrendering things to others ready to own their own level of responsibility and reclaiming, and the deepening gratitude that stretches me to farther reaches of heart generosity that lives for today.
Astrid often sits tall and looks me straight into my heart with piercing wisdom that seems both so far away and so tangibly rich.
She says, “This is because I reflect the heart’s Great Mystery that can only be experienced by way of both loving and letting go more. Then you experience the vastness and beautiful complexity of Cosmic Love.”
She continues sharing “This overload of energy is a liminal space you’ve been experiencing as a compilation of layering new pieces onto pieces you don’t want to forget, while juggling ways to hold them within the still limited version of unrealized potential, rather than relaxing into these things already being who you are. The reminders have already done their work and the memory can now let go into the ease of embodiment. It’s time to create from the impetus of fertile inspiration and allow these to rebirth completely anew.”
And so, yesterday, my mini Notebook (the computer I’ve been using the last 5 years) finally and fully overloaded. I’ve been receiving messages from it over the past few months that there was no space remaining and our attempts to delete things went in vein.
Then my computer said, “No more.”
Just as Astrid said, “Come join me as you already are.”
Ironically and synchronously this took place yesterday directly after I posted Lee’s December Energy Update and right after I received an email from a very special spirit and artisan who after a couple of months since onset of our correspondence, had completed creating “a celestial muse” she was working on in collaboration with me that happens to embody “creation” and not surprisingly, but without me saying anything, wove the song of my heart into being.
It just so happened that I was ready for this, as anything of importance to me – truly only my new novel – is stored on a tiny little chip, and things that might “seem” important, but speak of the old days for me, were surrendered away. I let it all go, including several years of saved emails and work correspondence from days of the past and embraced Dave’s extra, heavy duty computer as my new replacement, which I’ve been using for our shared side business bookkeeping.
The overload caused everything to run in circles, take forever to implement, reverse working at all without hours of dissecting, and simply not listen to or understand commands.
In essence, I would not be moving forward unless I walked into a much more expansive field where pieces are not even present to remind me and only embodiment speaks for itself.
All of the new energy couldn’t keep piling on to things working in the background and using up space in one way or form. A larger playing field within the vortex of my heart had to be opened where things move freely and are simply an intrinsic part of me.
I said goodbye to the memories while closing all access of return and this new and vastly larger platform now provides the space for that “impetus of fertile inspiration” Astrid spoke of.
Better yet, I have no attachment to it and anything on it, which feels extra freeing, as I don’t feel the computer to be mine. It is more of a portal and conduit to bring things through, but to shut away and detach from at end of each day.
And then today, some wonderful and full circle soulful unfoldings took place when the perfect guardian said yes to my passing on three sacred items that speak of what has been some of the greatest importance to me and my lifetimes, which I only recently had also been nudged to surrender over in trust.
Astrid was specifically involved in this, literally getting my attention and moving these pieces into my awareness.
I couldn’t ask for a wiser companion.
I’ve also found myself giving out in bigger ways than ever lately, feeling that vastness and abundance, without need to hold on. There are infinite ways for things to come about. To hold onto something as an idea of insurance was also robbing the good it could do in so many other ways now, including the very way I thought it might one day help.
Astrid has been quite the muse in all of this – amusing and musing!
When I do something from that infinite place she binkies with delight – I call it a Cosmic Binky.
When I’m missing the point or urgency, she grabs hold of my pant leg.
When I’m “getting it” and download her wisdom, she peers deeply through me in her Buddha Bunny- like stance with eyes dark as the Cosmos and a twinkle of starlight at center.
This morning, as we were still prepping Dave’s computer for me I was upstairs at our usual Ask Astrid blog time so Queen Astrid came running upstairs to get me. She waited patiently beneath the graceful towering giraffes – her grounded sentinels of grace and divine purpose.
From there she was downloading today’s message, as she helped me to connect the dots with all the latest happenings.
Every day a new layer of fine-tuning is integrated.
She reminded me that every time my energy gets an “upgrade,” so do my computers and cell phones.
And we both know that this is true for many of you out there as well.
Our energy shifts affect things around us.
Rabbits are finely attuned to energies and reflect them to the tiniest degree.
My two other rabbits, Nestor and Joy, used to have physical blow-outs because of the expansive energy they would channel and their bodies had to readjust, which isn’t the easiest always for bunnies.
Astrid is much better at managing her energy and wants me to understand those tweaks and fine-tunings that can help with optimizing my own.
This time it wasn’t about forcing a change by crashing my computer and losing things, but more about mindfulness that gave me the option of tweaking realizations and moving forward more effectively and in bigger ways.
As we go through changes, which right now everyone is experiencing in varying degrees of relative intensity, there are ways to tune into those little tweaks so that we can all optimize our energy.
Sometimes they’re easier to see and feel than others, so reflections like these can assist us.
For me, it seems Astrid is sharing that just as she fully chewed down and got rid of her Carrot Cottage so it no longer takes up any space, in order to make space for her Castle Tower, so too did I need to look at the tiny ways space was being held by things I already embody.
I had even saved the top roof of the Carrot Cottage with the idea to create a little house upstairs for her and she was not interested in the least bit.
So I’ve since removed it completely once she said, “I told you we’re done mom. I love the memories it held of my being welcome to my forever home, but our love is now permanent and the cardboard house takes up space our hearts can use to create and anchor new growth in.”
So, in reflection, while I may have given up the work and things of the past, if it still sits there even as storage space on a computer, or as an item tucked away on a shelf, they’re still taking up space I could breathe more freely in and by removing them I brush away the dust of memories and awaken the sparkle of birthing new stars.
Astrid smiles. “Change is like the beautiful birth of a star.”
You may see rabbits as fragile little creatures, but I assure you they are strong and enduring with a heart of courage. When asked what Astrid wanted to focus today’s blog on, she took time to herself and emerged with clarity saying, “Let’s talk about fear.” I think she’s right-on with this theme, as so many are trying to create new in their lives, follow dreams, heal from past traumas, or even just trying to muster the courage and strength amidst so much collective noise coming at them, that it’s tough. Fear can be all-consuming and paralyzing. It can bring out the best and the worst in us. Astrid wants to assure people that if she and the rabbits can do it, so can you.
Astrid has moved through a lot of fears since choosing to live with me. She used to fight fear when triggered by traumas and this was both in way of reaction AND saying “No, I will not be a victim.”
She’s since discovered that while she can still stand up to fear and victimhood, she also has another creative option that involves opening more to love.
Let’s listen in as Astrid channels the rabbit collective to bring forth their wisdom, while I do my best to be her voice.
She reminds us that rabbits are guides and messengers between worlds – bringing forth information as bridges between the Cosmos, Earth, and Underworlds – and so we can call upon them to help us navigate the journey. She giggles at the reference to “down the rabbit hole” I’m seeing in my mind’s eye because it truly is no metaphor, but a reality both in the seen and unseen worlds of rabbit.
That’s why she finds it funny we think of rabbits as timid, since they are sentinels and guardians of darkness and shadowy depths. She reminds us not to judge a book by its cover. Tricksters they are, and they use their sensitivities to navigate a different kind of journey.
Like Astrid went within to hear what wanted through, I had to get quiet to hear her message, which took me on a labyrinth-like adventure to show me the way of the rabbit.
Astrid says life is a shamanic journey and our fears can be channeled as way-showers for us and a way to take command of our lives. She reiterates with an image of her doing a dramatic thump on the ground with her powerful back legs – a sound that really penetrates here when done on our ceramic tile floors.
Rabbits thump for several reasons….to warn of danger, when they sense something that frightens them, to get our attention, to show dissatisfaction, and to make a point!
I feel it’s a way they move energy through, rather than hold it in and suppress it, just as their chewing allows for this and processing of energy and ideas, as well as that ever-wiggling nose, and those exuberant binkies.
But back to that shamanic journey…Native American legends speak of rabbit as both an ingenious trickster and hero, and that the Great Hare known as Manabozho created the world teaching sacred rites and ritual forms to shamans, as well as brought fire to the people.
Interesting that what many think of as a fragile and cute little fur ball would actually be associated with fire and creation! This goes back much further, but we’ll leave that for another time.
However, in this way we can surmise that understanding the rhyme and reason of things beyond what they seem will reveal the truth of what is beneath the feelings. We initiate ourselves via our challenges and discover that they would not be present if we did not actually have the ingenuity to outwit them.
Rabbit is also known as the “fear caller” who calls out to the very thing it fears until it’s noticed. This is twofold in meaning.
One, it reveals that indeed what you focus on fearing you draw in more of.
But two, you can also use your fear ingeniously as the very inducer to your gifts by calling fear forward to enlist courage and creativity.
Often times, it is when we are pushed to the edge and in survival mode, that we pull out our best to overcome the hurdles and surprise even ourselves.
This can take practice – each time utilizing new creative ways to move through something.
Rabbits encourage us not to let fear block our growth and opportunities. They are wonderful guides to lead us with their keen senses, ability to act swiftly and know what, and when, to embrace, and even the timing necessary to move out of a rut of stagnation.
Because in truth, if we wait too long, or never act, we just might find ourselves withering away – or in the case of a rabbit – succumbing to the very danger they feared.
They even infuse whimsical serendipity into our processes and induce the need to attune ourselves to the fine frequencies that will indicate timing for leaps of faith.
You may wonder when to make a move in some area of your life and get yourself paralyzed with choices, worrying about right or wrong, or allowing past experiences to dictate moving at all.
Rabbits help us to make effective choices with plans and teach us how to look before leaping. But then they DO actually leap. They know that they can’t wait too long, as that could be detrimental.
While we may not meet the fate of a rabbit unable to move from fear, we may create greater pain and suffering than is actually necessary if we let fear take over.
Rabbit does its best to listen to energetic waves within and without and makes a decision in every moment to keep fine-tuning their path. They don’t look at the end result. They simply navigate the moment and every twist and turn with ultra focus on what their body, feelings, and psychic instincts find most resonant.
When you see a rabbit still and alert, they are processing all the stimuli and tuning in to what and when they’ll need to act. They don’t move too soon and they don’t wait too long.
With time, we can nurture a similar process by teaching ourselves this moment-to-moment tuning in.
And what about that debilitating “victim mode” we often put ourselves in?
As some of the biggest victims there are, rabbits help us to change our relationship to this idea and ensure us that just as they’ve survived prolifically over the ages, we too can recreate ourselves, be quicker and more effective, and not only survive, but thrive.
In essence they don’t allow this victim mentality to rule their lives and nor should we.
Fear is actually creative energy blocked. So rather than creativity flowing, it turns on itself and becomes destructive, unconscious emotions running amuck until we nurture and open an outlet for it. And just as creativity is endless, so too can our fears feel like a bottomless pit until we understand this and recognize how to channel it differently.
This is also alchemy at work.
So, when something new is on the horizon, rabbit asks us to be present, tune in, and allow creativity to flow in the way of creating great plans with multiple ways in and out.
Don’t limit yourself.
Don’t be predictable.
Find new ways to blaze your path like the zig-zagging rabbit.
And if fear has you feeling lost in the dark, realize you’re not alone there.
Rabbit is right alongside you in the tunnels of shadow and unseens, gently nudging you with its moist nose of assurance that the fire within your sacred heart DOES know the way.
It may not happen immediately, just as it has taken Astrid a while to navigate this new way of fear through love, but with the right nurturing from yourself, you can find a little rabbit ready to join the journey with you.
Open your arms and let rabbit jump inside to nurture your instincts.
Rabbits are navigators of sound and can move through the darkness with ease.
So can you.
They support the sensitive seer and healer within each of us.
The part of you that knows without knowing.
Fear may not dissipate altogether, but like the rabbit, you might discover your own gift of fear-calling because you’re that clever.
Stop, be present, and look and listen with all of you in a way you never have.
Personal transformation is at hand.
You CAN outwit life and fears and have creative fun exploring the tunnels of possibility along the way.
Rabbit will be right by your side when you do.

The first day of February is a special day, as it will always be Nestor’s day of birth (my twin soul and rabbit companion) here on this Earth plane and back with me in this life. This is such a creative month ignited by today’s celebrations of also being “Imbolc, Candlemas, Groundhog’s Day and St. Bridget’s Day,” and it’s a special month for me sharing a birthday in February alongside my brother, both of my grandparents from France on my mom’s side that are no longer with us (including my favorite grandpa who nurtured the artist me), several dear friends with close birthdays to mine and even sharing the same day as me. Today also kicks off Lee’s new Energy Update for the month of February and feels to be the month I’ll be complete with editing my new book to ready it for the next stage.
Rabbits are reflections of growth, rebirth, awareness, harmony, abundance, creativity, fertility, vulnerability, and Mother Earth’s changing seasons. So Nestor is a powerful way-shower of these energies, as we kick start this new month of February possibilities and leap into the energies available.
Peace and visionary awakening are the themes Lee speaks of hitting the collective big time this month in his new Energy Update video below. He calls this a “high month and cosmic month” in terms of energy available and what is possible for everyone. That feels resonant to me and certainly to Nestor. 🙂
Lee points out and reiterates that action is required for us all and that’s not just about “out there,” but “in here,” inside of you. Not a new message, but definitely needed to keep repeating.
If you’re suffering or tired of the ups and downs, even if you are being of service to others, then it’s time to turn that action on to you and balance these out – fuel yourself!
This isn’t self-indulgence, but a way to show up more in the world the way you desire to and the way to keep your wellspring abundant for the giving and receiving.
Consistency and congruency in life is key – inside out reflections of life lived as an example. I can’t reiterate that enough, as well, as I have seen SO much of this inconsistency blowing up on people lately, especially in prominent positions who speak and represent one message, but behind the scenes are acting out a completely different lifestyle that is like a separate reality.
Self-care increasingly is being the message to us all and really taking care of what is not consistent for you and what is lingering and continuing to spiral around and around.
Nestor was always a great reflector for me of what I was missing and needed to take care of within myself. And she continues to be a daily reminder in my heart, keeping me on track and not straying from my own need for balanced consistency.
Today she would have been 15 and unbelievably it’s already nearly 10 years since she returned to the Cosmos. And yet, her presence is everywhere and disseminated into every part of my life, so that I see a reminder when needed or simply to reflect love.
Make February a month for self-love and this will assist turning around those challenges you have been experiencing and that have been beckoning for your attention.
Following the White Rabbit is where the journey begins…a reminder to take chances in life, follow your intuitive nudges and gut instincts, and let your heart and inner mind lead the way. A new way of feeling, thinking, seeing, believing, and being is just around the corner, or perhaps “down the rabbit hole,” leading you to a new opportunity and a whole whimsical “Wonderland” of unlimited possibilities and magickal experiences.
It feels like so many of us are at the precipice of incredible life changes and the White Rabbit is symbolic of this transitional journey and process, as well as the new opportunities, ideas, and paths you contemplate pursuing or that are knocking on your door to get your attention. Sometimes these unexplored new roads and dreams simply beckon us to follow for the sheer joy and adventure of it because with that approach and lightness of curiosity, you aren’t attached to outcomes and defined parameters and will more fluidly enjoy the process, not to mention receive rich experiences that lead to unimaginable fulfillment.
One of the many things rabbits symbolize is abundance. So when we are faced with this “White Rabbit” offering we are being asked to look at what areas in our lives we would like a greater abundance of a particular experience, feeling, or thing – the white symbolizing purity of essence, a blank canvas to create from, and unlimited possibilities of how you can experience the thing you want since white reflects all the frequencies of light and full spectrum of colors in unity.
Do you want more peace, joy, love, creativity, well being, health, freedom, etc. in your life?
There are many opportunities that present themselves to us daily…some more enticing to follow than others, some opening doors to your dreams if you have the courage to do so, and some simply there to reflect our ability to manifest, but not necessarily needing to pursue.
When you decide to follow the White Rabbit you have engaged the innocence within that desires something more, knows there is another perspective or way to live your life, or feels ready to wander into your dreams more than simply in your imagination, but with all of you.
Sometimes the unbelievable invites us to play and challenges us to expand our horizons and travel a more extraordinary journey that can change our life in all the ways we dreamed and then some.
No matter how ridiculous something seems and how foolish you feel to even entertain it, it is exactly these incredulous things that will help us to make the magickal tangible.
The above photo I posted is of me in one of my favorite tanks, which happens to have an Alice in Wonderland theme, including a White Rabbit, with the message below it, “Follow the White Rabbit”.
I often wear it hiking and did also Down Under – no pun intended in mirror of “Down the Rabbit Hole” 😉 These are times/experiences where I find magickal gifts along the journey from nature and listen and observe for those White Rabbit opportunities showing up along the path that lead me to new ideas, perspectives, and doorways that change my life for the good.
And below, you’ll find a photo of me in my favorite Halloween costume from a few years back, as the White Rabbit. I love this image captured with the skull. It paints a whole story itself.
And synchronously, after my sweet Joy and Cosmo moved on to the otherworld, I had been sensing a white rabbit would be entering my life next and that is exactly what is taking place and so many white rabbit signs have been showing up, especially in Australia to reiterate this and the symbolism.
I will be sharing the story of this rabbit soon, but it all definitely feels potent in terms of a new and exciting journey I’m saying “yes” to and following, literally with my own magickal White Rabbit to guide the way.
Where in your life have you turned an eye to opportunities out of fear or feelings of unworthiness?
Perhaps you might decide to invite a White Rabbit into your life with readiness to embark on an exciting journey, knowing and intending you are in the right place, at the right time, doing the right thing.
Ready, set, go!
Synchronously, I’ve learned they have been showing up for others too, as I received messages in response to that newsletter about how rabbits have been getting the attention of others or have become part of their lives as animal spirit guides.
Rabbits embody the energy of rebirth, transmutation, luck, prosperity, creative potency of the Universe, quick-thinking, high fertility of mind, body, and emotion, agility, receptiveness, Lunar cycles and cyclical life, sacred and regenerative fire of the Phoenix, dawn, Spring, enlightenment, balance, eternity, androgyny, inspiration, genius, and herald a kind of waking life resurrection and realization of increased vitality, energy, or a new-found excitement over life. Phew!
Rabbits bring a message of nurturing your intuitive impulses and nudges from your heart and soul. They are the Cosmic Egg birthing all life.
To me, the rabbit energy is collectively heralding a call for inspiration, imagination, and creativity to channel through, bring forth, and embody. It’s so important to really activate this energy now and begin today to create your own reality, which will provide expansiveness, fulfillment, and new possibilities to your life and the world at large.
Don’t wait for some desired epiphany to hit, simply begin creating with all you already have in this moment to fuel you.
And with today’s New Moon in Aquarius, and the first SuperMoon of the year, it’s all about embodying your inner visionary and being the master creator of your life! A great time to invoke your inner rabbit!
It’s a year to empower yourself, truly embrace your challenges as gifts of opportunity to go to new heights and lengths you’ve only imagined, to take “now” action, and create a new reality and life path from the release of all of the old and the closing of doors behind you fully.
Time to take those risks and challenge yourself to go a little further into the unknown with trust. You have the ability to innovatively create anew. Do the unconventional. Think outside the box. Go where you’ve never gone before and dare to make the impossible possible!
Anytime someone tells me they can’t do something, I simply don’t except it. I ask why not? Within your answer is the key to why you can’t AND why you could.
Spiraling round and round, creating, imagining, transmuting, expanding…
Down taking us up, up taking us down, above and below reflecting one another, they way in is the way out….
Perhaps then you come to know how to be in the world, but not of it.
This for me has indeed ignited a continual deepening journey for myself. Challenging me to listen even more through all of the voices, and to let go of who I had thought myself so far to be, while also undoing everything I uncover that is limiting.
I am shown where I hold myself back – things that are easy can seem to be the way, but if the easy isn’t challenging me and it isn’t feeling invigorating as it did at one time, then that doesn’t for me mean I should keep doing it. I could easily just be hiding behind that, and unknowingly self-sabotaging.
I choose conscious and heightened sensitivities, like that of a rabbit, in order to seek myself out.
I constantly feel the potency in inventing/birthing something new, which isn’t necessarily something “new”, but a richer embodiment of what’s innately within me being activated.
In that process I find that it is potentially more challenging for those around me than it truly is for me because I find peace in constant change and others may attach to any given point of who I am in that particular moment or time period of my life.
I find there to be expectations and attachments that simply don’t resonate with the freeing experience of creative love I choose to have.
And so that is something those of us that choose to embark on transformative and visionary journeys will need to come to terms with…finding peace within and not seeking it from outside, as only you create your experience. And then being okay with the fact you may not be understood, that others could be challenged by what you reflect, and then realize that is THEIR journey and you can’t micro-manage everyone’s life choices.
This also helps to create doorways of possibilities for others if we hold the energy of being okay with journeying there as pioneers with only our vision and trust to light a way into the darkness.
The truly loving thing is to act with responsible accountability for the choices you make and the honoring of your authenticity you seek to embody as example. The rest is a journey we each get to have to the rhythm of our own choosing.
While this journey deeper has included shifts in my personal relating to myself, others, and what channels through me, it also very tangibly translates into actual shifts I know are vital to embrace even within the work I express. And it has included both richer connections, as a result of going more within and connecting with myself.
This is why this is a time very much about my personal expressions and journeys that feel most supportive, expansiveness, and fulfilling. And by nature of that naturally channeling, it is of service in a highest good way that I feel is more powerful than trying to do something in particular to be of service or sacrificing parts of ourselves/energy in the name of what we think is service – which is like forcing your round peg to fit into a square hole. It may have worked before, but it won’t work any longer.
Authenticity of your essence is calling. All-encompassing love is the unifying source that we each creatively express through our whole uniqueness. The richness of life will come from the full exploration, curiosity, and vulnerable embrace of both the dark and the light.
For me that’s why I’m throwing out the familiar and welcoming some very ambitious new visions that are incubating. I’m in process of restructuring my life and life’s work on all levels, deepening the relationships that reflect this and letting go of the ones that don’t, inviting more personal passions – all while listening to the harmony of my heart.
And that has indeed included rabbits, symbolically and literally. (I’ve started volunteer work at a local rabbit rescue and through very synchronous events through a friend and another rabbit organization, a special little bunny may be joining our family).
Rabbits are all around me and within me…and in fact I would go as far as to say I am coming to more fully embody my own inner rabbit and magician – becoming the rabbit’s magician of my own life. Getting my Triple Rabbit tattoo certainly has been integral to integrating its potent energy into my life.
Rabbit inspiration, creative magick, and love! Are you also finding a bit of rabbit enchantment in your own?
On today’s New Moon, invite rabbit energy to inspire that sacred, regenerative fire within you to create wildly!
There is a place the Rabbit knows…of paradox and contradiction…humility and fertility.
Only one that is still enough, yet agile in Spirit can hear the whispers that they murmur.
The Ancients revered and sought this Mystery that only these Sacred Embodiments of the actual, Universal Creative Powers could mediate.
By the illumination of the Mother Star their Sacred Fire both destroys and recreates the Heart of All Life.
The Cosmic Egg birthed of their inspiration is the Jewel you seek.
And yet to See it, one must Be it.
After having a dream with my sweet and magickal rabbit companion, Joy, in it last night, I was guided to reblog this article from 2012 that I wrote, which conveys some of the powerful messages that rabbits convey to us. The message in this post feels energetically timely again in support of the current collective experiences.
I loved how in my dream Joy was laying with me and rolling on her back with paws up in her most vulnerable position, but done totally at will and in joy and peace to share that intimacy and trust with me. Not only did it demonstrate our bond, but she, like all of my animal companions, always know how to send powerful messages for mom.
Yes, we can learn to feel safe, empowered, and in knowingness through our willingness of surrender to, and trust of, our intuition and hearts.
We are being asked to more deeply embrace “knowing”, without the need for “understanding”.
Rabbits would, by most, be thought of as extremely vulnerable “victims” out in the wild, at the mercy of many dangers and predators. Yet, rabbits hold an important message of groundedness and humility, teaching us to listen to our instincts, to be quick-thinking, and move through our fears. They show us that we do not have to be, or remain, “victims” of life and circumstance. We can maneuver through the changing currents of life by becoming more in tune with our intuition, trusting more in what we can feel and not quite yet see, supporting those feelings, and doing it all more easily and rapidly with practice so that it becomes second-nature to feel and react in harmony with those feelings. It can make all the difference in stressful times, especially when timing is of the essence.
Intuition is key and is something we all have access to. We are…

Animal spirit guides always seem to show up when I’m out in nature, likely for many of you too, but I’ve been especially loving the animal spirit wisdom coming through recently and their synchronous timing.
Between the two Rattlesnakes (yes two, as Sunday a Red Diamond Rattlesnake this time was so sweetly coiled resting in the shade on the hike path), a celestial Swallowtail Butterfly on the same day just before the Rattlensnake that gracefully floated and landed on a flower infront of us while my friend and I were in poignant discussion, and two bunnies last evening on a sunset hike – one a smaller Cottontail Rabbit that scurried off, and the other a magical Hare that boldly engaged us as long as we desired and was not afraid, I’m really feeling extra supported and connected to the nature of me, as well as realizing they all have a common theme running through them – especially that of transmutation, creative potential, and renewal.
The Hare was especially memorable and I felt a strong presence of my beloved Nestor around and coming through. Nestor has Hare connections from previous lives and the way that this Hare engaged us reminded me of Nestor’s bold and courageous nature, unafraid of anything, wise, magical, and inquisitively endearing.
It especially felt powerful and worth noting because just the night before seeing the Hare and Cottontail, I had that very active dream sequence night with my Andara under my pillow, as I shared in yesterday’s post, and one of the dreams involved a Hare. So to have just dreamed of one memorably, and then having such an interesting dance of connection the very next evening with one, seemed to be trying to get my attention and/or awareness of the symbolism taking form in my life.
It is also not coincidental that I had meditated and reflected the evening before the dream, and the next morning after, about some core themes that felt to be processing out and integrating, as part of that deep release we are all going through, and felt very collectively tied to something important in need of shifting. Just simply engaging the awareness and embracing its meaning was powerfully transformative. And the shifts are being represented through the manifestation of these symbolisms.
My dream was very involved, but part of it had to do with coming across a large Hare that was either injured or sickly, and it seemed to struggle until I came upon it and allowed me to gingerly scoop it up in my arms, as it rested in stillness, feeling completely safe, and cared for, and trusting I was going to help it and do no harm. I ended up carrying the Hare in my arms for the entire dream sequence, while I was engaged in many things in the dream. All along very conscious of this dear one in my arms, never dropping it, never ceasing to cradle it with care, and able to go on simultaneously with things taking place, as if I had more than two arms and the capability to actively be engaged with the Hare’s needs, while also supporting the things around me. I never once forgot about the Hare and it knew its needs were, and would be, taken care of and I felt a calmness in tenderness in being able to do so.
A part of what I took away from the dream was of course seeing the Hare as representative of myself and an integration taking place symbolically of supporting the parts within me – that inner authentic child of the Universe – while knowing from this place I am able to support everything else and am of thriving service in wholeness in doing so. This is a common theme I’ve also been hearing/feeling.
Interesting to note also that the night before, the Hare in my dream was weak and sickly and by end of the day, the Hare I came upon on the sunset hike was alive, thriving, engaging, and partnering in an energetic dance with me. Not only does this feel to be symbolic of my integration of things, but directly a renewing symbolism that occurred with the Hare after my consciously tending to its/my needs. 🙂 The Hare also happened to show up at the very end of the hike (in which I’d been engaged in channeling very flowing communication of so much I have been processing lately into a collective message) very near where Sunday we’d seen the Red Diamond Rattesnake.
Hares are symbolic of rebirth, luck, prosperity, creativity, quick-thinking, self-sacrifice, high fertility, agility, receptiveness, and speed, to name a few things. They herald a kind of waking life resurrection and a realization of increased vitality, energy, or a new-found excitement over life.
Creativity is also a form of fertility and of ripening, fresh ideas so Hares can bring a message of nurturing your intuitive impulses and nudges from your heart and soul.
Hares showing up or running can be symbolic of your experiences calling for agility or to stop over-analyzing things and over-use your mind for everything. Time to allow your intuitive processes to guide you.
The symbolism as self-sacrifice is not as well known, but it stems from Buddhist tradition where the rabbit sacrificed itself in order to save a starving Buddha. This seemed poignant to my dream and things I was reflecting on, as well as specifically is connected to things in Nestor’s soul experiences.
If the Hare appears sacrificially or is thin/dying in a dream or real life, there may be a personal connection to your own feelings of being a sacrificial object or that the sacrifice is unnoticed and unappreciated in a hopeless cause of giving yourself away.
Synchronously, I have found this to be a recurring theme floating in the collective current processing and something many of us have had to, and are, learning to rebalance in our lives in a productive way. I know I have definitely had to integrate this in my own experiences, carried forth from past lives, and create healthy boundaries, as well as strengthen and cultivate my own aliveness so that what I give out comes from an authentic place that is part of a harmonious circle of natural giving and receiving.
I am still feeling remnants of yesterday’s Hare connecting. And am constantly being mindfully grateful of the messages being received.
From a past post, you’ll remember me sharing how Hares/Rabbits are powerfully profound in their transmutational energies. The Ancients found them one of the most mysterious and perplexing beings, thought to be hermaphrodites (male one month and female the next), with powers of self-impregnation. Since Hares reflect the idea of balance between masculine and feminine they are highly regarded as sacred, mediators of the sacred, and embodying actual creative powers of the Universe.
Hares are also associated with the Moon, lunar cycles, and cyclical life, are considered creatures of fire – the “Sacred Fire” that is the same regenerative fire of the Phoenix – thus destruction and recreation of the heart of all life. They are connected with the dawn, enlightenment, Spring, the Cosmic Egg from which the Cosmos is produced, and embody balance, creative potency, eternity, androgyny, genius, and inspiration.
I am grateful for my rabbit connection and choosing to live a conscious life.
Wishing everyone a mystical, magical and revealing Halloween, All Hallows’ Eve, Samhain, as the Celtic neopagans and Wiccans know this Gaelic festival to be, or whatever resonates most with you.
Having this day follow the very powerful Taurus Full Moon, indeed lends to the energy of transformative endings, seeing more deeply to the core, understanding the product of your inner harvest, and reaching through the veils to the heart of your values and beliefs to create the new.
For a few fun, brief insights about some of the most popular Halloween symbols perhaps you’ll enjoy Avia Venefica’s “Meaning of Halloween Symbols” from her awesome site that shares a plethora of symbolic meanings: www.whats-your-sign.com .
I happened upon photos of my dearly departed Nestor from her last Halloween on this Earth and being that she is so literally and symbolically magical (you can read about hare/rabbit symbolism here: Hare Symbolism for the New Earth – Birthing the Cosmic Egg) and always helped me to look beyond the veil, I felt to share one here.
Enjoy the magical alchemy of this now experience.
Pixie, kobold, elf, and sprite,
All are on their rounds tonight;
In the wan moon’s silver ray,
Thrives their helter-skelter play.
